I'm looking for a cafe that opens early in the morning on holidays and rides a bicycle around the city. I heard that "Coffee House Shitetsu Line" opens at 9 am, so I came here. The place seems to have been in business for over 30 years. The name of the cafe may be inspired by a hit song from the Showa era. The door opened to a surprisingly spacious interior, with a counter for 6 seats, 2 tables for 2 people, and 3 tables for 4 people. The elderly couple who seemed to be regular customers were enjoying their time. I ordered the "Morning Set 580" (limited from 9 to 10 am) and waited for about 8 minutes. The plate arrived with toast, scrambled eggs, cabbage, tomato, and cucumber, along with a strawberry sundae on the side. The toast was nicely toasted with a generous amount of butter. The scrambled eggs had a strong flavor, so I didn't need to add any seasoning. The salad dressing was a Southern Island flavor, and the coffee was served at a good temperature with a mild bitterness. The unexpected strawberry sundae was a nice touch. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Around 15:00, I suddenly felt a little hungry and was lured in by the electronic sign for a light meal. I had been curious about this shop for a while as I passed by it before. The menu was just as everyone has posted. The menu board was still being used and there were hardly any price increases, which actually surprised me. The taste was like something a mother would make. I like the food at cafes, so I decided to take the plunge and go in, and it was the right choice. After the meal, I ordered an iced coffee and the total came to 1200 yen. Smoking is allowed in all seats. The regular customers all seemed to be smokers. There was a fairly large air purifier, so the smell of smoke wasn't too bothersome.

I visited a restaurant near Nishisen Rokujo Station with a name that reminded me of Goro Noguchi, a private railway line. I originally planned to have dinner but ended up just ordering coffee because I got caught up chatting with the regular customers. The coffee was served in about 5 minutes and had a typical Showa era coffee shop taste. It felt a bit like being in a different place. The coffee seemed like it had been brewed in advance, but it had a decent aroma with a bit of acidity and bitterness. I still had some time left, but I decided to head home for the day. Thank you for the meal!

Coffee House Watashitetsu Line is not a railway enthusiast's shop. The interior had some railway elements, but it felt like a retro coffee shop that evoked the Showa era. Many elderly regulars gathered, engaging in everyday conversations without talking about trains. It was unclear if railway enthusiasts also gathered occasionally, but the impression I got was that the moment I entered the shop, it felt smoky and poorly ventilated, like a coffee shop with a high smoking rate... I found it difficult to stay for a long time. I hesitated between ordering the local railway bento or light meals from the menu, but the strong smokiness made me give up on having a meal. I ended up ordering a hot coffee from the menu. The coffee had a tangy taste, and it didn't seem to have any special emphasis on quality. The price was cheap, but overall, I didn't find it very appealing. ☆☆☆ Next episode preview ☆☆☆ I want to have a meal, but I don't think I'll eat or drink to the point of being smoked out.

I was passing by and was intrigued by the retro atmosphere of this classic coffee shop, as described in the reviews. I decided to check it out and was welcomed by the nostalgic decor inside, with vintage train photos, a train station sign, and game boards serving as tables. The background music of "La Vie en Rose" played softly in the background, adding to the charm. The friendly master behind the counter greeted me, and there was no smell of smoke, making it a comfortable place to dine. I sat at a table towards the back, enjoying the subtle sounds of the kitchen in action. The master brought out a generous plate of food, confirming the reviews' claims of sizable portions. I ordered the "Special Yakisoba" and was impressed by the abundance of cabbage salad and the flavorful yakisoba. The fried egg was perfectly cooked, adding a nice touch to the dish. The sesame salt onigiri was a great accompaniment, complementing the rich flavors of the noodles. After finishing my meal, I indulged in a cup of coffee, which was strong but refreshing. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal and would recommend adding the "Special" label to the menu due to the quality and quantity of the dishes.

Welcome! ┌¬o* * * 2013.08 ↓Located a short walk from the 6th West Line in the Yamabana district of Chuo Ward, there is a cafe with a name that might catch the interest of train enthusiasts. |o| °_°)ノ|Yugachon: "Welcome~" and a warm-hearted lady appears. The long, narrow interior of the cafe has a rounded ceiling, giving the feeling of being inside an old train. The walls are lined with plates, and although the chairs are typical of a cafe, there is a table near the entrance and a game console in the back. Tom, who can fall asleep anywhere, is already dozing off! ┌¬o Tom: "I can sleep anywhere!" The menu at this cafe is intriguing, especially the special which seems to consist of noodles and a meal. It might appeal to noodle lovers! Piko-chan! Are you up for some Napoli? From the kitchen, a cry for help can be heard, "Stir me up!" The cry is long again! The special yakisoba arrives, topped with a fried egg, cabbage on the side, two onigiri, and miso soup. The portion size is quite large, almost like a kids' special lunch. For adults, it could be considered a yakisoba set meal. The yakisoba is generously topped with ingredients and has a mild flavor, not too salty like powdered sauce. When you break the egg, it's perfectly half-cooked. The raw egg goes with soy sauce, warm egg with noodle soup, and fried egg with sauce. The noodles are so satisfying, you can't stop eating them. The cabbage and onigiri are also generous in portion. The miso soup is packed with seaweed. The visual presentation is special, and so is the satisfaction for your stomach. I love it! If this came with a dessert, it would be perfect. The special here seems to mean everything is extra large. Thank you for the delicious meal in this train-like cafe! After finishing the meal, I had to wait for a long time for the lady who had been on the phone the whole time to take my payment. (I didn't want to interrupt her conversation)

Tomoko invited me, so I came to the restaurant. The menu offers various options such as morning sets, daily bento boxes, curry, and spaghetti. Today, I ordered the Special Napolitan for 780 yen as per Tomoko's recommendation. The "special" part includes two onigiri, a fried egg, salad, and miso soup added to the regular 680 yen Napolitan. It's a great deal for just 100 yen more. The salad consisted of cabbage, cucumber, and tomato. The black sesame onigiri was quite large. The main dish, Napolitan, had a rich ketchup flavor, different from what I usually seek, but it was delicious! The ingredients included pork, shiitake mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. I also enjoyed adding Tabasco and powdered cheese for extra flavor. Breaking the fried egg and mixing the yolk into the noodles was another tasty touch. The miso soup was full of wakame seaweed. When I told the owner how delicious the meal was, he just laughed when I asked if there was a secret ingredient. Perhaps it's the umami from the shiitake mushrooms and pork. It was a hearty and satisfying special menu.
