The second beer bar in Ryogoku that I wanted to visit didn’t work out, but I walked from Popeye. This place opens at 5 PM. A stroll through the old Yasuda Garden and Yokozuna Town Park fits perfectly. Apparently, it had just opened less than a week ago. There’s a counter, but you can also sit and drink on barrels. You choose your beer for the day using a QR code and then order verbally. They have 6 taps, including a West Coast from Shizuoka and the DD4D I visited recently. I saw a new beer from Kanagawa called Granding Brewing, and thought it was an extremely bitter IBU 200, but it turned out to be quite refreshing. A half-pint costs ¥1,290, and most beers are over ¥1,000 for a half-pint. Since they also serve at night, I just had a quick drink of beer.

The bar has counter seating and some seats made from drums. As soon as you enter, there are cute characters on the wall near the entrance and by the restrooms. I asked for a fruity one, and it was selected for me (I forgot the price, but it was delicious!). The food is homemade by the owner and is really good. It's a common misconception that bars focusing on drinks only have mediocre food. The Spicy Ginger Pork and Black Pepper & Cheese Pasta are especially recommended. The owner and staff were friendly, and everyone, including solo customers, chatted together, making it a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back for more food!
