When I went in August, the parking lot was full for the first time since July. It seems like the menu has expanded. I saw someone at another table order the "Seafood Bowl Tempura and Soba Set" for 1500 yen, which looked delicious with seafood bowl, tempura, and soba. We ordered the "Large Shrimp Tempura Bowl" which came with 3 crispy shrimp, green pepper tempura, pumpkin tempura, and deep-fried sweet potato. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After a long time, we visited Tokin Shokudo. I tried the Ladies Set for the first time, which included mini soba, mini tendon inari soba, salad, mozuku vinegar, miso soup, and pickles. The mini soba was not as small as I expected, and it was a good deal for 1200 yen. The miniature tendon had 2 shrimp, pumpkin, eggplant, and bell pepper, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband had the katsudon set, which came with rice and a separate dish of katsudon, miso soup, pickles, and soba. Although my mini soba and his katsudon were served on the same plate, he said his portion was generous. It was a funny and enjoyable menu. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I visited the restaurant again with a pounding heart from last time! It was unexpectedly quiet, so the service was calm and polite, and the food was served quickly. The staff efficiently cleared our table after we finished eating, which was great. The large shrimp tempura rice bowl had three plump shrimp with crispy vegetables like green peppers, pumpkin, and tempura, all coated in a not too sweet or heavy sauce, making it delicious. And let's not forget the miso soup! It was so tasty that I couldn't help but let out a satisfied "mmm" after just one sip. The parking lot had been repainted, and the snow had melted, revealing budding bulb flowers. I look forward to coming back in this upcoming season to enjoy the food while looking out at the garden.

The menu has changed and expanded. The food is delicious, but the operation of the two staff members at the restaurant...? If it's not crowded, it's okay, but when there are a lot of customers, both staff members seem overwhelmed, forgetting orders, making mistakes, and even getting annoyed when the phone rings. It's all visible and audible to the customers. We weren't directly affected today, but it was the worst we've seen. Asking customers to wait at a table that hasn't been cleaned yet is unacceptable. And they don't even clean it right away. This scene is not new here. They blame the full parking lot for making customers wait in their cars, but they don't go out to call them in. A regular-looking customer sat at a "reserved" table without permission, luckily the person waiting in the car noticed and came in before being seated. Overall, it's a restaurant I would recommend only if you make a reservation or go when it's not busy.

Last week I had the tempura tendon, so today I had the large shrimp tempura tendon♡ The shrimp in the tempura were bigger and had a crispy and juicy texture. The tendon came with 3 large shrimp tempura, pumpkin tempura, green pepper tempura, and mixed tempura, along with soba noodles and soba soup for only 1000 yen, which is a great deal. The soba noodles were smooth and shiny, and the broth was delicious. It was nice to have both soba dipping sauce and tempura dipping sauce. Thank you for the delicious meal♡ I will visit again.

Today, I decided to have some light soba instead of kamameshi since I am going out. I had the tempura soba, which came with 3 shrimp, green peppers, pumpkin, and kakiage. The soba noodles were smooth and shiny, with a good texture and delicious flavor. The soba broth was also tasty. The tempura was surprisingly crispy and delicious. I was happy that they provided tempura dipping sauce. Towards the end of the meal, they served soba-yu, which was also delicious. Thank you for the meal. Today, the staff in the restaurant were efficient in cleaning and disinfecting, so I felt safe and comfortable during my meal.

About a year ago, I took out a Makunouchi bento and since then, when I went to the restaurant, I was not exactly turned away but received vague responses. When I arrived at 11:45, there were no other guests which was good (laughs). I ordered the Kamameshi set meal. They said it would take some time, so I waited and waited! 30 minutes later, a delicious smell and various side dishes including sashimi were brought to me. The Kamameshi was piping hot! It had lots of mushrooms and large pieces of chicken, with crispy rice at the bottom. Also, the Kamameshi pot is made of material that is not sticky, making it easy to scoop into the bowl. Delicious! The sashimi was tender and easy to eat, with the squid and sweet shrimp being particularly tasty. The simmered dish was also delicious, as well as the miso soup. The fish and eggs were delicious too. "I want to come back for the Kamameshi again," my husband seemed satisfied as well. However, one thing that bothered me was that there was a table that had not been cleaned when we arrived, despite more staff members appearing before noon. It was only cleaned when the restaurant became full, but even then, the table was not disinfected or wiped down before the next customers were seated. Good service is not just about the food, but also about cleanliness and phone manners. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

We visited this restaurant for the first time with our family of three after seeing a flyer in the newspaper and an advertisement in a magazine. The parking lot was easy to find with a sign saying "Tokin Shokudo Parking," but when we arrived, the restaurant seemed closed with a sign saying they were still preparing. We called to confirm if they were open, but the response was brief and unenthusiastic. Inside, the restaurant looked clean and renovated, with acrylic dividers on the tables. We were seated at a table with dirty dishes, which were eventually cleared, but the table was not wiped down and we were not offered water or tea. The staff seemed inexperienced and the service was lacking. We ordered tempura bowls and they arrived quickly. The food was delicious, but the service and atmosphere were not great. We plan to return to try the soba next time. On our second visit on November 3rd, we ordered the tempura soba, which was delicious. The atmosphere had improved and the staff seemed more comfortable. However, we were concerned that the kitchen staff were not wearing masks in this day and age. We hope they will consider wearing masks for safety.

I visited "Tokin Shokudo" that I saw in the local newspaper a while ago. It is a restaurant opened by a former head chef of a Japanese restaurant at the Muroran Prince Hotel in a residential area. I went there solo on a Saturday afternoon on July 31st. It was only about 5 kilometers and 10 minutes from my workplace. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant, and since it is located in a residential house, there is no curtain at the entrance, which made me wonder if this was the right place. However, I went in and ordered the tempura soba for 600 yen that I had been eyeing from the photos online. The online photos showed the tempura already on top of the soba, but in reality, the freshly fried tempura and soba are served separately on different plates. I enjoyed dipping the tempura in the soba broth and eating it. The tempura included 2 shrimps, 2 squids, lotus root, burdock, and eggplant. The soba had a refined and elegant taste, as one would expect from a Japanese dining establishment in a hotel. And all of this for just 600 yen, making it a great value for money! I definitely plan to visit again in the future.

Former head chef of Muroran Prince Ryokan Mizuki reopened after a 3-year break. The service staff may need some improvement, but it should get better gradually. No problem if it caters to the local elderly residents haha. The chef's older brother emphasizes the hand-made feel of Horokanai soba by using thicker noodles, and it tastes delicious. The tempura bowl, pork cutlet bowl, curry, etc., are all authentic and will become a popular dining spot in the area. Congratulations on the opening! The Soba Feast for 700 yen was delicious! Today I had a delicious kamameshi set meal with mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and chicken. It's been a while since I had kamameshi, and it was just as tasty as always. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance for kamameshi set meals to reduce the waiting time. Thank you for the meal!

At this price, the tempura and soba lunch set is definitely worth it. Personally, I was very satisfied with the taste of the tempura sauce and miso soup. I have high expectations for the other menu items as well!

The warm udon, soba, and kamameshi were not available for takeout, so I chose the makunouchi instead. When I arrived at the restaurant, I could smell the delicious broth. They had kamameshi and tempura soba lined up. I definitely want to dine in next time! The sashimi (sweet shrimp, squid, salmon), seaweed vinegar, simmered dish, tamagoyaki, and tempura (shrimp, shiitake mushroom, green pepper, eggplant) were all delicious.
