Hello everyone, it's been a while. I visited Ikushunbetsu in Mikasa City. On the way back from Ikushunbetsu, I happened to see a sign for melons a little further away and decided to stop by. I enjoyed a delicious ozaru at Morekoshi and was about to leave when I noticed a melon flag in the distance. Since this area is known for IK melons, I decided to buy some as souvenirs. As I headed towards the location, I noticed a charming stone warehouse with beautiful ivy. A man was diligently cleaning around the shop in the hot weather. I wondered what kind of shop this was. I quickly searched on Google and found out that it was a sweets shop. I always make sure to read reviews before visiting a place, and I was impressed by the humble and polite responses from the shop owner. This interaction convinced me to visit the shop. The shop doesn't have a parking lot, but parking is allowed around the shop. Ikushunbetsu is not strict on parking outside the main street. The shop has a lovely exterior, and there is a step unique to stone warehouses at the entrance, so be careful. The shop offers only two items in the refrigerated showcase – parfait and melon jelly. The owner, originally from Sapporo, opened the shop in May. Three months have passed since then. The parfait, priced at 770 yen, is a luxurious treat with layers of carefully crafted ingredients, including Hokkaido melon, raspberry and cranberry mousse, chocolate cream, and rooibos sponge cake. It is delicious and worth the price. The area of Ikushunbetsu is a popular tourist spot on the way to Furano. It is frequented by rental cars and large trucks, especially in the summer. There are interesting attractions nearby, such as the Mikasa Geopark and remnants of coal mining. The shop's English name and search results in foreign languages indicate its appeal to inbound tourists. The owner's commitment to opening the shop near the melon-producing area and the excellent support for newcomers in Mikasa City are key factors in its success. I believe there is great potential for this shop. It may be challenging, but keep up the good work. I'm rooting for you.

This is a sweets shop in Mikasa that uses delicious melons and pumpkins grown locally. They create unique sweets using these ingredients in a historic stone storehouse renovated from 100 years ago. On this day, they only had pumpkin pudding available, but I was told that melon sweets will be available on weekends.
