The place is... far!! Far from the station!! So, I drove!! (The parking lot is next to the store next to the store, spots 5-12, except 11) I arrived at Nick and Rene, a top 100 store selected for five consecutive years and ranked first in the hamburger star deviation value in Osaka, but it's far!! Unbelievable!! Usually, in remote and secluded areas, you'll find ramen shops, soba shops, high-end French or Italian restaurants, but here is a hamburger joint, which is quite a curveball in this genre of remote locations (although it's not that remote). Either way, it's not near any major train stations, so you have to make a special trip to get there, which raises expectations. The restaurant seems to be inspired by American diners. The inside of the restaurant is filled with movie posters, American character figures, and American-style music playing. It's around noon on Saturday, so there was no line to get in (although I was not directed to the counter, maybe because I was dining alone). I ordered the Avocado Cheeseburger with the B set (medium cola and fries) for just over 2000 yen including tax. It's a high price for a hamburger, but they use Japanese beef, so it's a matter of ingredient cost. What came out was huge, truly American-sized burger, thin fries (medium size), and a glass of cola (with a plastic straw, which is appreciated). Let's eat! It's delicious!! The bun is like a brioche, slightly sweet with a crispy surface. The sauce is tartar sauce (Avocado Cheese has tartar sauce). The patty is Japanese beef, but it's juicy and flavorful, standing out from American or Aussie burgers. When you take a big bite, the harmony in your mouth is heavenly. The tartar sauce goes well with it!! Onion, lettuce, meat, tomato, avocado, cheese - everything blends together in your mouth, creating a delicious harmony. It's really delicious, an excellent burger. And the portion size is huge, you'll definitely get full. It's bigger than a Big Mac, so be careful not to spill any juice while eating. Various juices come out, so be careful not to spill any on your knees. In conclusion, it was indeed the number one hamburger in Osaka (as of June 2003)!! Thank you for the meal!
