Today, I went to the Zenihama area with the intention of having seafood ramen, but I was afraid that there would be no parking space. It was already past 11 o'clock, so I thought this would be a problem and decided to try a second option, an izakaya. The izakaya opened at 11:30, and there was only one car parked in the parking lot next to the store, which seemed to be from a previous customer. I followed the customer into the store, which was already open. I was the second customer to enter. The prices had increased starting from June 1st, and I chose the Zangi set meal for 600 yen. The store was quite spacious, but it seemed to be run by a couple alone. Around noon, more customers started coming in, with a new customer entering every 10 minutes. My meal was ready in no time. For 600 yen, it seemed quite cheap, and the Zangi looked appetizing. The portion size was decent, and the amount of rice was also good. The side of chopped cabbage was not just a small portion. The appearance and service of the izakaya lunch set were exemplary. The rice was glossy and delicious. The Zangi was well marinated and fried perfectly. It had been a while since I had such a tasty Zangi. I enjoyed the meal thoroughly, and the miso soup with tofu was also delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with the izakaya lunch, especially for the price of 600 yen. I definitely want to revisit this place without a doubt.

- No smoking, smoking corner on the left side of the entrance. - Parking available. - Counter, tables, and tatami seating available. - Lunch menu: various set meals for 550 yen each. - One staff member handling everything. - Charming old-fashioned exterior and interior atmosphere. - Goldfish and koi swimming around. - Lunch items may sell out early. - Self-service for water and tea. I've been curious about this place for a while! When I went on a drive to Zenibako with my father and dog, we arrived about 30 minutes before the end of lunchtime. I asked if they still had lunch available, and they said yes. We were seated at a table in the tatami area. The lunch menu had many options for 550 yen each, so it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering the ginger pork set (for my father) and the pork cutlet and egg set (for myself). The portions were generous for the price, which was amazing! Both dishes were slightly salty, which would go well with alcohol. The ginger pork had a unique sauce that was a bit different from the usual, and it was delicious. My father, who prefers lighter flavors, found it slightly salty, but he enjoyed wrapping the pork in the cabbage. The pork cutlet and egg dish was not too thick but tender and tasty. The rice was average, and the miso soup was hot and flavorful with plenty of ingredients. My father also said it was delicious. The atmosphere was calming, and my father seemed to like it as he chatted with the owner about the previous generation running a ramen shop. He even mentioned coming back for the shrimp fry next time. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and the affordable prices, but I wonder how they manage with the rising costs. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at the store right at opening time. The parking lot already had some cars parked. When I entered, there were already 4 customers ahead of me. I have tried going at a different time before because it gets crowded at opening time, but I think it was around noon? They had already closed the shop curtain. The daily special menu was posted at the entrance, slightly below eye level. It was also priced at 550 yen. There were two options available that day. I ordered the ginger pork from the standard menu, the GoGo Lunch. Customers kept coming in. The ginger pork looked good! It came with a bowl of rice, hot miso soup, pickled vegetables, a cabbage salad, and the ginger pork. The cabbage had dressing on it. There was a generous amount of meat in the ginger pork dish! I think there were about 7 pieces of meat, big and small. It was enough to go with the rice. The dish was delicious with the fresh ginger giving it a cool and spicy flavor! Once again, it was a lunch worth applauding. Next time, I might try the daily special, the pork cutlet, or the pork bowl.

In October 2022, I visited a restaurant called "Kisho" in Otaru for lunch and dinner. The restaurant was located in Zenibako, and despite passing by many times before, I never noticed it until now. The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious, with a capacity of around 30 people. The restaurant was run by the owner and a woman (perhaps his wife). I decided to try the full meal set which cost 1,320 yen and chose the shrimp and oyster fry set. The menu indicated that it came with 4 shrimp and 5 oysters, and rice automatically came in a large portion (although I opted for a regular size). The meal was served with a generous portion of cabbage salad with a sesame dressing, crispy oysters with tartar sauce, and slender but well-cooked shrimp. The miso soup was hot and delicious with plenty of daikon and fried tofu. I struggled a bit towards the end but managed to finish the meal with a mix of tartar and tonkatsu sauce. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, although next time I might try the 550 yen lunch set for a lighter option.

I visited for lunch. The lunch menu is cheap! This time, I ordered the "katsu and egg bowl" set. Since the owner is running the place alone, it takes some time for the food to come out. The katsu isn't very big, but it tastes delicious. The rice is very good too. I would like to come back again for lunch. Thank you for the meal!

I visited for lunch. The lunch menu is cheap and has a wide variety. This time, I ordered 'Zangi (6 pieces) & Pork Cutlet Set'. It might be hard to tell from the photo, but the rice portion was large! The cabbage was also a generous portion, with plenty of pork cutlet and zangi. It was a lot of food, which made me happy, but when I tried it, it was quite heavy. The rice was okay, but the portion was big and tasty, so I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I visited Takakatsu for the first time on a rare weekday off, and it was a place I had always wanted to go. The exterior had a traditional Japanese mansion feel to it. Inside, there was a pond with goldfish swimming, and a young handsome male owner was working hard by himself. There were counter seats and tatami mat seating available. In the evening, it turns into an izakaya, but they also serve lunch during the day. The set meals listed on the menu were reasonably priced, but the lunch menu written on the wall was only 550 yen, which is a steal! It's like one coin plus tax. I was a bit indecisive, but I ordered the ginger pork set meal. After a short wait, when it was brought to me, I was surprised by the generous portion that didn't match the price. I was delighted with the amount of food. It came with rice, miso soup, ginger pork, salad, and pickles. The ginger pork was tender, and the rice had a rich flavor that made it so delicious. The miso soup had wakame seaweed and tofu, and the broth was tasty. The salad was fresh and crunchy, and everything was well-prepared and tasty. The rice portion was quite large, and there was nothing to complain about. I was worried if they were making a profit at 550 yen. It was cheap, delicious, and filling. I was extremely satisfied. If it were nearby, I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the meal!

If you don't have any information, you can't go first, right? A popular restaurant in Zenibako with a lunch menu that is happy at 500 yen excluding tax. So, on my third visit, I tried the tonkatsu set meal that I was curious about last time. Despite the many customers, the serving time was not that long. The young owner's work is quick. A large serving of cabbage with tomato and cucumber. A hot miso soup with plenty of enoki mushrooms and tofu. Plenty of rice. The tonkatsu is a satisfying size for the price. The batter is sticky and fried well. No complaints, very satisfied! The most ordered dish that day was the ginger pork set meal. I guess this is the recommended dish, right? Next time, should I go for the skewers or the ginger pork?

Second visit. I came back because the lunch deal was so good last time. I ordered the Zangi set meal from the daily special and regular lunch menu. The young and handsome owner runs the place by himself. The Zangi set meal came with a generous serving of cabbage, cucumber, and tomato, and the Zangi pieces were small but there were 7 of them. This lunch is also great! The miso soup was full of ingredients and delicious. The Zangi was well seasoned and went well with the rice. It was also fun to change the taste with mayonnaise. There were many regular customers. This is a good restaurant. Besides the lunch deal for less than a coin, there are other lunch menu options as well. Next time, I might try the daily special or the popular ginger pork.

I found a great restaurant in a quiet residential area of Senhaku! The location is not one you would normally pass by. The restaurant has a solid and impressive appearance. There is parking for about 10 cars behind and beside the restaurant. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch. In the evening, they serve izakaya dishes. The lunch menu is displayed on the wall, with daily specials. On this day, they had a big chicken cutlet as the special, priced at 550 yen. The chicken cutlet that was served was large in size and moderate in thickness. It was served on a bed of cabbage, with tomatoes and cucumbers on the side. The miso soup was full of ingredients like tofu. The rice portion was generous. All of this for 550 yen is a great deal. The owner of the restaurant is a good-looking young man. Isn't this a wonderful restaurant? The regular lunch menu looks tempting, but the daily specials are also enjoyable. This is a reliable restaurant with a rotating menu.

Today was also cold. Because it was cold, I had oden for lunch. The simple seasoning was excellent. While eating oden, I also added some zangi. Zangi that goes well with white rice was also excellent.

My daughter and I had tonkatsu set meal for 550 yen, and pork ginger set meal for 550 yen. The prices were reasonable. The building was impressive. I saw a unique washbasin with only one faucet in the restroom for the first time.

I stopped by for lunch and the price was cheap at 550 yen, and the taste was delicious, so it was great. However, because they were understaffed and busy, it took about 10-15 minutes after ordering for the food to be brought to the table.

I visited a izakaya in the residential area of Zenikan. Despite being in a residential area, the restaurant has a solid construction using logs. I was curious about it and decided to visit for lunch with my partner. The interior of the restaurant is like a mountain hut with a calm atmosphere. There is even a pond inside with goldfish swimming around. The lunch menu mainly consists of fried and grilled dishes. I had the Zangi set meal, while my partner had the daily special "Kihada tuna sashimi and stuffed tofu simmered in a target shooting style set meal." The Zangi set meal was supposed to come with 5 pieces, but it actually had 6 pieces, which was a pleasant surprise. The Zangi was quite delicious. My partner couldn't resist and kept taking more pieces, saying they were tasty. We were joking about a recent review where I was referred to as a "loving husband" by Richard1958 for another restaurant, and my partner ended up taking 2 pieces of my Zangi. When I complained, my partner retorted, "What loving husband?" The food was indeed delicious. My partner enjoyed the Kihada tuna sashimi and the stuffed tofu simmered in a target shooting style. The lunch was priced at 540 yen including tax, which was a great value considering the quality of the food. If there were more restaurants like this in the neighborhood, it would be great. Even though I don't drink, I imagine they serve delicious drinks as well. Thank you for the meal.

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to check it out. The sign outside is lovely and the railing outside is very stylish with a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Inside, there is a bridge over a pond with swimming koi fish, making it really stylish! The lunch menu is displayed on the wall and everything is priced at 500 yen each (plus tax). I had the pork bowl, while my family had the pork cutlet bowl and the chicken and egg bowl. The pork bowl was really delicious. It came with miso soup and a generous portion of rice, so we were all satisfied. It seemed like there were a lot of office workers on their lunch break.
