Bocca×Bocca
Located about a 7-8 minute walk from JR Osaka Loop Line Fukushima Station, it is situated near the intersection along Amidaike-Suji if you are driving. Due to its immense popularity, I made a reservation in advance. The phone call I had made to reserve left a strong impression on me due to the courteousness of the staff. When I arrived around 18:30 on a weekday, the counter on the 1st floor was full, so I was seated on the 2nd floor at a table. The atmosphere was reminiscent of an Italian bar, and I had a feeling that I had stumbled upon a great restaurant. As I ordered a drink and looked at the menu board, a waiter swiftly came over to assist me. I was amazed by how he took the time to explain the ingredients used in each dish, the combinations with other dishes, and even the portion sizes, offering helpful advice. During the meal, the waiter maintained the perfect balance of being attentive yet not intrusive, engaging in conversation and enhancing the overall dining experience. I opted for the "Anpatisto" with fresh oysters from Aioi, served simply with lemon, which was a fantastic choice. For the pizza, I went with the classic "Margherita", and the flavor and richness of the buffalo mozzarella cheese stood out compared to other pizzerias. I couldn't quite put it into words... As we were a party of two, we skipped the primo piatto and chose the "Roasted Chicken Thigh" as our second dish. The aroma of herbs and the juicy tenderness of the chicken thigh were excellent. For dessert, we had a selection of four different sweets, all of which were of high quality, but the pistachio gelato left the most lasting impression! It's worth visiting just for this gelato alone. The espresso after the meal was also authentic, with a rich crema. Drinking espresso in true Italian style is simply delicious... After some pleasant conversation with the waiter, we left the restaurant. The pizza maker also bid us farewell with a refreshing smile. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in food, atmosphere, and etiquette like this one. I will definitely visit again. It's truly worth it.
