However, at around 12:15, the chime rang and office workers from the ward office started coming in, forming a line. It is recommended to arrive before 12:15 or after the peak time around 1 pm. It's better to go early as they may run out of set meals later. *Daily special for 600 yen. On this day, it was grilled beef short rib stamina. You can get a free extra serving of rice, which is nice. However, the rice was not of good quality, a bit dry and not very tasty. The grilled beef consisted of 5 pieces with stir-fried vegetables like cabbage, bean sprouts, and leeks on the side. A raw egg was also included as a topping. The sauce was a bit thin, and the vegetables released a lot of moisture, diluting the flavor. The miso soup had seaweed as an ingredient. I also saw someone eating curry rice, which looked delicious, with that typical cafeteria-style curry appeal.

I was informed that the Katsu would be fried freshly, so it would take some time. I agreed to wait. After 8 minutes, it was ready. Katsu Curry Udon: The Tonkatsu was freshly fried and piping hot. I ate it while blowing on the hot curry udon broth. The Tonkatsu had a commercial feel, but since it was freshly fried and hot, it tasted good. The curry broth tasted like curry rice roux dissolved in udon broth. The broth also had the spiciness of curry roux. Additionally, the curry ingredients like beef chunks and carrots were left as they were, making the udon gradually softer in the warm broth. Price: 650 yen "Katsu Curry Udon" with freshly fried Katsu is also 650 yen. It's a satisfying menu for 650 yen. If the udon was firmer, I would rate it 4.0 stars. They have a poster saying "Free extra rice!" but please give me a smaller portion. I dip shredded cabbage in the miso soup with no ingredients... The daily hamburger comes with a hand-shaped patty. It's a nostalgic, tightly packed hamburger that makes me thirsty... I wish they could put a little more effort! The place is not crowded, and it feels a bit lonely.

I added an egg and asked for some extra red pickled ginger to help balance it out. The miso soup was not the typical Yoshinoya version, but instead had seaweed, green onions, and a few carrot slices. The coffee served after the meal was in the standard meeting room cup, which made me wonder if it was pre-made, but to my surprise, it tasted fresh and I could add sugar to my liking. The cafeteria at the government office had a display case with old-fashioned food sample menus. For some reason, they were featuring Yoshinoya's beef bowl that day, but LP ordered the pork cutlet curry. Purchased the meal ticket from the machine, handed it to the lady in the kitchen, and waited on the spot. In just a few seconds, the meal was ready! Of course, speed is key, but the cutlet was pre-fried and the portion seemed a bit small for a man. The taste was, well, like a peaceful Bon●レー. It lacked spiciness, so it was a bit lacking in punch. By around 12:30, government workers started arriving one after another, giving us a glimpse of the typical scene at the office. For us, who don't usually visit, it was a refreshing lunch break. It's actually located on the fifth floor of the adjacent Citizens' Center. I arrived around 11:15 to avoid the crowds, as it opens at 11:00. There were no other customers. The place is clean and just the right size. I bought a meal ticket and handed it over at the counter, and my meal was served promptly. I had the A set meal for 550 yen, which was herb-grilled chicken. The meat was tender and cooked just right. It was delicious with a good thickness. However, the strong sauce was a bit overpowering for the herb flavor. Personally, I think a tomato sauce might be a better match. The side dishes were well-balanced in portion. The spaghetti with curry flavor was colorful and tasty. Since both staff and elderly people visit the ward office and citizens' center, it's desirable to have dishes that are universally enjoyed in terms of tenderness and portion size. I would give this place a high rating. I overheard the staff saying "thank you" to each other, which is a sign of good service. It would have been even better if they used disposable chopsticks. Since this is a cafeteria for government employees, let's reduce waste. I wish they also offered coffee for 100 yen after the meal since it's not crowded.

I handed the ticket to the counter, poured water, and was called to a table by the window in 3 minutes. I sprinkled some shichimi, placed chopsticks and a plastic lotus on the tray, and sat down. [Visit by the Food Exploration Team] On August 28, 2015, at 1:00 PM, as part of the Food Exploration Team's community activities, we visited this cafeteria. This leaves only the Atsubetsu Ward Office cafeteria to explore in Sapporo City's ward office cafeterias. Upon arrival, there were no other customers. Some menu items like ankake yakisoba, Chuka-don, and Tenshinhan were already sold out. I decided to go for the daily special set meal, choosing between Tandoori Chicken and White Fish Fritter. I opted for the White Fish Fritter priced at 500 yen. After ordering and preparing my tray, I waited for about 2 minutes for the meal to be served. The soup had a burnt smell and was extremely hot with a thick consistency. It was so hot that it burned my mouth when I tried to drink it normally. There were chunks of burnt bits in the soup, probably from overheating. I decided not to finish the soup as it seemed harmful to my health. The White Fish Fritter turned out to be frozen and was accompanied by a lukewarm sauce on top of the batter. The rice was not very appetizing, and the salad vegetables were a bit stale. I added some self-service dressing to the salad, which included plum, shiso, sesame, apple vinegar, grain vinegar, black vinegar, soy sauce, and other basic seasonings. The cafeteria seemed to be popular for its ankake dishes, but with many lunch options available nearby, I don't think I would make the effort to revisit this cafeteria on the 3rd floor.

Why would they have this in a local cafeteria!?... A quick search revealed that they're a company that has worked on restaurants in Umihotaru and Ebina SA. So, having well-known restaurants overseeing this cafeteria makes sense. Well, the taste wasn't anything to write home about (^_^)a. The spicy sauce was pretty good, but the ingredients were lacking. Perhaps they serve generous portions to prevent people from feeling sleepy during work in the afternoon. The taste is decent, not luxurious, but at least they should serve the basic dishes warm. The menu includes A set meal for 500 yen, B set meal for 480 yen, and ramen for 400 yen. The sample set meal I saw looked decently tasty and seemed to have a good portion size. I was strongly drawn to it, but because I had indulged over the previous weekend, I needed to keep my lunch light for calorie control. I purchased a soy sauce ramen ticket. It had wavy medium-thin noodles. The soup was a bit light in flavor. It's good for health. The toppings included bamboo shoots, fish cake, 1 slice of char siu, seaweed, and green onions. It felt like a typical commercial product, but it didn't disappoint too much. It's all within expectations. The content seems acceptable for the price. Well, the set meal still seems better. As a fun fact, the staff's lunch break is supposed to be from 12:15 to 13:00, so between 12:00 and 12:15 is a good time to go as it's less crowded.
