This is the last stop of my journey in Tokachi, Hokkaido. I think staying at three places in one night is the limit. Here, they have a Finnish-style sauna with self-pouring water. They also have a cold water bath and an outdoor air bath, which is located right next to the changing room. I didn't realize this at first, so it was quite disappointing. After taking a dip in the cold water bath, you have to walk through the changing room to get to the outdoor air bath. It's very inefficient. I remembered the concierge at the Dormy Inn asking me if I had tried the sauna soda. Yes, I did! It's called "TOKACHI SAUNA SODA 37" and it was developed in collaboration with the Tokachi Sauna Council. The saunas in Tokachi are really hot!

I stayed at "Tokachi Gardens Hotel" on this day. I chose this hotel because it has a hot spring bath! I thought that a hot spring bath is a must when staying in the Tokachi area, so I was glad to find a hotel that met that condition right in front of the station. When I made the hotel reservation, breakfast was supposed to be a set meal, but when I checked in, it turned out to be a buffet. Around 7:30, I went to the breakfast venue on the second floor and secured a seat. There was a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available, as well as a variety of drinks. They even had the Hokkaido specialty, pork bowl. After finishing the first round of Japanese dishes, I moved on to the Western dishes. The daily soup, "Minestrone," was delicious. Finally, I took a coffee to go and spent some relaxing time in my room until check-out.

During this business trip, I had a hearty breakfast every morning. The meals were served in a buffet style for all three days, which was consistent. On the first day, I chose a Western-style breakfast. The bread options included croissants, baguettes, and toast, all warm and crispy. I particularly enjoyed the croissant with just the right amount of butter, served with two types of jam (strawberry and blueberry). For the main dish, I chose sunny-side-up eggs with mashed potatoes and sausage on top. There was no Worcestershire sauce, so I just used salt and pepper. The potatoes were slightly sweet, and the sausage was standard. The milk was delicious Hokkaido brand. The minestrone soup had a nice acidity and was tasty, with bacon, onions, and leafy greens as ingredients. The ham and onion vinegar dish was tender and easy to eat. The tomato sauce side dish was especially tasty with bread. The individually packed salads were fresh, and the dressing came in small packets. On the second day, I opted for a Japanese breakfast, which included rice, miso soup, pickles, raw egg, miso-marinated cod, rolled omelet, simmered dish, sashimi, spinach, squid and cucumber salad, spicy cod roe, and kelp simmered dish. I thought I might get tired of Western food after having it for two days in a row, but I found that the Japanese options were a bit limited. Unfortunately, when I went to eat a bit later, the salad was sold out. The miso-marinated cod and simmered dish were delicious. I ended up having a simple meal of rice topped with raw egg. If I visit again, I will definitely go for the full Western breakfast. On the third day, I chose a Western breakfast again, with the same bread options as the first day. I tried scrambled eggs for the main dish, but they still lacked flavor. I prefer them a bit more cooked. I only ate half of it. The soup was burdock, not very appealing in color but had a nice bitterness and earthy taste, perfect for spring. The side dishes were the same as the first day. Luckily, there was still salad available on this day.

The Tokachi Gardens Hotel in Obihiro was a conveniently located hotel, just a 1-minute walk from Obihiro Station North Exit! They also have a hot spring bath inside the hotel! Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the 2nd floor where you can choose between a Japanese set meal or a Western plate. I chose the Japanese set meal which included rice, miso soup, pickles, boiled spinach, croquette, grilled fish (cod marinated in miso), sashimi, salad, and onsen tamago (hot spring egg). It was nice to have sashimi for breakfast! You can also help yourself to natto from the fridge counter, which was the award-winning Nakanodaen's Yukionjuku natto with large beans. The red bean soup made with Tokachi-grown azuki beans can be ordered from the staff, which was a comforting treat on a cold morning. They also offer yogurt from Kagetsu Ranch in Kaoimachi, which you can enjoy with strawberry sauce. The yogurt had a mild flavor with a hint of sweetness. Overall, it was a delightful breakfast featuring local ingredients from Obihiro!

Tokachi Gardens Hotel in front of Obihiro Station. Stay at a great deal with GOTO & Obihiro discount♪ This time, 4 of us stayed for 300 yen per person per night with breakfast included. Not 3,000 yen, but 300 yen. At first, I thought it was a lie, but it's a true story. GOTO will be temporarily suspended from December 28th to January 11th, so staying at the above price is not possible. It may be possible before that or after January 12th. However, as far as I researched, the plan for 1 night at 300 yen when I stayed was not available. In simple terms, as of December 27th (Sunday), a stay for 2 people in a twin room with breakfast for 1 night is available for 2,100 yen (including tax) (about 1,000 yen per person). You can also use GOTO coupons worth 2,000 yen, so it is still possible to stay for free. The world has become a bit unfair with these tricks. These are the taxes that everyone usually pays. Some people criticize this, but since I pay a lot of taxes usually, I want to take advantage of this opportunity! We stayed for 2 nights as a family trip while following the infection prevention measures set by the government. I will list the detailed amount when I stayed at the bottom. This is a review on Tabelog, and I don't think anyone is interested, but I only use Tabelog for SNS and want to keep it as my own record. First, about Tokachi Gardens Hotel: ◎Location It is located in front of Obihiro Station, directly across the road. ◎Parking fee 600 yen per night. It used to be 550 yen, but it has increased by 50 yen, which is still reasonable as many places in Asahikawa charge 800 to 1,000 yen. I stayed for 2 nights, so it was 1,200 yen. You can park in the open-air parking lot next to the hotel with free access (you need to inform the staff of your car model and number at check-in). ◎Hot Springs Mall Onsen. One indoor bath, one cold bath, one sauna (recently available for loofah). ◎Breakfast Choose between Japanese or Western breakfast at check-in. If you have a room-only plan, you can add it for 1,310 yen. This review will focus on the breakfast. ◎Ice There is an ice maker in front of the bath on the 3rd floor. ◎Restaurant It is located on the 2nd floor. The breakfast venue and dinner restaurant are the same. You can also get takeout menus at night and enjoy them in your room. You can also use GOTO Regional Coupons (both paper and electronic). ★Review★ I chose Japanese breakfast for both nights, so it was delicious. I will write a review of the second night. Breakfast is from 7:00 am, so when I arrived at exactly 7:00 am, there was already a line. Is this a lie!? And there were people already eating in the breakfast venue! When did this start? We waited in our room until the designated time feeling like fools for waiting 10 minutes. During that time, it was crowded, really crowded! It felt like someone's going to get angry, like a certain governor. Everyone wore masks and waited quietly. Some people just got coffee and handed their breakfast tickets to the staff, entered the venue, made coffee, and went to the elevator... Seeing that, I wondered if this system was okay. I suggested to the hotel that they should determine the breakfast time at check-in, but will it change? By the way, when I stayed the first night, I arrived at the same time, but I was able to enter smoothly, so maybe the second night was busier. Inside, surprisingly, it was not crowded. I understand the entrance restrictions, but I don't understand why they make over a dozen people wait in the narrow space in front of the elevator. It seems more crowded that way. Certainly, when eating, you take off your mask, so the risk... but thinking about that would make me tired from the morning, so I decided to enjoy the delicious breakfast. I didn't like the grilled fish and sashimi the previous day, so the grilled salmon on the second night was a hit. The sashimi was squid, also a hit. I'm so happy. Even with consecutive nights, the style is the same, with some of the same menu items here and there. It's a half-buffet style, with a main tray +α. This +α part is quite appreciated. First, the main tray. The soft-boiled egg seems to be standard equipment. The grilled fish was red salmon that day. It was a bit salty, but the taste that goes well with rice. I'm so happy that it's red salmon, not autumn salmon! The vinegared dish also has an elegance. It's crab for breakfast, crab = crab.

When I go to play in Obihiro, I always stay at Tencho Gardens Hotel, which is the best place to stay. This time is my fourth visit. It's not that anything stands out, but overall satisfaction is high. I usually request a Western-style breakfast set when I check in. The breakfast venue is the restaurant on the second floor. The basic set meal is served on a tray, but it's a half-buffet style so you can try various dishes. I even had "shiratama zenzai" for breakfast. The bread here is always delicious. I will definitely stay here again.

Today's breakfast will be at the Tokachi Garden Hotel in Obihiro. They offer a set menu style where you can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast, and this time I'll go with the Western option. I start with water and take my morning medication. After a short wait, my Western breakfast arrives, consisting of scrambled eggs, soup, beef stew, salad, and bread. I also help myself to some grapefruit juice. The rich soup is delicious and makes me want to have a drink. Should I go for a beer or maybe a Tokachi wine? This hotel is convenient with hot springs and close to the downtown area. But most importantly, the breakfast is excellent and I look forward to staying here again. Thank you for the meal! Tokachi Gardens Hotel, 11-16 Nishi 2-jo Minami, Obihiro, Hokkaido.

In my regular stay at Gardens Hotel in Obihiro, it had been five years since my last visit. Upon check-in, guests can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast options. Last time, I chose Japanese breakfast for the first night, only to find out that the second night was buffet-style with no option for both Japanese and Western dishes. The Japanese breakfast set included rice, miso soup, grilled cod with salt, grilled green peppers, kombu tsukudani, mentaiko, nikujaga (meat and potato stew), onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg), spinach ohitashi, scallop sashimi, and squid salad. Unfortunately, there were not many options that I liked, so I ended up having natto rice, miso soup with bonito dashi, salad, ohitashi, tsukudani, mentaiko, and half of the grilled cod. The milk was good as always. I decided to skip the buffet breakfast on the second day as the charm of this place lies in the set meals. Next time, I will go for the Western breakfast with sunny-side-up eggs. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is a review of the breakfast at Tokachi Gardens Hotel. I had only dinner last time, so this time I will review the breakfast. I had dinner at an Indian restaurant and only used the breakfast option this time. The price for a single meal without accommodation is 1,296 yen, so I adjusted my budget accordingly. This time, I stayed with two people in a twin room for one night, with breakfast costing a little over 5,000 yen per person. Plus a parking fee of 550 yen per day. The location is just a few minutes' walk from Obihiro Station, and the price is quite cheap. I was considering staying at the Nikko Hotel this time, but the fact that Tokachi Gardens Hotel has a large hot spring bath (with a sauna that you can use from the morning) was the deciding factor for me. As for the breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western style, which you confirm at check-in. I chose the Japanese style. Personally, this is my favorite style. It's like having a set meal plus a half buffet. The meal included sashimi (it was yellowtail), fish, tarako, and slightly spicy kombu, which all went well with rice. The half buffet included salad, fruits, delicious raw egg, natto, and self-service for rice refills without needing to call the staff. The rice was Yumepirika! It's a delight. There was also zenzai, yogurt, and various drinks like coffee, orange juice, Tokachi milk, and unsweetened black tea. It's more than enough. For 1,296 yen, I think the content is satisfying. It's quite surprising that you can stay in a twin room with breakfast included for a little over 5,000 yen. The room was clean, the beds were made by a luxury bed maker Simmons, and the hot water temperature was just right. I've also been to a hotel in Hokkaido, but in terms of service, atmosphere, sauna, and breakfast content, I think Tokachi Gardens Hotel is a step above. It's cheap, close to the station, and when traveling to Obihiro with a few people, I think Tokachi Gardens Hotel is the best choice. I really like this hotel.

This is a stay in Obihiro. As usual, it is a hotel with hot springs near the station. "Tokachi Gardens Hotel" This is my third time staying here. The building itself is not very new, but it is kept clean and the staff are very nice. Plus, they have a large communal bath which is great! Relaxing in the hot spring and enjoying a few beers in the bustling area... Now, onto breakfast the next morning. It is also delicious. (^ー^) You can choose between a Japanese or Western-style set meal, and there is a self-service corner with various drinks, salad, fruits, natto, raw eggs, and more. We chose the Western-style breakfast... Ham and eggs, corn soup, and 3 types of bread. There was also something like tomato sauce stew and escabeche. You can have seconds of bread, and I also tried the self-service porridge. (^ー^) Overall, it is a very satisfying hotel~♪

This is Obihiro. I'm starting to get tired of staying at the same hotel during my business trips, so I decided to stay at a new hotel for the first time ^_^ This time it's Tokachi Gardens Hotel. You can choose between Western or Japanese breakfast, and I chose Western this time. Salad, fruits, drinks, and dessert are all you can eat. The basics are fried eggs and sausages, mashed potatoes, salmon carpaccio, small gratin, and consomme soup. You can have unlimited refills of bread. The fried eggs made at the hotel are so delicious! The yolk is perfectly runny, and I like to mix the white with the yolk and then dip the last yolk with the bread to eat cleanly! Oh, it's so good, Mr. Tamalunch! Papa loves to eat fried eggs with rock salt or whole pepper, without using soy sauce. Although I'm on a diet, I didn't have seconds of bread, but it was quite tasty ^_^ The consomme soup served at the perfect temperature also has a nice flavor. It was a very elegant and nice breakfast. From now on, this will be my go-to choice ♫ Thank you for the meal ^_^

Hotel in front of the station. Stayed here for 3 nights. The buffet is nice, but there's a risk of the food being the same every day. Here, you can choose between Japanese and Western food, with salad being buffet-style. On the first day, I went for Japanese food. Grilled salted salmon was the main dish with various other dishes. The freshly cooked rice was delicious. I secretly think that Hokkaido rice is tasty. On the second day, I tried the Western food. You can choose egg dishes, like sunny-side-up eggs, omelettes, or scrambled eggs. I chose sunny-side-up eggs. The warm consomme soup was delicious. You can also get freshly baked bread. On the third day, I had the Western food again. Scrambled eggs with mushroom potage soup. It was amazing! The rich mushroom flavor was outstanding. It's great that the dishes change daily for a multi-night stay. I forgot to take a picture, but the yogurt in the fridge is a must-try! It's like custard yogurt. I don't remember the name, but it's recommended. They also have a hot spring bath and sauna. Waking up early to enjoy a leisurely morning bath followed by breakfast is the best. I would love to visit again someday.

On a regular day, due to various circumstances, I had to stay in Obihiro City. Originally, I was planning to stay at Tokachigawa Onsen, but when I checked the accommodations, I found out that only room-only plans were available. So, I decided to choose a hotel near Obihiro Station and have dinner in the downtown area instead. Among the two options I selected, I chose this one for the following reasons: 1) it is closer to the downtown area, 2) it has a mall hot spring bath, and 3) the breakfast is also highly rated. The location is excellent, just a 1-minute walk from Obihiro Station, and they also have a paid private parking lot, which is convenient. The hotel is relatively new and has a clean facility. The security measures are also well taken care of. In particular, the door to the mall hot spring bath requires a room key card to open (female guests are given a separate key card). However, there was a machine malfunction when we tried to enter, and the staff were a bit flustered. We had to wait for a while before being able to enter. I have been grateful to be able to enjoy the unique plant-based mall hot spring that can only be found in Tokachi. For breakfast, we went to the "Gardens Cafe" restaurant on the 2nd floor. Upon check-in, they asked if we wanted a Japanese or Western breakfast, and our choice was served promptly after we were seated. The Western breakfast included creamy scrambled eggs, toast, croissants, walnut bread, and minestrone soup. The portion was just right for breakfast, and the bread was delicious. There was also a small buffet with salad and yogurt from the grasslands of Katsuyama-cho, which was a nice addition. In conclusion, this hotel is very convenient and serves as a good base for sightseeing. If you search for accommodations in Tokachi on Rakuten, you will definitely find this hotel easily. Thank you for the meal.

My mother was coming from Tokyo to visit for sightseeing in Eastern Hokkaido, so we decided to stay in Obihiro the day before as it would be too tiring to travel on the same day from Sapporo. We stayed at Tokachi Gardens Hotel, which was right next to the hotel parking lot where we parked our car upon arrival in broad daylight and checked in using a machine, which was a new experience but very easy. The room was decent for the price, and we didn't have any specific movie we wanted to watch on the complimentary video. We decided to go out for dinner, and the location right in front of Obihiro Station and close to the downtown area was perfect. We went to eat Indian curry, which I had been wanting to try for a long time, and then returned to the hotel. One of the highlights of this hotel is the natural moor hot spring, where we relaxed and soaked in the large bath to soothe our tired bodies from the long drive. The next day, we enjoyed the hotel's other highlight - breakfast. They offered a half-buffet style breakfast where you could choose between a Japanese set meal or a Western plate, and the buffet had a variety of items including fresh salad, fruits, award-winning natto, delicious red bean shiruko, and amazing yogurt from Kiyomizu Farm Country Home Landscape in Shika Town. The beef stew on the Western plate was particularly impressive with its deep flavor. They even provided coffee cups for guests to take back to their rooms, which was a nice touch. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, and it's clear why this hotel is highly rated in a competitive area. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Obihiro.

I secured a room at Tokachi Gardens Hotel through "Jalan" on the day of my stay, and it turned out to be quite reliable. The hotel is similar to a typical business hotel in terms of amenities, but its location is excellent. You can walk straight to the bustling downtown area! This means that even if you get drunk, you can easily get back to the hotel (laughs). Another great thing is that they have a natural hot spring on site. While other business hotels may have hot springs, they often require separate bathing times for men and women, which can be inconvenient. However, this hotel has separate facilities for men and women, so you can enjoy a bath anytime you want! The natural moor hot spring here is famous for being similar to the Tokachi River hot spring. The brownish water with dissolved plants is very gentle on the skin. It is rich in natural minerals, leaving your skin smooth and soft after bathing. It is known as the "beauty bath" and is very popular among women. As for breakfast, I initially booked without meals, but decided to try the breakfast buffet. The breakfast area is not very large, but it offers a sufficient variety of dishes. Since I ate too much last night, I decided to go easy this morning. I had white rice with natto, which was delicious. The natto here is made from large soybeans, which is a rarity nowadays. Overall, the food was tasty, and the ingredients used seemed to be of high quality. I didn't want to overeat as I had other plans for the day, so I kept it moderate. After a satisfying breakfast, I checked out of the hotel.

This is the accommodation for a one-night trip to Obihiro, the "Tokachi Gardens Hotel". This is my second time staying here. Due to the timing, the accommodation fee was double compared to last time. Well, I don't think it's expensive at all. It's located near the station and the downtown area. They have a natural hot spring bath. The breakfast is delicious. This time, I stayed in a twin room on the 4th floor corner. You can see Obihiro Station from the window. The breakfast, which has a good reputation, is a buffet. It features dishes made with local ingredients. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you for your hospitality. (*^▽^*)
