There is a parking lot across the road, and next to it there is another ramen shop's parking lot. Be careful not to park in the wrong one. I accidentally parked in the wrong one. When I arrived, there were 4 customers already there. I sat at the counter since I was alone. I ordered the thinly sliced meat yakisoba for 950 yen. It seems like the popular choice among customers is the chashu ramen. The yakisoba I ordered looked lighter in color compared to what I usually eat. It also seemed to have less meat. The dish had less salt, but the taste itself was quite sophisticated. I wonder if the chef trained at a famous restaurant. I might try the chashu ramen next time.

It's been a while since I visited, and it seems like the menu prices have gone up across the board. Today, I ordered the pork yakisoba for 950 yen. It took about 10 minutes for it to be served. The yakisoba noodles were soft. The flavor of the sauce was good. If it was priced at 800 yen, I would be satisfied. The service was indifferent, so I'll deduct a few stars.

I'm also interested in the Gomoku Ramen, but when I look at other people's reviews, I can't help but choose the Tonkotsu Ramen haha. I ordered the Tonkotsu Negi Chashu Shoyu (1050 yen) and it was as expected - a creamy tonkotsu soup that is addictively delicious! The appearance is beautiful, but the taste is surprisingly exquisite, going above and beyond expectations. The noodles are a translucent yellow, chewy type. They are delicious, but the soup is so good that you won't really care about the noodles haha. The chashu is so tender that it falls apart when picked up with chopsticks! The crunchy texture of the green onions also adds a fantastic accent. It's amazing how such a high-quality bowl of ramen isn't labeled as recommended or the face of the restaurant on the menu... it's kind of strange but impressive. That's the kind of place it is!

Suiren 2022.09.19 Today, what I can do is to at least support the food and beverage industry while being cautious enough. Let's all work together! I saw a post from a dog friend and got inspired to visit "China Garden Suiren" after a long time. The location is along Teinan-dori in Obihiro, right near Ayumian. The exterior is a modern two-story house with yellow walls. The interior is cozy, with currently 6 seats at the L-shaped counter, 2 small raised tables for 2 people, 1 table for 4 people, and 1 table for 6 people. Suiren has also raised their prices. The chef, with a Chinese-style low cooking hat, works efficiently in the kitchen. I ordered the Tonkotsu Negi Chashu (salt) for 1,050 yen (tax included) and the Crab Fried Rice for 1,000 yen (tax included). It arrived in about 6 minutes. The toppings included thick slices of pink pork belly chashu, plenty of white leeks, and medium-thick curly noodles. The chashu was soft and flavorful, and the rich pork bone soup was delicious without any unpleasant smell. The Crab Fried Rice had a generous amount of crab and a great umami flavor, with the rice nicely separated. Personally, I prefer the Crab Fried Rice at another restaurant. I will come back to try the Ramen Mapo Tofu next time. Thank you for the meal. Suiren Opening hours: 11:30-15:00 (LO 14:30), 17:00-20:30 (LO 20:00) Closed on Mondays (open on holidays)

My partner had miso ramen and I had fried rice. I also wanted to order dumplings but they were unavailable. The service here is always the same, I don't like it. The miso ramen was good, with a pork-based soup. The chashu was delicious. The fried rice was just average. Maybe it's better to come here for the chashu rather than the fried rice.

I was recommended to come to a ramen shop by a senior at work and I was able to find it on the opposite side of the parking lot. It was around 12:30 on a weekday and I easily found a parking spot. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering! I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu chashu men. The chashu was very tender and there were 4 slices. The noodles were a bit firm, more like fresh noodles. The green onions were on the smaller side compared to other places. The soup was creamy but surprisingly light. Personally, I felt that the soup and noodles didn't blend together well. Thank you for the meal.

Shrimp Ankake Yakisoba for 900 yen has a seafood sauce with a strong salty flavor. The noodles are crispy from being fried. Miso Char Siu Ramen for 950 yen has a gentle miso soup with tender rolled pork belly. It's not spicy, suitable for children too. Five-Ingredient Fried Rice for 900 yen + 100 yen for extra serving. It's not the usual fried rice, but a five-ingredient one with shrimp. It was moist, I prefer drier fried rice. The restaurant was crowded, maybe I'll try the salt tonkotsu next time.

Suiren 2022.02.14 What I can do now is to cooperate with food and beverage establishments while paying enough attention. Let's all support each other with enthusiasm! Today, I visited a ramen shop that I like, "China Garden Suiren," located along Teinan Street in Obihiro, near Yu-men. The exterior is a modern two-story building with a yellow wall on the first floor. Inside, there is an L-shaped counter with 7 seats and 4 tables on a raised platform. I hesitated between fried rice and mapo tofu rice, but since I had fried rice and dumplings yesterday, I reluctantly resisted my favorite fried rice (laughs). The owner, who looks like a skilled craftsman in the kitchen, wears a Chinese-style low chef's hat. The rhythmic sound of cutting vegetables, the pleasant smell of garlic, and the atmosphere are great! I ordered the Tonkotsu Negi Chashu (salt) for 950 yen (tax included) and Mapo Tofu Rice for 800 yen (tax included). In about 7 minutes, the dishes arrived. The toppings include thick slices of pink-colored pork belly chashu, plenty of white leeks, and medium-thick curly noodles. The chashu is so tender that it crumbles when picked up with chopsticks. The soup is a quite rich tonkotsu broth that becomes cloudy, with no unpleasant smell, and is very delicious. The mapo tofu rice is filled with plenty of tofu and meat, and since I prefer silky tofu, it is delicious. Next time, I will come for the fried rice. Thank you for the meal! When I looked just now, there was a bird eating soy sauce??? When I saw that picture, my order changed, hmm... I have to look carefully, Suiren in Obihiro. I'm alone. This week, my wife decided not to work, so I won't be active on Saturday, so I decided to walk on Sunday for the first time in a while. I had a strange dream on Saturday and woke up before 3 o'clock, feeling like I couldn't sleep, so I decided to go out early, heading to Obihiro. So, I'm going to eat ramen. I know that soy sauce is not good in Obihiro, but I ordered soy sauce first even though I know it's a mistake. It cost 750 yen. There were two customers before me. There is an L-shaped counter and a small raised area. The couple who run the place might be young. I can only hear their voices, but they seem young. I can hear a TV, but I can't see it. I don't know where it is located. It took about 7 minutes. Soy sauce was a big mistake. Appearance-wise, it looked like Maruchan Double Ramen. Even though it's not the same, the components are similar. I don't know what that means. The menma is seasoned, but not too strong. The soup, which is not very flavorful, is hard to identify, but the naruto, green onions, and chashu were good. The chashu was tender and delicious. The noodles, though slightly off, were not lacking in flavor, so I have no complaints. It's the epitome of Obihiro ramen. The soup is lacking, but it's not as bad as others, so I finished it. The husband's voice is loud, but the wife's... not so much. I wonder if Obihiro will send any more challengers soon. Will they close the comment section as well as the message board? Can they really do that?

I went for lunch in Obihiro. I decided to visit the restaurant Suiren, which I had saved as "want to go". The restaurant is a bit off the center, with only 6 counter seats and 2 small raised seating areas. When I arrived just before 12 o'clock, there were only 3 customers at the counter, but more people started coming in as I finished my meal. I can't remember how I found out about this ramen shop, but I think it might have been from a follower on Tabelog. I wanted to try their tonkotsu ramen because the soup looked delicious. I ordered the tonkotsu (salt) ramen for 800 yen. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. The soup was creamy and delicious, with just the right amount of saltiness and a hint of sweetness. It was so good that I almost drank it all up. The noodles were a bit firm, and the surprise was the char siu, which was incredibly tender and almost melted in my mouth. I was really impressed by the soup, but the ramen overall was amazing. The owner and the staff, who I think was the owner's wife, had a calm and welcoming demeanor. The atmosphere felt more like a cozy restaurant than a typical ramen shop. I would love to try other dishes there in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for the first time. Suiren was the name of the place. I arrived at 2:20 PM. There were 2 groups of customers with 3 people in total already inside, and 1 person came in after me. The restaurant had a counter with 7 seats in an L-shape, and 4 tables on a raised platform. I could see the owner, who appeared to be the chef, wearing a Chinese-style low chef's hat. I could hear the rhythmic sound of vegetables being chopped. The smell of pork bone broth did not bother me at all. Of course, for my first time there, I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with extra green onions and chashu in salt flavor. It arrived in about 5-6 minutes. The soup was a creamy white Tonkotsu broth with a thick slice of pinkish chashu on top, garnished with finely chopped green onions. The chashu was so tender that it fell apart easily when picked up with chopsticks. The soup was rich and flavorful, without the strong pork bone smell, very mild and delicious. I also noticed that they had other Chinese dishes on the menu, like fried rice and other Chinese dishes that looked appetizing. I wish I had discovered this place sooner. As I finished my meal, they were already closing the curtains. I guess I made it just in time. Next time, I will come back to try their Chinese menu. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went to Suiren for the second time! Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed it was quiet with only one staff member. I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 700 yen. The menu also offered rice dishes like fried rice, Chinese rice bowl, and ankake yakisoba. The atmosphere inside was very calm, with only one other group of customers - a mother and child who ordered ankake yakisoba. The ramen arrived in about 5-6 minutes. The noodles had a strong wheat flavor that I found a bit off-putting. They were medium-thick curly noodles cooked firm. The soup was light and clear, with a mild soy sauce flavor and a hint of dashi. When I tried just the soup, it was good, but the strong noodle taste threw off the balance. The chashu was tasty and tender, falling apart easily when picked up with chopsticks. Overall, the ramen had a thin appearance but tasted like a traditional, authentic ramen. If I come back, I might try the ankake yakisoba next time. Thank you, Suiren, for the meal!

【Ankake】Festival currently underway. Finally tried out a restaurant I've been curious about, Suiren. From the table menu, I ordered the pork sliced yakisoba, large portion. Yes, I like this. The noodles are cooked just right, not clumped together. Simple ingredients of cabbage, pork, and garnished with mizuna. The sauce is gentle in flavor. I finished it in no time. It was so delicious that I wish I could have eaten more.

I have been extremely busy lately, but I am doing well. Despite various things happening, including earthquakes, I am just trying to go through each day without any major issues. Ramen season is approaching, and I love ramen all year round. In this area, there are many ramen shops like Yumen, Gankutsu-oh, and Ajisen Ramen. One of my favorites is Suiren, a cozy little place run by a couple. Their must-try dish is the Tonkotsu Negi Chashu Shio Ramen, which has deliciously tender chashu and plenty of green onions. The curly noodles are always a hit. Another great option is the Moyashi topping ramen, with a flavorful soy sauce broth. The Ebi Yakisoba and Buta Niku Yakisoba are also delicious choices. I recommend trying the Chashu ramen for a satisfying meal. Let's keep pushing forward and enjoying the little things like a comforting bowl of ramen from Suiren.
