The morning buffet seems to be included by default, so it's quite crowded from early in the morning. Since it's a hotel at the airport, there are a lot of people preparing for early flights, not just Japanese people, but also foreigners. It's not just noisy, but quite loud. There is a diverse mix of cultures, so each has its own buffet culture. There were some aspects that seemed a bit risky in terms of operation, but it felt just safe enough. It seems to be extremely crowded from early morning until 8:30, but the content is quite normal. If it's included by default, it's just okay, I guess.

This is a hotel directly connected to New Chitose Airport. I had breakfast here. You can also relax in the New Chitose Onsen inside the airport. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it. Walking around the empty airport at night is a good experience! The atmosphere was lively and bustling. The ordering process is included in the price. They said it gets crowded from 6:00-7:00, so they open at 5:50, but I couldn't imagine eating that early in the morning. Anyway, it's free, so I walked around the empty airport, took a morning bath, and quickly had breakfast. Temperature check, disinfection, plastic gloves. The guests were about 70% families, with some people from overseas and golf enthusiasts. Some guests were friendly and easy to talk to, which made me realize that this kind of interaction is not common in Tokyo. I stayed for about 6:30 and it started to get crowded afterwards. The service was polite. There were staff who could speak English, and I noticed that overseas guests seem to tolerate more casual service. The menu included salad, side dishes, rice, miso soup, frozen fruits, cereal, milk, bread, curry, coffee, juice, and yogurt. When I was picked up, the parking lot B was close and I didn't stay long, so it was free. The octopus carpaccio was delicious. The presentation of the simmered mushrooms was not very good. It was crowded, so I refrained from taking photos of the buffet.

This is a hotel inside the airport. The room rate usually includes breakfast. They open at 6 am due to the airport's unique nature. They offer a buffet breakfast, although the variety may be a bit limited. It's better than the breakfast at hotels like Toyoko Inn, but the taste is just average. It's neither good nor bad. The food is replenished promptly, and there are enough staff members on duty. The photos show an overview of the buffet and the morning sky at the airport.

I stayed overnight to pick up a friend arriving on an early morning flight. After checking in around 7pm, I headed to the nearby hotel bath where the tub was small but nice, with enough space to stretch your legs. The shower area was limited, but the sauna was a nice touch. Back in the room, I enjoyed a purchased bento for dinner. The room size was adequate for one person, and the variety of channels on TV kept me entertained. The next morning, I had a pleasant experience at breakfast with a cheerful greeting and a buffet of home-cooked dishes. The flavors were all delicious, though the curry was a bit strong. Overall, it was a satisfying breakfast, and I appreciated being able to take coffee to go. The staff were all friendly and made my stay enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality.

On December 15, 2009 (my birthday, so I remember it), I came up with a spontaneous idea and submitted a proposal, which was unexpectedly accepted right before the end of the year. From then until the reopening of New Chitose Airport International Terminal in July 2010, I visited the construction site at the airport about 10 times, traveling from Asahikawa. Over the next six years, I visited New Chitose Airport twice a year, but last week marked my final visit. The work here was quite challenging, and I had a lot of sentimental attachment to it. For the closure, I stayed overnight at Chitose Airport Hotel, located at 6-1 Chiyoda-cho, Chitose City. Check-in from 3 pm, check-out at 10 am, parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. The one night stay with breakfast included cost 4000 yen. The room was basic, but it was convenient as it was a work trip. The hotel is straight ahead from the airport and takes less than 10 minutes to reach. Due to strong winds that day, I did not take a photo of the exterior. The bath was cramped, but for 4000 yen, it was acceptable. The hotel also offered free Wi-Fi, which was convenient. As for breakfast, it was a buffet with curry and other dishes. The food was average, nothing special. The other guests seemed busy, quickly eating and leaving. There were 8-9 groups during my stay, but only one other person and I went for seconds.

On the second morning of my trip to Hokkaido, I woke up at the Chitose Airport Hotel. The weather was clear again today! I heard that sea urchin fishing, which was banned last year, is now allowed again this month and there is a good harvest. The hotel breakfast was a self-service buffet. Business hotel buffets used to be not so great in the past, but recently they have started to offer more creative options. This hotel was one of them. Starting with crispy salads and black vinegar drinks, there were dishes like Genghis Khan lamb barbecue and spicy mapo tofu. Everything was delicious, from the spicy European-style hotel curry to finish. Oh, it was really tasty!
