When it comes to standing soba in Sapporo, many people think of "Hinode Soba." Recently, "Hamanasu" on the way towards the Toho Line from Odori is also popular, but for me, the number one standing soba in Sapporo is "Nagara" located in the basement of the Showa Building directly connected to exit 1 of Odori Station. When I used to work nearby, I would visit once a week. In a lunch battleground with ramen shops, sushi restaurants, and udon shops, if I'm unsure where to eat around here, I head towards this area or near Tanuki Koji 7-chome or near HUG Eat. Today, I visited "Nagara" after a long time and as usual, I ordered the most popular vegetable tempura soba from the older sister. Payment is made in advance, oh? The price was supposed to be 400 yen, but it's now 450 yen. When I mentioned to the older sister, "Oh, the price has gone up," she said, "No, it hasn't." It seems that it has been 450 yen since the older sister started working there. Even when the consumption tax increased to 10%, this shop did not raise prices, but in times of rising food and labor costs, it can't be helped. I hope they will do their best. (The special for 500 yen seems to be unchanged in price. It might be a good deal.) I didn't order it today, but the rice balls for 100 yen (tax included) also have a salty taste and are delicious when eaten together. Side dishes such as maitake tempura and inari sushi (2 pieces for 100 yen) are also attractive. Warm up the bowl with hot water, boil the large buckwheat noodles, pour hot broth over them, top with vegetable tempura and green onions, and in about a minute, it's ready to eat. Sprinkle some shichimi pepper and let's eat! The soba noodles are slightly thick and soft, and the slightly sweet broth goes well with them, making it a type of standing soba that I like. I enjoy dipping the vegetable tempura in the broth. Oh, delicious! The combination of vegetable tempura and soba broth elevates the taste to a higher level. It's quite filling, but the deliciousness makes it easy to finish, even the day after drinking. I almost finished all the broth. Ah, it was delicious, thank you for the meal! I wouldn't say I visit for this specifically, but if I'm in the area, it's one of the options to consider. A previous reviewer mentioned that the udon is delicious, so I would like to try the udon or curry udon, but I wonder if I'll end up ordering the vegetable tempura soba again. Udon is available on the first floor of the same building at "Udon no Soumaya."
