What stands out is the curry roux. It's hard to describe, but the blend of spices is exquisite with a rich flavor that will make you involuntarily exclaim. Taste is subjective, but this is a curry that I highly recommend trying at least once.

Our orders were: - Pork Cutlet Curry: 1,250 yen + Extra Rice: 100 yen - Beef Tendon Curry: 1,000 yen The food was served in about 15 minutes. Pork Cutlet Curry: The pork cutlet was delicious. The meat was tender, sweet, and crispy. The curry had a deep and spicy flavor. The extra rice seemed to be just more rice without much extra curry. The cutlet was tastier than the curry. Beef Tendon Curry: The curry itself was tasty, but it had a slight bitterness to it, maybe from the beef tendon. The beef tendon was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The spiciness was just right for my taste. There was more rice than curry in this dish. They asked us which dressing we wanted for the salad, but I can't remember which one we chose (laughs). The appearance is like curry from India or Southeast Asia. It looks authentic. Let's dig in. Oh, it's delicious. The spices are not too strong or too mild. It's a genuine curry. The deer meat has no gamey taste and has a nice texture. Despite being visibly fatty, it doesn't feel greasy. Eating it with rice, I momentarily thought about the calories, but let's forget about that. I would like to try other curries here. Maybe they change the spices. A friend wanted to go here, so we went on a drive to have lunch. I've been here before and remember it being delicious, so I wanted to confirm that by trying it again. I ordered the authentic Indian curry, the most popular Chicken Curry, with a spiciness level of 5. My friend ordered the same. The curry came with a side salad. The portion of rice was amazing and the rice itself was delicious! My friend couldn't finish all the rice. The curry was very spicy and hot, but also had a hint of sweetness that made it addictive. The chicken was very tender. I was sweating a lot from the spiciness, so I think it's best to come here with friends rather than alone. We also bought some Pork Jerky that the owner makes as a hobby. It cost 500 yen including tax. I tried it as a snack with beer, but the strong smoky smell was overwhelming and it tasted burnt and too hard. It wasn't to my liking, but maybe smoked food enthusiasts would enjoy it. Overall, I'll focus my review on the curry only.

I had always been curious about Akanko Town whenever I passed through for work, and today, I finally had the chance to visit. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before their 3:00 PM break, and there were no other customers, so I was able to enter smoothly. The interior of the lodge-like restaurant was clean and beautiful, with shining motorcycles that seemed to be the owner's hobby. I ordered the Chicken Curry, Seafood Curry, Smoked Chicken Leg, and Pork Jerky. The Chicken Curry, their most popular dish, was filled with chunks of tender chicken breast and onions cooked until soft. As soon as I took a bite, I felt the spiciness, just as described on the menu. It was not only spicy but also had various spices, sweetness, and was delicious. Eating the Chicken Curry made me sweat from the heat. The waitress kindly brought me a cold towel to wipe off the sweat, which was very thoughtful. The Seafood Curry had a seafood flavor throughout, and it was also very good. Some places serve Seafood Curry by topping it with seafood later, but this was the real deal. I also took out two types of smoked items, Pork Jerky and Chicken Leg, and as soon as I opened the bag, a pleasant smoky aroma filled the air. The Pork Jerky was tough with a strong chew, but the more you chew, the more flavor comes out, making it delicious. It might even be better than the beef jerky sold in supermarkets! As for the Chicken Leg, I prefer it roasted rather than smoked. The portion of rice was generous enough to satisfy even a man's appetite, and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. The menu is divided into "Spicy Curry (Indian Curry)" and "Familiar Curry (Roux Curry?)." The "Spicy Curry" is rated ★5 for spiciness. Ordered the "Venison Curry" (1200 yen) this time. ★3 rating. Arrived in about 15 minutes. Comes with salad, with curry and rice served separately. This is quite authentic Indian curry! It's comparable to curry shops run by people from India or Nepal. Tastes like butter chicken and is delicious! It's moderately spicy, suitable for those who like medium spiciness. If it was chicken curry (★5), it would have been too spicy... The venison is very tender, with no gamey taste. Other ingredients include small onions and tomatoes. The salad consists of cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce, with a dressing similar to shiso. Surprisingly, I was able to enjoy authentic Indian curry in an unexpected place. It's a bit pricey, but considering the quality, it's acceptable. It's far, so it's hard to come often, but if I have the chance, I would like to try the "Familiar Curry."

My friend got the beef tendon curry with extra spiciness. Both dishes arrived in about 20 minutes. The chicken curry had rice and curry separated. I took a bite of the curry and thought it wasn't spicy at first, but then the spiciness hit me later (°Д°) It's spicy!! But there's also a hint of sweetness. It's really spicy though. I was sweating a lot (^_^;) The chicken was very tender, and I also tried a bite of my friend's beef tendon which was also tender. Maybe because it was spicy or because I love rice, I finished the rice first and my friend had the leftover curry (^_^;) It was a delicious curry that was very spicy and seems like it could become addictive. After getting milk at Akkanbe, on my way back I decided to try the highly recommended spicy deer meat curry at a curry restaurant in Akanko town for a late lunch. "We're out of chicken curry..." said the owner, "How about keema...?" I noticed a note stuck on top of the keema curry option as well. So, I chose the deer meat curry. When it comes to game meat, I was worried about the unique gamey smell, but it seems like the meat was properly processed to remove any odor. It was lean, had a good texture, and was quite satisfying to eat! The deer meat curry had a spiciness level of ☆☆☆, but personally, I found it a bit lacking in heat. The spiciest option is the chicken curry with a level of ☆☆☆☆☆. By the way, the rice and salad come in separate dishes, and as mentioned in other reviews, the rice portion was quite generous.

Wait, there are no cucumbers in my colleague's salad. Oh, does he dislike cucumbers? Just like someone else I know (laughs). Truly a regular customer, they know his preferences well. The restaurant had a jazz music playing in the background, and the interior had a refreshing wooden theme. We ordered the chicken curry (★★★★★) and eggplant curry (★★). The chicken curry was spicy and oily, while the eggplant curry had a different spice profile and was delicious. The rice, curry, and salad were served separately, and the salad had a dressing with mayonnaise. The curry was spicy, but the flavors were rich and enjoyable. After finishing our meal, we were offered complimentary coffee. Overall, it was a delicious curry experience, and the hospitality of the owners made it even better.

The restaurant stands out with its yellow sign along the national highway, and the exterior gives off a simple residential vibe. I always felt a bit hesitant to go in, but when I finally did, I found a cozy interior with five four-person tables. The owner couple is very friendly, making it comfortable even for solo diners. There are motorcycles displayed inside, perhaps reflecting the owner's hobby. [About the Menu] The main menu consists of various curry options such as Chicken Curry, Lamb Curry, Keema Curry, Eggplant Curry, Spinach Curry, Pork Curry, Katsu Curry, and Seafood Curry. The homemade smoked chicken and pork jerky are also highly recommended. [Curry I Tried] Although I was curious about the Lamb Curry, I decided to go with the restaurant's most popular dish, the Chicken Curry. The curry was simple with plenty of onions, tomatoes, and chicken, in an Indian style. It was quite spicy but had a gentle and natural flavor that I really enjoyed. The portion of rice was generous, so I should have ordered extra curry sauce. The salad with a mild dressing was also delicious. I also bought some smoked chicken and pork jerky to enjoy as snacks with drinks at home. They were perfectly smoked, not too overpowering, and the pork jerky was surprisingly juicy with a great blend of wine and soy sauce flavors that paired well with beer. Although it's a bit far, I would love to try other curry options at this restaurant. I have a feeling I'll end up buying more smoked items every time I visit. This curry place is a hidden gem that I hope more people get to know and enjoy.
