The soup is gentle yet flavorful, and the noodles have a nice chewy texture. The shio ramen (780 yen) here is consistently delicious. The only thing that bothers me is that the lighting at the stylish counter is a bit dim. They are planning to relocate and reopen at the Michi-no-Eki in Otofuke next spring, where they will also serve soba noodles. Currently, they also offer tonkatsu at night, so with an expanded menu, they will surely attract a wide range of customers at the Michi-no-Eki.

Spicy Miso Ramen for 850 yen with extra noodles for 110 yen. The broth has a spicy kick with a nice depth of flavor. The noodles are well-made and the chashu is incredibly tender and flavorful. Getting the large size is definitely worth it.

This is my second visit to this restaurant. I had miso ramen last time, and the rich soup was delicious, so this time I ordered the recommended menu, kimchi ramen with braised pork topping. Delicious! It was a miso-based ramen with a mild spiciness and not too sour kimchi, and the braised pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender.

This is Kinoshinai, a town in Otofuke. I walked here from Makubetsu. The distance is not as far as I thought! The weather is great, perfect for walking. I thought this place was relatively new, but when I looked at the reviews from MyRebi, it seems like it has been open for a while. Inside, about 80% of the seats are already taken. It's definitely popular. I ordered the Shio Ramen for 780 yen (with broccoli noodles). It arrived in about 10 minutes. I always wanted to try these broccoli noodles. They look different from regular noodles, a bit green with some specks in them. Let's dig in! First, the soup. It has a gentle flavor with a depth that I can taste. The salt is soft and smooth, very delicious. The broccoli noodles don't really taste like broccoli at all. They are smooth, slippery, and chewy. This ramen has a good balance. Before I knew it, it was gone. Maybe the portion of salt is a bit small? Haha. Next time, I want to try the onion noodles. Thanks for the meal.2020 Ramen Review #138.

I heard about a popular restaurant from a friend and decided to visit it right away. It was just before lunchtime, but there were already several groups of people dining, with more coming in after me. The recommended menu item was the salt ramen. My companion ordered the salt ramen, while I, being a miso fan, ordered the miso ramen. The soup was light, possibly made with seafood, and had a strong flavor. Honestly, the miso ramen was not to my liking, but my companion's salt ramen was delicious.

I visited this restaurant for the second time. The first time I tried the tsukemen and the chashu tsukemen, both with 200g of noodles. I ordered the red spicy option and it had a delicious level of spiciness. I felt like it could use a bit more green onions. The 200g portion is enough for an average man, but if you're really hungry, you could probably eat more. The chashu was recommended and it was really good - tender and flavorful. I definitely want to order it again next time I visit. Actually, I want to go back soon!

What I can do now is to support restaurants while being cautious. Let's all do our best! Today, I planned to have a light meal and enjoy a ramen with plenty of back fat at Otofuke, but they were closed due to the self-restraint. So, I decided to visit a nearby ramen shop called Ramen Souhou Fuji instead. It is located along Kinohigashi Street in Otofuke, next to Yutoriberg Kinno store. The exterior is a one-story building with concrete walls and brown wood accents. The interior is clean with counter seats, table seats, and a raised seating area. I arrived at 12:39 PM. There were a few customers already seated and one customer came in after me. I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 780 yen, with a medium-sized portion for an additional 50 yen, and topped it with braised pork for 160 yen (all prices include tax). The meal arrived in about 6 minutes. The toppings included chashu pork, boiled egg, bamboo shoots, sliced green onions, seaweed, and braised pork. The noodles were homemade medium-thick curly noodles. The soup was light but had a rich and deep flavor from pork, chicken bones, seafood, and bonito. The noodles were chewy and the soup was piping hot and delicious. The braised pork was tender and tasty. The soup was light but flavorful. I will definitely come back for the chewy noodles. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a new ramen place I had never been to before and was in the mood for ramen. The photo is of the spicy miso ramen with extra green onions and 200g of noodles. I arrived around 1:00 and the place was quite busy, showing its popularity. The ramen was delicious, especially the spicy miso flavor. However, I felt like something was missing. It seemed like the ramen was made to appeal to everyone. As for the extra green onions, I thought there could have been more. And the 200g of noodles was a good amount for a man, but might be too much for a woman. The atmosphere could use a bit more liveliness, and the service from the female staff, who I assume were part-time workers, seemed lacking in enthusiasm. It's important for the staff to show more motivation so that customers can feel more welcomed.

I took a little detour from Obihiro to a ramen shop in Otofuke. While the association of Hokkaido with miso ramen is fading, I decided to order miso ramen. I chose broccoli noodles over regular noodles and was intrigued by the option of adding hormone and onion. The soup was surprisingly light and gentle, and the broccoli noodles had a good texture and flavor. Despite the expectation of a rich miso flavor, the ramen was light yet satisfying. It was a delicious meal!

I visited the popular ramen restaurant Fujii in Oto. I arrived at 1:15 PM, just after the lunch rush. There was one group of customers already there, and three more arrived while I was eating. It seems like a good time to visit if you want to eat leisurely. I ordered the salt ramen (780 yen), negi chashu gohan (300 yen), and tsukemen with cold soup in large portion (1000 yen). The salt ramen had a light taste, not too rich, and had a familiar and friendly flavor. The noodles were cooked just right, and the temperature of the soup was perfect. The chashu in the chashu gohan was incredibly tender and delicious. It would be nice if they offered a 100 yen discount for a set. The tsukemen had a thick soy sauce soup for dipping the noodles, but I wonder if they use the same noodles for both ramen and tsukemen here. I usually prefer thicker noodles, so it felt a bit strange to me. In other places, they often use different noodles for tsukemen. The dipping sauce didn't have the viscosity to cling to the noodles like in other places, so it felt similar to zaru ramen. Overall, it was tasty though. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived a little after 2:30, even though the lunch service was supposed to be over. I was worried the restaurant might be closed, but the curtain was still up! I timidly asked if they were still open, and to my relief, they said "It's okay!" What a relief! This place was like a savior after going around in circles trying to find a place open on a Sunday in Otofuke Town. I ordered the tsukemen with extra noodles because I was in the mood for it. And of course, I had to get the limited quantity braised pork with a side of small rice. The soy sauce-based soup was rich and had a seafood flavor, just the way I like it. The braised pork was delicious, especially when dipped in the soup and then mixed with the rice. The broccoli noodles were also chewy and tasty. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and full. Ramen is truly delicious! Thank you for the meal.

"Hormone ramen. The spacious interior had empty seats at the counter, but it quickly filled up. Hormone ramen with broccoli noodles. The soup is miso-based with a strong ginger flavor. It's spicy. The noodles are delicious, with a good texture that you can feel the wheat. The hormone is tender, giving a stewed taste to the ramen. The chashu is also tender. It's easy to see why it gets crowded. A place I would want to visit again soon."

The other day, I was feeling a bit hungover so I chose the tsukemen, but today I went with the recommended salt ramen with braised pork topping and broccoli noodles. The broccoli noodles are just like regular noodles and apparently contain vitamin C which is good for the body. The braised pork was so tender and went well with the salt ramen! (This was a menu item recommended on a flyer.) It was incredibly delicious! I will definitely come back again.

Ramen Sobo Fuji (located in Otofuke-cho, Kato-gun) has been a summer tradition in Obihiro for 3 consecutive years. It was my first time visiting Ban'ei Horse Racing, and I was amazed at how big the horses were! Some of them couldn't even make it up the hill, or stopped running right before the finish line. It was quite entertaining to watch. As for the ramen, they offer salt, soy sauce, miso, and even tsukemen. They also have rice dishes. The interior of the restaurant is family-friendly and cozy. The popular topping "Onimen" caught my attention, along with the braised pork. I also noticed a poster about Broccoli Noodles, which seemed to be part of a town revitalization event. After some consideration, I decided to go for the Onimen with braised pork and half-boiled egg topping for 920 yen. The miso-based soup had a balance of sweetness and spiciness, with a light and smooth texture. The homemade medium-thick noodles soaked up the soup perfectly. The braised pork was tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. It was absolutely delicious and a must-try topping! I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!

I went to Ramen Sobo Fuji-san! This is my second time here. Today, I had work in a different area than usual. I haven't been to this ramen shop for a while. It's called "Fuji" not "Tou-san" but "Fuji-san"! It's located on the back street on the east side of Ono, Otaki. There are many restaurants along this street, and the store here has a large parking lot, which is convenient. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish for a ramen shop. I ordered the soy sauce ramen this time since I had salt ramen last time. They have a weekday special for ramen with grated yam rice for 700 yen including tax. I decided not to have rice today, so I ordered just the ramen. It came with a seasoned egg. The ramen was light and had a good balance of soy sauce flavor. The noodles were better than before, not too chewy. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal at Ramen Sobo Fuji-san.

Kinoshimachi Kino has quite a few ramen shops, it's like a fierce battleground. I had heard about the popularity here, but even though it's located away from the main street in Kino, there was still a line of customers during Sunday lunchtime. The interior of the shop has a counter, tables, and a decent number of seats, so the turnover is good. I ordered the shoyu ramen for 780 yen with a large serving for an additional 110 yen. The menu mentioned a "nostalgic taste," and indeed, it had a retro flavor. It was light and not too strong. Is it incredibly delicious? I'm not so sure. Personally, I find that thin noodles in ramen don't quite match my preference for chewiness and texture. The noodles were different for other customers as the staff mentioned, "You can choose between broccoli-infused noodles and regular noodles." But for me, no broccoli noodles. Maybe because I got the large serving? It felt a bit odd. Well, I don't need broccoli noodles anyway. (From what I overheard, everyone else chose the regular noodles.) This place seems to be the talk of the town for ramen in Onoe, but it didn't quite suit my taste.

I wanted to eat tsukemen but wasn't sure if they had it, so I went in and they did! There were two types of dipping sauce, black and red. I chose the black soy sauce-based soup, which was light and delicious. The broth was served in a teapot to enhance the flavor, and the soup was diluted to make it easy to eat.

Order the spicy red ramen in large size. If you're feeling good, go for the extra-large size. You can also make it spicier, but it will be very hot. The green onion and garlic fried rice are also delicious.

This ramen shop always leaves me unsure of what to eat, but no matter what I choose, it never disappoints.
