From the Pronto in front of the train station, it's a short walk to the hotel. The Starbucks nearby can get a bit crowded, while Komeda, just across the traffic light from the station, tends to be moderately busy. However, the Pronto about 50 meters away is usually quiet, which I really like! It’s a place where you can quietly drop in by yourself, and if you sit by the window, you can enjoy watching the trains and feel relaxed. If you’re using Tabata Station, the Pronto that’s a little farther away offers a more leisurely experience! Hope this helps!

Iced coffee is 400 yen, Pokémon is 1,000 yen… I thought it was fine since they seemed happy, but I ended up going in, swayed by the sounds of the kids enjoying Pokémon. It was a café attached to a hotel next to the station, with a convenient smoking area diagonally in front. Since there's not much in Tabata Station, it had a relaxed atmosphere with a steady flow of customers, making it quite comfortable.

Pronto has reopened in Tabata, where there was only Starbucks, and I'm really grateful for it! I've only visited during lunch hours, but I've never seen it fully booked. The coffee is delicious, and there are light meals like sandwiches, which makes it convenient. However, if you go around 1 PM, there are often no sandwiches left. I will continue to use it!

On a Sunday afternoon, I felt like having coffee and something sweet, so I decided to visit. In Tabata, there's Starbucks in the Atre building and Komeda Coffee inside the ASUKA Tower. This Pronto is unique because they serve alcohol, so I've stopped by after work before. In fact, this might be my first time using it as a cafe. I secured a seat first and then ordered at the counter. I was intrigued by the "Brulee in Baum" and ordered it along with an iced coffee. Everything was served to me right away. The Baum was delicious, soaked with a sweet sauce. Since it isn't caramelized with a burner, the crispy texture of the brulee is minimal, but it pairs well with the coffee. They only allow electronic cigarettes in a designated smoking area. Enjoying the train view from the window was also a nice touch. Thank you for the meal!

Pronto's dual operation may seem simple, but it’s quite a rare find in this location. In the evening, it feels more like a cost-effective izakaya than a bar, and it's surprisingly lively with a mix of solo drinkers and groups, creating a nice atmosphere. The focus on whiskey is evident, and they have a good selection of both domestic and international options, which is a pleasant surprise. The food is casual and great for a laid-back experience. You can look down and see the train yard in Tabata, and before you know it, you end up staying longer than planned.

The Pronto that was located inside the hotel has closed, and I've lost a convenient place to have a quick drink after work. However, it has returned with a slightly changed menu. Before moving, I went here with a friend for a casual drink. The beer was around 600 yen. It seems that sour cocktails made with shochu are the main beverage offered now. Traditionally, Pronto had a variety of cocktails, but they don’t have those anymore, although they do offer a few types of whiskey. We ordered about five items from the izakaya menu, including ham katsu, spaghetti with tomato sauce, and fried cartilage. I think we each had about three drinks, and the total for two people was just over 6000 yen. It's really great to have such a convenient place like this. Thank you for the meal!

I had lunch and ordered the Eggplant and Bacon Tomato Sauce pasta for 750 yen. The taste was at a level typical of chain restaurant spaghetti; I can't say it was delicious. It seems that many "pasta girls" are okay with this. I felt like I was paying just for the seat. I checked the calorie count on Asuken, and it was 835 kcal. That's quite high! I should have opted for the salad instead. The counter seats by the window with a view of the train, and the four adjacent seats in the back, are way too cramped. I noticed that no one was sitting there. It seems different from how it was before the restaurant closed. I think they should rearrange the seating.

During the daytime at the café, it doesn't bother me, but after the store reopened, I've noticed that the service from the staff has become quite noticeable, especially at the Kissakaba. It seems like the café staff comes over to chat rather than focusing on their tasks. Even though there are several people working, they didn't notice my order or the payment when I came in. I think there was one really capable person among them!
Today’s order included a cheap highball, a Midori gin soda, and the classic lemon soda. The second drink is 320 yen, and from the third drink onward, it’s a very affordable 180 yen! I had a problem with this great system last time when my order was mistakenly handled.
I wanted to try the Kissakaba’s Napolitana that I had been curious about for a while. There are two types: a red one and a white one. In the illustration, the red one looks like a standard Napolitana, while the white one has an egg on top, and I couldn't tell what flavor it was. I asked the staff about it. They informed me that the red is a tomato sauce Napolitana, and the white one is a Napolitana without tomato sauce but topped with an egg!… (I could have figured that out by looking!). I then asked, "Is the white one similar to yakisoba?" They responded, “Let me check!” What? They didn’t know?! Incredible… After checking, they said it tastes like a mix of peperoncino and carbonara. I’ll review it if I get the chance.
It took a lot of time, so I went to the restroom. When I returned and sat down, I overheard the staff chatting and heard someone mention that I had gone to the restroom. A plate of Napolitana that seemed to be mine was left behind next to me. “I’m right here!” they eventually realized and came back to apologize profusely for the wait.
The taste was great! The egg was also placed underneath the Napolitana. The combination of powdered cheese and Tabasco worked wonderfully. Proント's Kissakaba concept is truly excellent; the flavor is good and visually appealing. But with the staff like this… what a disappointment.

The last alcohol for now, I went to Motsuyaki Tatsuya, which will be closed for about ten days from the 16th, so I headed to Pronto to work on sticking my goshuin (temple stamps). At Pronto, I found a great deal. Although it was a bargain, the part-time staff didn’t seem to understand the meaning of "great deal." When I ordered, they initially thought I was ordering a lemon sour, which I wasn't! So I ended up being told that the price wouldn’t go down. I feel that Pronto should really improve their staff training if they want to be considered a café bar. Nowadays, many part-time workers at café-styled places don’t understand alcohol. Together with Suzuhou, this marks my seventh drink. I realize I might have a problem with alcohol dependency.

Today, I went to the Kissakaba again. It was so cheap! I started with a Jim Beam highball for 390 yen, then had a Midori gin soda for 320 yen, and followed up with the classic lemon sour, which is just 180 yen. After the fourth drink, they were all 180 yen.
For food, I ordered my mom's homemade ham and egg for 420 yen, cheese potato mochi for 390 yen, and a big baked cheese taro for 350 yen. The classic pudding, which is quite firm, was 550 yen. The small cheese taro never came, and the potato mochi was also small. The ham and egg were perfectly runny. The pudding to finish was delicious. It's nice to have something sweet at the end.
However, I got really annoyed with the student staff who seemed like they shouldn’t be in an izakaya—they just weren’t attentive. They didn’t come to take my orders, and they didn’t clear the plates, which made the alcohol buzz fade away.

Pronto's Kissakaba. 10 octopus-shaped sausages for 490 yen, Bice Sour for 520 yen, and Frozen Fruit Sour with lots of strawberry milk for 820 yen. First, the Bice Sour and probably the chuhai are both weak. The appetizer was almonds? The octopus sausages are Instagram-worthy, but the taste is not that great. The strawberry milk tastes like just a bit of alcohol mixed into milk. The non-alcoholic version is more delicious. Kissakaba is visually appealing for Instagrammers, but the taste leaves something to be desired.

When you think of "Pronto," you probably picture a well-known coffee chain in urban areas. However, for some reason, I have come to associate it primarily with pasta. This time, I visited the "Pronto Hotel Mets Tabata" located on the first floor of a hotel near JR Tabata Station in Tokyo’s Kita Ward. I went in the evening, and outside the restaurant, there was a sign saying "Kissakaba." I wondered what that was about. Upon entering the restaurant, I realized that in the evening, it mostly operates like an izakaya (Japanese pub). I was a bit worried about whether I could only dine without alcohol, but it turns out that is possible. However, the food menu without alcohol is quite limited. From the few options available, I ordered the "Kissakaba White Napolitan" (tax included 869 yen) pasta. To my surprise, it was quite delicious. Next to the pasta was a high-quality fried egg, which really enhanced both the appearance and satisfaction of the dish. You can sprinkle as much cheese powder as you like on the pasta; I personally enjoyed using a generous amount. The pasta was made with peppers and cheese, really living up to its name as a Napolitan. Instead of using tomato ketchup, they opted for cream, which turned out to be a delightful twist. It was creamy and easy to eat, maintaining the essence of a good Napolitan without losing its charm.

I visited the café "Pronto Hotel Mets Tabata" located just a minute's walk from Tabata Station around 11 a.m. on a day in April 2021. The interior of the café was a comfortable size with about five customers already there. I ordered the "Salmon Tarako Butter" for ¥650 along with a "Salad Set" for ¥300. After picking up my iced coffee from the salad set, I sat at a table and waited for my meal.
After about 7 or 8 minutes, my food was served. The pasta, topped with salmon and butter, came with a rather small salad and the iced coffee. The salad had a refreshing dressing, but the limited variety of vegetables left something to be desired. As I enjoyed the tarako pasta while melting the butter, I found the thinly sliced salmon to be mild and easy to eat. However, the amount of tarako was a bit lacking; it would have been better with a little more coating the pasta.
I believe the pasta was made with fresh noodles, but it lacked the expected chewiness. Overall, the pasta set wasn't very impressive in terms of taste. The iced coffee, however, was surprisingly generous in quantity, so I was able to take it back to the office and enjoy it after finishing the pasta and salad. Considering the portion size and quality, I found it hard to say that the set menu offered value for money.

On January 31, 2020, at 8:15 AM, I visited a café and bar that opened 6 years and 10 months ago in March 2013, located at the Hotel Mets Tabata on the first floor, near Tabata Station along Tabata Station Front Street. This was my 13th visit after a month. The interior has a calm atmosphere with wood and brick accents and chic lighting. Upon entering, there is a counter seating area on the right, table seating in the middle left, another counter seating in the back left, and more table seating at the very back, totaling 54 seats, making it quite spacious. During my visit, about 20% of the seats were occupied, and it remained fairly empty. The clientele was composed of 60% men and 40% women. Service was provided efficiently by one female staff member. From January 1 (Wed) to January 31 (Fri), there was a promotion where registering for the "Pukatsu" app offered one free drink. Since it was the last day of the campaign, I decided to visit. Upon registering for the app, I was able to get a free draft beer or a glass of wine, so I ordered the draft beer for 0 yen. It was served just one minute after I ordered. The bonus was a complimentary draft beer, generous and delicious!

★3.1【FILE 1249】2018/09/21 (Friday) 08:52 I visited a cafe and bar located on the first floor of Hotel Mets Tabata, which opened in March 2013 in the space that used to be Steak & Restaurant Rapport along the Tabata Station front street. This was my 9th visit after 1 year and 2 months. The interior, featuring wood and brick, creates a calm atmosphere with chic lighting. Upon entering, there's counter seating on the right, table seating in the middle left, more counter seating in the back left, and additional tables at the very back, making for a relatively spacious 54 seats. During my visit, about 20% of the seats were occupied, and it remained quite empty throughout my stay. The customer demographic was approximately 60% male and 40% female. The service was handled efficiently by one female staff member.
The menu included a Morning Muffin S Bacon Set for 420 yen. I ordered the Muffin S Bacon, and it was served just one minute after I ordered. The set included a Muffin S Bacon and an iced coffee. The muffin, featuring bacon and cheese, was presented on a small plate, giving a rather cheap impression at first glance. The iced coffee served at the cafe didn't elevate the experience. Overall, the morning meal felt somewhat cheap and didn't meet expectations.

This is the Pronto located at Tabata B4T. In the evening, they offer a "Kissakaba" menu, which gives it a significant izakaya vibe. They also have a great drink system that offers good value, making it a positive experience.

Night at Pronto. Kissakaba has returned. Cream soda, Blue Hawaii - 590 yen, quite firm classic pudding - 550 yen. The pudding is really firm. It definitely has a retro café vibe. Today, I’m going non-alcoholic.

The Pronto at Hotel Mets has returned as Hotel B4T! I used to love Pronto, so I'm really happy ☺️ The interior hasn't changed much either. The only thing that has changed is the position of the trash can. Can you see in the photo? A freight train is passing by.
