This is a lunch at Ikeda Shokudo. It is a popular diner located in Onakayama, Nanairocho. The restaurant has a spacious interior with an L-shaped counter, tatami mats, and table seating. They serve a variety of noodles such as ramen, yakisoba, and soba, as well as set meals and rice bowls. They also offer a unique pizza menu with three options: tomato, egg, and mix. Despite being a traditional diner, they surprised me with their Italian dishes. I was torn between choices but ended up ordering the pork cutlet curry. The cutlet was thick and satisfying, and the curry sauce was slightly sweet. The generous portion and quality of the food were impressive. Thank you for the meal.

I think the best katsu curry around Hakodate is here. The curry is a bit spicy, but it goes perfectly with the tonkatsu and makes it even more delicious! There are also various other menu items, but I recommend starting with this katsu curry! Enjoy~ (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Today, I had katsudon because I have a severe muscle strain. The taste is all mild. It seems like the restaurant has been in business for 30 years. The rice dishes come in large portions. They kindly bring you tea. They also have pizza for families.

I've been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to try it out since I was in the area for lunch. As the name suggests, it's a dining place with a menu that leans towards cafeteria-style. The set meals are a bit on the pricey side though. I ordered the "Napolitan" for 700 yen, which I haven't had in a while. It arrived in less than 10 minutes, surprising me with the sizzling hot iron plate. The pasta was thin and soft, and the Napolitan was loaded with ingredients like squid, baby scallops, clams, ham (or bacon?), and sausage, along with onions and green peppers. The flavor was a bit tangy with a light ketchup taste, although I prefer a stronger ketchup flavor. Overall, it was a delicious Napolitan. I'm curious about trying the omurice and ramen next time. I'll definitely visit again.
