In the middle (or rather adjacent) of Nishi-Kujo's Eagle, there are many places where you can eat without going inside, but since I didn't know where to find such a place, I ended up going inside. It had been decades since I last entered a pachinko parlor... The place was smoky, noisy, and the seats were small and uncomfortable, which is why I quit in the first place. Anyway, I finally found the restaurant I was looking for after going outside. I sat down and looked at the menu for the first time. It said "Recommended Nanban and Oyster Sauce Chicken," so I chose the latter. When I told the lady, she said, "Okay, buy a meal ticket." Oh, right, I found it near the door. I bought the ticket, got a number tag, and sat by the window. The weather was nice. The customers were mostly pachinko players, a lot of gals and guys. Anyway, after a while of waiting, my "Number 34 - Oyster Sauce Chicken Set" finally arrived. It looked quite substantial, with a whole chicken leg deep-fried in a Chinese style. The portion was good, maybe due to the "Rice Piling Plan"? The rice was served in a cute, manga-style mound in the bowl, and it came with miso soup and pickles. The chicken was hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The amount of vegetables laid out was also quite generous. I wished there was mayonnaise, though. I enjoyed the meal by adding pepper or dipping in sauce. The rice, however, seemed never-ending, packed tightly in the bowl. Maybe it was a sign of the lady's affection. It felt like she was saying, "Eat this, then go gamble and good luck." I just went home afterward. It's nice to have fancy food like oyster sauce chicken once in a while!
