I came to Pan Fest 2023 Spring at Yokohama Red Brick. I arrived early and entered in the morning. There is a huge line. I bought quite a lot while saying it's for myself. Can I eat all of this? (*´ω｀*) I tried various breads that caught my interest at the booth of the shop called "Sweet Orchestra". The one I bought was "Shiraishi Anpan" for 380 yen including tax. *This bread won the Gold Award at the "Bread Fest Award 2021".* I took it back as a takeout and brought it to my workplace. Now, let's eat. First bite. Oh~ (●´ω｀●) It's like a bread that is a mix between a Danish pastry and a taiyaki, with a pastry that is not too dry or too moist. The anko inside is moist and the texture is quite nice. What is mixed in the anko? The flavor is like mochi and the transparent anko stretches. It feels strange but it tastes good. The representative sweetness is the anko that stretches like mochi coating. The texture is like sweet bean paste. The accent is the mochi (stretchy anko). It tastes good. In terms of cost performance, it feels cheap at 380 yen. Thank you for the meal. This anpan made by a serious sweet shop is truly delicious. Sweet Potato 720 yen, Custard Cream Bread 320 yen. The sweet potato had custard cream inside, but the creaminess was not very strong, allowing you to enjoy the taste of the sweet potato. It had a skin on the outside. The custard cream bread looked like a cream puff at first glance. There were various cream flavors available, but I instinctively chose custard, ending up with a custard-custard combination.

In September 2022, I purchased the Cream Panda from Warakudo at the Michi-no-Eki Utoro as a frozen product. When I tried it at home, I was like, is this bread? Or a cream puff? It doesn't look or feel like bread, nor a cream puff, but it's delicious. The cream is ordinary, so I guess the unique texture is the selling point. I don't really get it, like are you bread? Or a cream puff? What are you exactly? But it says it's bread from the beginning (lol). It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I purchased this dorayaki at a Hokkaido Fair. It had a cream filling that was about the size of five pieces of fabric, sandwiched between the pancakes. I was worried it might be too rich, but it wasn't at all. The cream had a delicious richness and aroma from the milk fat, complemented by the gentle sweetness of the red bean paste. The balance of flavors was perfect, with the cream being plentiful, making the overall sweetness of the pancakes subtle. I kept eating and before I knew it, the dorayaki was gone. From May 20th to 22nd, there was a Hokkaido Fair at Daily Kanart featuring delicious treats from the north for early summer. One of the best-sellers was the "Omotchi's" cheese cake for 972 yen. The texture of the cake was like freshly made mochi, soft and stretchy, with a unique rich flavor. At first, I thought it was a rare cheesecake wrapped in mochi, but it turned out to be a completely new dessert where rare cheesecake is mixed into the mochi. It was a delicious and innovative treat.

The law remains lenient until dozens of people die. It takes 26 deaths for the law to finally change. At least, a remote area like the small Shimizu town in Shari District, where even radio signals can't reach, is registered as a World Heritage site. How absurd. I visited a roadside station in Shimizu town to buy shrimp simmered in soy sauce. I didn't expect to find anything else, but I came across "Shirodora" for 580 yen. It seems to be a highly rated shop. I have to leave tomorrow, so I can't leave it uneaten. Is the dough like a dorayaki or a cake? The cream is delicious. Oh, walnuts? It provides a nice texture variation. It was delicious.

First time at Waraku-Do. Celebrating the 1st anniversary, they have a limited edition item at the main store - the Shiraishi Anpan. It has a moist and chewy thin skin with a creamy red bean paste and mochi inside. It's a bit stretchy. I bet it becomes even more stretchy when heated. The Milk Mochi Choux is filled after ordering. I waited in a corner of the small store. The mochi made with milk has a chewy and bouncy texture. It's nice with the fluffy dough. I actually wanted to try the Milk Mochi drink or soft serve, but I completely forgot why I came here in the first place.

I forgot to upload this series(;´∀｀) Visit in December 2021. On this day, I went to the Nango 13-chome area and my companion said they wanted something sweet! So we searched and stopped by this place nearby. They had a variety of products at direct sales prices, a great deal! We bought the popular product from Warakudo, "Shiraishi Brick," and also picked up the "Brick Fragments" that are collected during the production process. It was a mix of brick pieces, but surprisingly, it had a smooth texture and a taste similar to raw chocolate! It was even more delicious than the actual product. We also tried the "Tomato Cookies" called "Tomatchees," which were not sweet at all but had a spicy tomato flavor. Perfect for wine pairing! The "Pop Pudding (Custard)" was described as a cream puff created by a serious dessert shop, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, my companion enjoyed it, especially the cream. There were many other interesting products, so I definitely want to go back and buy more! Thank you, Warakudo!♪

"Warakudo" offers a unique sweet potato dessert where a whole sweet potato is pressed, mashed, and molded, leaving only the skin at the bottom. It is filled with custard cream in the middle, giving it a subtly sweet flavor. It is a gentle and flavorful sweet potato dish with a generous portion. Sharing one between two people is just right. I was driving around the area near Shiraishi, thinking of buying some sweets for my team members for their 3 o'clock snack, when I stumbled upon Warakudo, known for their Shiraishi anpan. I went inside and found out that they are now selling the nationally popular Maritozzo. I decided to get it for takeout and it was amazing! The whipped cream was generous but not too heavy, and the bread was unexpectedly fluffy and delicious. It was a bit bigger than I expected, but I finished it in no time (laughs). This would definitely make a great souvenir gift that anyone would be happy to receive. I will definitely come back for more.

I haven't been to Hokkaido, but I think I bought this raisin butter at a local product exhibition on my way home from work. This raisin butter has a noticeable sweetness to it. Personally, I prefer the famous Rokkatei brand... I'm not a big fan of raisin butter, to be honest.

I bought some outlet sweets at Warakudo. They had chocolate brick pieces and white dorayaki, but they were sold out, so I got a lucky bag instead. I went in the afternoon, but next time I want to go in the morning. The bag had plenty of chocolate brick pieces for 300 yen, so I was very satisfied!

On the table was a series of extra edition "Bought by myself" purchased at Sendai Station. Although the sweet potato looked delicious, I decided against buying refrigerated items because carrying them back carefully would be tiresome. Instead, I chose this Hokkaido red bean donut "Soya Salt" for 378 yen, which can be carried around at room temperature. There were about two other flavors available, but I chose salt for some reason. I was recommended to buy all three for 1,000 yen, but I politely declined. I ate it at work. When I tried to share it, I realized it wasn't individually packaged. I stuck toothpicks in them and distributed them in the office, and they were well received. Even if they weren't that great, you can't really say that to someone's face, right? (It's actually delicious!) The size is about one bite if you try hard. The dough is greasy, and the filling is sweet red bean paste with a nice touch of salt. It doesn't have that unpleasant oily smell, so you can have several pieces. Looking at the store's page on Tabelog, it seems that red bean donuts are not their specialty. If I happen to visit Megurimegurume again, I would like to try a proper one.

This shop, which makes custom cakes and other treats, also sells discounted outlet items. I bought some broken baked goods - delicious almond-flavored cookies. Perfect for myself. I will definitely visit again.

I thought they were made with gyuhi, but it turned out to be different (゜ロ゜; I can't believe it's so stretchy and chewy without mochi! In the area near Nango 7-chome Station, a little off Mizuyuji Street, there is a Western confectionery shop. In response to my wife's request for sweet potato, we visited this shop for the first time. There are a few parking spaces in front of the shop. The shop also has a small cafe space for resting.
