It's about a 5-minute walk from Sugamo Station. The interior is spacious. There is a large selection of food and drink options, and the prices aren't too high, so I would like to visit again. The payment methods are also diverse, including transportation IC cards and barcode payment options.

I visited for lunch on a holiday. It seems that the lunch menu is only available on weekdays, but they have an all-day menu, including set meals, so it's a place you can go for a meal or lunch drinks. The menu is quite extensive and affordable. I had the grilled chicken thigh with rock salt set meal and gyoza. The dish came with a generous serving of cabbage, which I enjoyed with yuzu pepper and mayonnaise. The gyoza was packed with ginger flavor and very delicious. They were slightly small and light, making them easy to eat.

I, an old man, love this chain restaurant. The location is great, and it’s bright, clean, and has a friendly atmosphere. First, they offer a free vice sour when you follow them on Instagram! Then I ordered the ultimate “senbero” set for ¥1,200 (tax included ¥1,320). It includes bean sprout namul (1 coin), seaweed roll with toro-taku tower (3 coins), Korean-style cheregi salad with green onions (3 coins), and a large fried chicken (1 coin). I also got a chuhai (1 coin) and a oolong tea highball (1 coin), totaling 10 coins! I added three salt grilled chicken skewers (¥297), a large salt tsukune (¥275), and an imo shochu on the rocks (¥429). Even after all that food and drink, it only cost me ¥2,321 in total! I'm really stuffed now. I wanted to try the Showa-style Chinese soba and half fried rice set (¥979) later, but... it was risky at night ⚠️. I held back firmly. The grilled chicken skewers from this chain are really cost-effective and healthy, making them my favorite. It's a testament to their corporate effort. The only downside is that the alcohol in the sour and other mixed drinks tends to be weak. Overall, it's still a fantastic value! Please continue to support us old men who feel lost. Thank you very much, and I really enjoyed the meal.

I visited the recommended Tengu Big Hall for the first time. I ordered the counter seat-only "Senbero Set," which costs 1,200 yen plus tax and comes with 10 coins. You can choose your favorite food and drinks. I immediately ordered a beer, but after looking at the menu more closely, I realized that the beer was expensive and I might have been better off ordering it normally instead of as part of the Senbero. I got a draft beer mug and steamed chicken with green onions and ginger for 3 coins, salted fried young corn for 2 coins, and a punch lemon sour and 3 gyoza for 1 coin each. I had a great time eating and drinking. I think it’s a fun system that makes me want to come back again and again. Considering that even a casual café visit typically costs over 1,000 yen these days, it’s really nice to enjoy drinks at this price.

I was looking for a place to eat in Sugamo, but suddenly I just couldn't feel motivated. The famous place for motsuni (stewed offal) was closed. That's when I came across Tengoku. It's quite different from the Tengoku I know, but it's casual and easy to enter. I think it's worth remembering!

Taking advantage of a weekday off, I went to Sugamo for some bar hopping. I didn't know there was a Tengu branch at a station I often use. Since it was early and I was alone, I took advantage of the counter-exclusive "senbero" deal: 10 coins for 1,200 yen before tax. You order the first drink directly from the staff, and after that, you use a QR code to order.
For my first drink, I got a draft beer (3 coins). Then, I compared the prices of the usual menu items and chose some snacks. There were about 6-7 options available for just 1 coin. I decided to add a potato salad (1 coin). Normally, it's only 150 yen, but it was packed with bacon and corn, making it really satisfying.
For my second drink, I went for a Hoppy set (3 coins). Since the middle drink was 1 coin, considering I wanted 2 refills for that, the snacks I could choose from were also 1 coin each. I saw they had a fried egg option and, without hesitation, I added that! Eggs are a complete food after all.
In total, I enjoyed 4 drinks and 2 snacks for just 1,200 yen, which I found extremely satisfying! The restaurant had a TV installed and also offered set meals, catering to a wide range of customers!

The restaurant near Sugamo Station, within a 5-minute walk, was very clean as if it had just opened. I received a special promotion for following them on Instagram! There was also a "thousand yen corner." Despite ordering a variety of dishes, the total for two people was just under 4,000 yen, which was an amazing value! The air conditioning was very strong, making it a bit uncomfortable to stay for long, so we left relatively quickly. The food was delicious. I was disappointed that the black tea I ordered wasn’t unsweetened. QR payment is available.

The restaurant has a counter, plays relatively new Western music, and allows ordering via smartphone. They have Hoppy, highballs, and lightly crispy gyoza filled with mackerel that's been dried overnight. They also serve fugu fin sake, which took a while to drink because it was too hot. The fried chicken curry seemed a bit questionable in its doneness, but there were no issues. The menu includes options for both a dining hall and izakaya-style dining, as well as a special kids' menu. It seems to aim to be a casual dining spot where you can drink, but there’s definitely room to expand the set meal options (like ginger pork or chicken and egg bowl). It's nice that they're open for drinks starting at noon on Sundays, and it tends to be quite empty right after opening, which is great.

Tonight's dinner was at Tengu Grand Hall near Sugamo Station. It’s the third consecutive drinking party. I was intrigued by the 2,500 yen menu for the weekday all-you-can-drink plan, which offers 2 hours of drinks, extending to 3 hours. I visited with colleagues from work. The interior of the restaurant is new and clean, and the table seating allows for separation from other groups, creating a nice atmosphere.
The all-you-can-drink options have some restrictions, but they include beer, highballs, sours, wine, sake, and soft drinks, which was satisfying. The course menu for food was delicious, but I felt it was a bit lacking, so we ordered extra. Even then, the total cost was under 3,000 yen per person, making it an appreciated choice for dining out. Thank you for the meal!

Huh? Was there a place like this? After kicking, we went to "Taisyu Shokudo Tengu Dai Hall." Is it like a cheaper version of Tengu? A tower of toro-taku... a tower?! Gyoza, avocado tempura? And everyone can have three of those octopus sausages. We had grilled mackerel, liver skewers, and fried udon. We really ate a lot after the kick! #AfterKickDrinking #TaisyuShokudoTenguDaiHall

I was attracted by the various menu displays in front of the restaurant and decided to try it for the first time during lunch. It was a relatively quiet late lunch hour on a weekday! The fried chicken with green onion sauce was delicious, and the miso soup with seaweed was also great! I really enjoyed my meal! I’m also curious about the evening izakaya menu! A few days later, I went back for dinner. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the newly opened location for a patrol. Over 30 years ago, during my student days, I frequently went to the Shibuya Dogenzaka store. The mysterious highball for 90 yen and the 5-piece gyoza for 100 yen (opening special) are incredibly cheap. The dice steak that existed long ago is still on the menu, but it seems to have a more refined taste compared to the past. This place is perfect for a light drink and meal. Thank you for the great food!

- 2nd floor, counter & table seating, non-smoking (smoking area available) - no appetizer; special opening price until 11/26, great deal! I was walking around drinking near the "Yutaka Shokudo" when an older gentleman was handing out flyers... I accidentally wandered in because of the opening deal\(^o^)/ It was really crowded!! Surprisingly spacious!! It’s non-smoking, but since it’s part of the Kandayasan family that I love, I thought there would be a smoking area! And there was!! Thank goodness〜\(^o^)/
Opening special: ¥90 (¥99) - unlimited refills!!
★Punch Lemon Sour★Highball
Opening special: ¥100 (¥110) - one per person only
★Homemade Fried Dumplings: These dumplings don’t contain garlic or chives but are flavored with ginger. They’re flavorful enough to enjoy without dipping! I wanted to order more!! Normally priced at ¥140 for 3 pcs, ¥280 for 6 pcs, and ¥550 for 12 pcs. I definitely want to eat these again!! Personally, I love dumplings stuffed with lots of garlic and chives too♪ I might want to try these dumplings with garlic added, haha! They’re delicious even without anything!
★Cream Cheese with Coarse Wasabi: ¥290 Simple dishes like this are so tasty! The wasabi has quite a kick! It’s the kind that makes your nose hurt, but it’s delicious!! Bonito flakes and cream cheese go really well together! I've been to many Kandayasan locations, but it’s my first time at Tengu Grand Hall!! It’s pretty great here too~ I’m curious about the set meals that come with dumplings~ With the opening special prices, ★4!

Taking it easy with some bar hopping… As I was walking around after visiting a few places, I noticed a staff member outside handing out flyers for an opening celebration. I often frequent Kanda-ya, but I had never been to Tengu Dai Hall. So, I thought, why not? I followed the staff member inside… The lively and bright atmosphere of the restaurant was filled with people enjoying themselves. I actually don’t mind this kind of unique vibe.
Anyway, since it was an opening event, drinks were only 90 yen — such a great deal! And I could order as many as I wanted. So, I got a punch lemon sour, a highball, and some grilled dumplings for 100 yen. The cream cheese with wasabi was 290 yen. Even the dumplings were just 100 yen for the opening celebration! I could only get one order, but as a dumpling lover, I really appreciated it.
These dumplings had a strong ginger flavor and were delicious — definitely a ginger dumpling type. The cream cheese with wasabi had an intense kick, making me sniffle while eating. Haha, that wasabi could probably accompany ten drinks worth of alcohol! Maybe it was because it was a new store, but the service was really pleasant, and I enjoyed my time drinking. I think I’d like to visit again at a more relaxed time… With that in mind, I moved on to the next place. Thank you for the meal!

Sapporo Lager large bottle 759 yen, chicken neck skewer 165 yen, liver skewer 209 yen, squid liver sashimi 275 yen, special sale highball 99 yen (until 11/26) ×4, fresh green pepper potato salad 319 yen, total 2,123 yen. I visited after work on a weekday. There were many customers ahead of me and many coming in after. There were a lot of energetic staff members. It's the trendy type where you scan a QR code with your smartphone to order. The special "senbero" menu for counter seats is limited to the first 20 customers. The menu seemed surprisingly sparse. Although they might not have enough supplies, the ice was minimal, which was quite nice.

This was my first time here, and there were various menu options. The portion sizes for each item were not large, but being able to order different things was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the "overflowing sparkling wine" didn't overflow at all, which was disappointing. The same goes for the sake. Although sake doesn't have "overflowing" in its name, it felt like there was less than expected. It wasn’t poured at the table; it was just brought to us, so it seemed to be poured in smaller amounts. Other than that, everything was generally good.

Dumplings, teppan fried rice, and more. It seems like a good cost-performance ratio, but maybe it's not quite that great? The drinks have too much ice and are diluted, which is disappointing.
