I found this restaurant on Instagram and it's also close to my place, so I decided to walk there. There were a few customers already there during lunchtime on a weekday - one person at the counter and two at a table. The interior had six counter seats and one table for four. I ordered the pork udon with dipping sauce. It took a bit of time for the udon to be cooked after I placed my order (probably because they were making udon for the customers at the counter). The udon looked very fresh and delicious. When I tried dipping it in the sauce, I was shocked - it was extremely salty! It was so salty that I couldn't even drink the dipping sauce. The udon itself was tasty. It's a shame about the dipping sauce being too salty. I wish they would adjust it a bit so that it's more drinkable.

On Monday, around 1pm, I visited the restaurant. There were no customers before or after me. The owner asked, "Is it okay to sit at the counter?" and then didn't say anything else. The menu was placed on the counter, and I found out they also serve lunch menu after ordering. The atmosphere inside was a bit uncomfortable, with high humidity and temperature. I couldn't bring myself to say anything to the owner, who was working silently. They boiled the udon and fried tempura after I ordered, which raised the room temperature and humidity. I ordered chicken tempura bukkake udon for myself and marinated pork udon for my child, as they were out of nagaimo. The udon was smooth and chewy, with a great texture. The freshly fried chicken tempura was perfectly seasoned, and the broth, although a bit strong, was delicious overall. The marinated pork was tender and tasty, but the dipping sauce was a bit too salty, making it challenging for my child. However, the udon was so delicious that I would like to come back again. Maybe it would be nice to have udon as a finishing touch after drinking? The owner was too quiet, even placing a pitcher of water for refills without saying a word. I wonder if they chat more in the evening?

On November 30, 2020, I visited Yururi San for the third time. I had my eye on the tax-included one-coin dish, the Hamburger Curry Rice Bowl, which I saw on the master's Instagram. I placed my order and waited about 10 minutes for it to be served since they fry the hamburger cutlet freshly. The dish looked very appetizing with its spicy curry aroma! I first tried the curry, which was deliciously spicy! The rice was cooked slightly firm, which paired well with the curry. Next, I tried the hamburger cutlet - it was freshly fried, hot, and juicy. Although there were only three pieces, they were thick and satisfying. For only 500 yen, I think this dish offers great value for its taste and portion size!

This is in Nakajima-cho, Muroran. Today's shop is Yururi-san. It is located in the middle of the lantern street. We had already decided on the shops to visit during the Nakajima-cho tour, but since we didn't eat at the first place, the two of us weren't hungry. While wandering around, we remembered that we had eaten yakiniku here last week. As we entered the lantern street, we saw that the shop that was full last week was now empty. Looking at the menu board outside, it seemed to be an udon shop that also serves alcohol. Even though we couldn't see inside and didn't feel like eating udon, we decided to go in since they had beer. The small shop had a counter with 6 seats and one 4-person table. We visited after 7 pm and there were 4 regular customers and one customer who came later. They all seemed like regulars, but there was no sense of being out of place, so we asked if we could just have beer, and they welcomed us warmly. The regulars were all eating udon, which seemed really delicious, but we couldn't eat udon at that moment. We ordered two Classic medium bottles of beer for 500 yen each. Since it was mainly a place for alcohol, bottles were fine for us. The appetizer was konjac and cod roe salad, which brought back nostalgic memories. It was a perfect side dish for beer. We also ordered plum and smashed cucumber for 400 yen, which was refreshing and delicious. The owner and regular customers were all nice people, and they also had tempura and various types of udon dishes as options for food. We would like to come back next time to have a drink and eat udon as a closing dish. However, this place closes at 9 pm. If there are regular customers, they might extend a little, but they generally close at that time because the owner goes out for drinks. In fact, we saw him at a few other places later on. It's impossible to come all the way to Nakajima and leave by 9 pm, so it seems like our dream of eating udon here is fading. Oh, I heard they also serve lunch, so maybe there's still a chance during the day! Thank you for the meal.

It was my second visit in two months. Last time I had bukkake udon, and this time I tried the half udon (hot) with a side of fried horse mackerel, a mini chicken tempura bowl, all for exactly 1000 yen. There aren't many specialized udon shops in the Muroran area besides the Sanuki udon chain, so it's hard to make a comparison. Taking into account the taste, speed of service, and comfort of the restaurant, the cost performance is a bit questionable.

I had lunch in Nakajima-cho at a restaurant near Don Quijote. I found a place that was serving lunch, which was rare in this area, so I decided to give it a try. The layout of the restaurant was small, and it felt like it had been converted from a snack bar. There was a male owner who was running the place by himself. I ordered the "Zaru Udon (medium)" for 500 yen. The udon noodles seemed to be homemade and handcrafted. Since they were fresh noodles, it took some time to cook and bring to the table. The chilled noodles had a great chewy texture and bite. They were quite satisfying to eat, so I ended up eating them one by one. The dipping sauce was light and not too sweet. Even though I ordered a medium size, the amount was quite filling due to the chewiness of the noodles. Overall, it was a delicious udon experience.

Opened on June 1, 2020. I heard about this place from a local newspaper, free paper, and Instagram, and finally visited on August 8th. I was indecisive about the menu but ended up ordering the recommended Chicken Tempura Bukkake Udon for 700 yen, along with an additional Egg Tempura for 100 yen. The chicken tempura was fried after ordering, so it was hot and juicy! The noodles had a strong chewiness that showed a lot of dedication, definitely not suitable for those with weak teeth! It's a unique place that you won't find around Muroran! It has a vibe similar to Shinjuku Golden Gai. I'll have to come back for a quick drink next time, even in the evening!

Overwhelming firmness of the noodles, and deliciousness. Combined with freshly fried tempura, it is an exquisite masterpiece.
