I passed by the store several times before, but this was my first visit. I was surprised to find that the parking lot was only in front of the store, not beside it. I was glad I asked. I was unsure of what to order, but I decided to try the crab fried rice as I was craving it. The fried rice was fluffy and delicious, just like I remembered.

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease by the government. There is no cure for my disease yet, but I can temporarily improve my symptoms by receiving "blood products" continuously for 5 days. Last year, I was hospitalized 5 times for treatment related to my rare disease. I was admitted for the third time this year on June 12th, but I was discharged 28 days later. Your supportive comments are always a source of encouragement for me during my hospital stays, and I am truly grateful. Moving forward, thank you for your continued support. In August 2022, I was discharged for the third time this year. Due to my poor health, my responses to comments may be delayed. I will respond as soon as my health improves, and I appreciate your understanding. I plan to focus on reviewing past posts that have not been reviewed. I will limit new visits based on my health condition. "Karyu Restaurant" is a local Chinese restaurant run by authentic Chinese people. I had been curious about this restaurant after seeing a review by one of my followers. So, I visited for lunch with my usual companion. The restaurant is located in the Kitashinkawa area of Sapporo, near JR Shinkawa Station. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. I visited on a weekday just before 2 p.m. There is a casual Chinese atmosphere in the restaurant, and it feels like there is no air conditioning. There were 4 customers before us and 3 customers after us. We were seated at a table and served cold jasmine tea immediately. The lunch set menu offers 18 options ranging from 700 yen to 950 yen. There are two daily lunch sets available, both priced at 750 yen. Since the restaurant was hot inside, we decided to avoid ordering hot ramen dishes. Both of us ordered the "Daily Lunch - Ankake Yakisoba Set," which seemed like a good deal. Our two "Daily Lunch" dishes arrived after a 14-minute wait. The "Daily Lunch - Ankake Yakisoba Set" included: Ankake Yakisoba Noodles: Probably made with Nishiyama thin noodles, nicely charred. Mildly seasoned with low-salt salt base Ingredients: Shrimp, pork, wood ear mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, carrots, snow peas Salad: Lettuce, watercress, purple cabbage, carrots, dressing Soup: Egg drop soup Pickles: Tsukemono Low-salt dessert: Firm almond jelly Price: 750 yen (tax included) The "Daily Lunch - Ankake Yakisoba Set" was a very generous lunch set. The 750 yen price was very reasonable for a daily set. The way the noodles were cooked in the "Ankake Yakisoba" was good. The taste was a rare low-salt and gentle seasoning typical of a local Chinese restaurant. It clearly distinguishes itself from hotel Chinese cuisine. The main "Ankake Yakisoba" was substantial, and it also came with a salad, soup, pickles, and almond jelly. It's a perfect lunch set for young people or those with a big appetite. Personally, I'm not a fan of almond jelly, but the cold jasmine tea was a nice touch. Next time, I might try the "Lunch Set - Ebi Chili Teishoku for 950 yen." Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited around 12 o'clock on a weekday. The parking lot was usually quite crowded, but it was empty this day, so lucky. I ordered the sweet and sour pork for 750 yen. It's cheap, isn't it? The cabbage was a bit tough. I wonder if there aren't good cabbages available this season. The taste was decent, and it was delicious, with a flavor that goes well with rice.

It was delicious!! I tried mapo tofu, ankake yakisoba, crab fried rice, grilled dumplings, and boiled dumplings. They all seemed adjusted to suit the taste of Japanese people, making them easy to eat even for women. As a side note, I used to only go to Tamurin Sakaba for Chinese food, but recently I have explored about three other Chinese restaurants! They were all delicious. However, one thing I noticed when going to Chinese restaurants other than Tamurin Sakaba is that there is only one chef, so if it's busy, it can be slow! It can't be helped!

One weekend, I visited a Chinese restaurant located at 13-29-13 Kita 29 Nishi, in Kita Ward. The restaurant had parking space for about 2 cars in front of the shop. The interior was a typical Chinese style with many tables. There was some Japanese music playing softly in the background. I decided to try the "Mapo Tofu Set Meal (750 yen)" from the menu. The dish was served on a large plate with a generous portion. The mapo tofu had a good flavor with a hint of Sichuan peppercorns and a mild level of spiciness. The tofu was cooked well with minced meat and chives. The meal also came with a radish salad, authentic kimchi, light egg soup, and almond jelly for dessert. The rice portion was small, but I could ask for a refill for an additional 200 yen. Overall, the meal was satisfying, but next time I would choose a dish that can be enjoyed without needing a rice refill. The total cost came to 950 yen, which I felt was a bit high for a lunch set. I hope they consider offering a larger portion for the same price in the future. Thank you for the meal.

In January 2019, I visited a casual Chinese restaurant in a town and usually end up ordering dishes with "sauce toppings" like "Cantonese noodles" or "an-kake yakisoba". It seems like my family prefers the "set meal" type of dishes. We usually share the food, but sometimes our preferences differ, and it doesn't make sense to share in a Chinese restaurant. This time, I tried a Chinese restaurant near a delicious ginger ramen shop in Nishikawa that I had been curious about. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious, but not many customers even during peak hours. I ordered the "an-kake yakisoba" for 700 yen from the lunch menu. It came with salad, zasai pickles, egg soup, and almond jelly as a set, which was quite affordable. The an-kake yakisoba had cabbage, pork belly, carrots, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, shrimp, and wood ear mushrooms. The sauce was well-balanced, and the noodles were stir-fried nicely. The almond jelly was not my favorite type, but overall, it was well put together. My family chose the "mapo tofu" for 700 yen. The mapo tofu was on the sweeter side and lacked spiciness. My family doesn't like spicy food, so they could eat it, but I personally prefer spicier and numbing mapo tofu. Also, the quality of the rice, which is common in Chinese restaurants, was not great. This may affect the enjoyment of set meals. The menu seems to offer a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes, but for lunch, this was what I expected. Chinese restaurants from the mainland can be hit or miss, in my opinion.

For some reason, I ended up at a Chinese restaurant on this day. I was in the mood for soba, but the pork bowl shop I was curious about was already gone, so I ended up driving a bit further. Despite being in a soba mood, I made the masochistic choice of not choosing the menu I really wanted once I entered the Haryu restaurant. I looked at the lunch menu, but instead of the daily B lunch advertised outside, I ordered the Chinese rice. In the kitchen, there was a mix of what seemed like languages from the mainland. After waiting for about 6 minutes, the Chinese rice set meal was brought to me. The sauce that would normally go well with ankake yakisoba was placed on top of the rice since it was Chinese rice. When I tried it, I still felt that it would go better with yakisoba than with rice. The freshly made sauce was quite hot. I ate the main vegetable, shredded daikon, while waiting for it to cool down a bit, but it was still hot even after finishing the vegetables. I mixed the sauce a little to cool it down. As I continued to eat the Chinese rice, I started to feel a bit tired of the somewhat lacking flavor, but I tried adding some pickled mustard greens in the middle and ate it with a little rice left. The small shrimp in the Chinese rice was firm and relatively delicious. The vegetables were well-prepared with a good texture, and the mild saltiness of the sauce was better than being too salty, but I felt that it would go better with yakisoba. After finishing the rice, I realized that I hadn't added vinegar or chili oil, so I added a little to the remaining sauce and surprisingly... the taste changed significantly, making it easier to eat. The soup had a gentle flavor similar to the Chinese rice. I didn't feel the typical greasiness of a Chinese rice restaurant in the store, and I thought the cleanliness was well maintained. The service was relatively good. Overall rating: 3.1 Taste: 3.1 Service: 3.3 Ambiance: 3.2 Value for money: 3.3 Drink: - Address: 1-1-1, Kita29-jonishi, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido Haryu Restaurant ☆☆☆ Next episode preview ☆☆☆ The strange person's true identity was myself ( ̄◇ ̄;) Gaaan!

I came to this restaurant to try the Ankake Yakisoba. There is parking space for three cars in front of the store. Today's special was Ankake Yakisoba for 700 yen. It came with salad, soup, pickled vegetables, and almond jelly. The Ankake Yakisoba had a white cabbage base with a mix of pork, shrimp, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and green beans. The soy sauce-based flavor was light and not too sweet. The noodles were well stir-fried. The soup had a thick texture with egg and seaweed. The salad was made of cabbage and lettuce with a soy-based dressing with a hint of acidity. The pickled vegetables were crunchy and satisfying. The almond jelly was a small refreshing touch. The portion size was satisfying.

Located in Kitaku Shinkawa, this Chinese restaurant is not very noticeable in a residential area. I went there for lunch. The lunch hours are from 11:30 onwards and they offer 16 lunch menu options, including a daily special set meal. On the day I visited, the special was Five-Ingredient Fried Rice for 580 yen and Sweet and Sour Pork for 650 yen. Around noon, there were only three groups of customers, including us. The fried rice was fluffy and came with salad, pickled vegetables, soup, and almond jelly for dessert. The Sweet and Sour Pork also came with salad, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and a generous portion of meat. The price of 650 yen was quite reasonable for the quality. They had child-friendly seats and dishes available. The seating was all at regular tables, no sunken kotatsu tables. The staff would occasionally glance over, so even though the place was not crowded, it didn't feel like a relaxed atmosphere for post-meal conversation. There are about 3 parking spaces in front of the restaurant and more at the back. On the way back, we also stopped by the nearby bakery called Tonton.

Welcome! This is a small Chinese restaurant in Shinkawa, Kita-ku, with a casual facade that gives off a simple vibe. A friendly lady guided us to a table for four. The lunch menu mainly consisted of set meals, with the daily special being mapo tofu don. The kitchen sounds and the lady's voice provided a pleasant background music. The sound of soup being poured in was satisfying. The sight of a hot pot poster on the wall made me crave it. The yakisoba set meal arrived with egg soup, salad, pickles, and almond jelly for dessert. The sauce was thick with a rich soy flavor, and the ingredients were well-cooked with a variety of textures. The noodles were chewy with a nice charred flavor. The salad had a sesame dressing, and the soup was thick and creamy with beaten eggs. The pickles provided a crunchy contrast. The lack of customers during lunchtime was a bit lonely, but I believe this place must be popular in the evenings. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

It's already the third week of March, but Sapporo is experiencing a sudden return to winter this weekend. It feels like winter has come back with a vengeance, and it makes me wonder if spring will ever arrive this year. Despite the unexpected cold weather, I visited Kahoryu Hanten near Shinkawa Station on the Sassonuma Line today. The daily special was a mapo tofu set for 580 yen, so I decided to give it a try. The parking lot was covered in snow, but I managed to find a spot in front of the restaurant. The waitress, who seemed to be from another country, served me a warm cup of jasmine tea, which was a nice touch. The restaurant was playing a song with female vocals, but I couldn't quite make out the singer. The place was busy with three customers ahead of me and two behind me, all ordering the mapo tofu set. When my set arrived, I found it to be delicious, with just the right amount of spiciness. The portion of rice was a bit small, but overall, it was a satisfying meal. The mapo tofu set usually costs 650 yen when not part of the daily special, but the other lunch menu items ranged from 650 to 800 yen, which I found to be a great value compared to chain Chinese restaurants. I would love to come back and try the shrimp chili set next time.

I arrived at the restaurant a little after 2 o'clock. There were no customers. I looked at the menu and ordered the lunch set of dan dan noodles. I was served hot jasmine tea while waiting. The dan dan noodles set came with a small bowl of rice and pickled vegetables, which made me happy. The soup had a sesame aroma but was not very spicy, and the minced meat flavor was mild. Overall, the dan dan noodles were light and refreshing. The chef was having a late lunch at a table in the back, although I couldn't see him behind the curtain. After a loud noise, I regained my composure and finished my meal with more jasmine tea before leaving the restaurant.

I visited a Chinese restaurant that my companion admires, but unfortunately it was closed. From October 8th, it has been welcoming customers as "Karyu Han Ten." The menu changes daily, and we arrived around 2 pm to find the place empty. We were greeted by a smiling staff member who took our order for the lunch menu. My companion ordered the Dan Dan noodles set, while I ordered the fried chicken set. The fried chicken pieces were small, and when I took a bite, I immediately felt the urge to spit it out - it was curry flavored. I'm sorry, but I had to give up on it. As we started eating, we heard slurping sounds from the back of the restaurant, followed by a loud burp echoing through the empty space. It was clear that it was one of the staff members, and I was defeated. Lesson learned - always confirm if something is curry flavored when ordering at other restaurants.

It had been a while since my last visit, and since it was before payday, I was looking for a wallet-friendly restaurant. I managed to find a spot to park in a full parking lot by the restaurant, as the neighboring building was gone and I was allowed to park there. However, to my surprise, the prices had gone up... Previously, the daily specials were around 650 yen for A lunch and 580 yen for B lunch, but now the prices had increased. On this day, the A lunch was stir-fried eggs and pork for 750 yen, and the B lunch was rice with a thick sauce for 680 yen. Being a contrarian, I opted for the fried chicken lunch for 700 yen. It came with salad, pickled vegetables, egg drop soup, a small serving of 8 mini fried chicken pieces, and a mini fruit almond jelly. The fried chicken here has a subtle curry flavor, which some people may not like, but I enjoy the underlying taste. Honestly, I don't necessarily think the curry is necessary, but it was okay on this day. Thanks to my mood, I finished the rice in the bowl. My companion's stir-fried dish from the A lunch had a good portion size and was delicious, with just the right amount of salt. The 100 yen price increase was disappointing, but the convenience is good, so I might visit again...
