I usually only post one review a day on chappytsum. This is partly because I don't visit many places, but also because I consider the burden on those reading the reviews. Let's face it, reading reviews takes time and effort. I can't read five or six reviews in one day (laughs). But today, I will be posting two reviews for the first time in years! Why, you ask? Because it's a revisit to Furoga, so I thought it would be okay to post two reviews in one day. After all, most people just skim through them (laughs). So, here is my review of "Yayoi-no-yu Dining"! This is my third review, but I have visited many times. It's great that they open at 10 am, unlike many other hot spring facilities in Obihiro that open at 11 am. The hot spring water is a sodium chloride spring. The facility is clean, but the water pressure in the showers is weak. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are not provided, so you need to bring your own. It feels nice, but the hot spring water seems a bit thin (laughs). I drink water after bathing. Although the weather in Obihiro was cool with a high of around 25°C that day, it's important to stay hydrated. Suntory natural water costs 110 yen (tax included). It has a refreshing taste and is delicious (laughs).

I went to Yayoi no Yu for a bath after a long time at night, so I decided to have a meal there as well! Inside the restaurant, there are tatami box seats and chair seats where you can relax and eat comfortably. What I ordered: - Yayoi Ramen Set: Spicy Ramen (large) + Chachamayo Donburi + Salad (1180 yen) - Curry Rice with Pork Cutlet (780 yen) - Spicy Miso Ramen (880 yen) - Fried Potatoes (330 yen) You order at the ticket machine, show the number to the staff, and wait until your order is ready. The announcements make it easy to know when your order is ready. The Spicy Ramen was really spicy, I couldn't eat it without water haha. On a hot day, I crave spicy food, so it was worth a try! The Chachamayo Donburi was a decent size, not too small, so it's good for those with a big appetite. Ketchup, dressings, and water are self-service, so you can customize to your liking. The ability to eat slowly and comfortably at the table is the charm of this place. Thank you for the meal!

This is a dining area inside Yayoi no Yu. It is a collaboration between a restaurant in Obihiro city and Ban'ei horse racing, offering a special menu called the Ban'bai pork bowl! The Ban'bai pork bowl (1300 yen) features a large bowl with 10 slices of pork arranged beautifully. The sauce is lightly sweet and the sprinkle of pepper on top adds a nice touch. The sauce is thick and coats the meat well. The meat itself is moist and delicious! The rice was a bit on the dry side though. The miso soup contains plenty of chopped green onions and seaweed. The hot spring facility is very clean and well-maintained. The dining area is cozy with tatami seating, making it a comfortable place to relax after soaking in the hot spring.

This hot spring is my third time using it. It is conveniently located in the city of Obihiro, and most importantly, it has my favorite open-air bath, so whenever I pass by, I always stop by. On this day, after eating Genghis Khan, on my way to the accommodation, I decided to take a bath here since it was close by. Even though it is in the city, the outdoor bath is spacious, and I love the pot bath, so I soaked leisurely for an hour. My skin feels smooth and refreshed. After the bath, I replenished my fluids! I found a black vinegar drink server that I had seen at Obihiro and had the blueberry-flavored black vinegar, which is easy to drink and seeps into my dry body. It's a great deal for only 100 yen! I enjoyed a soft serve ice cream (mix of vanilla and haskap flavors) at "Yayoi no Yu Dining" in Obihiro City, Hokkaido. The restaurant is located about a 15-minute walk from Kashiwadai Station on the JR Nemuro Main Line. The dining area is situated within a day trip natural hot spring with mineral-rich hot spring water flowing directly from the source. During my stay in Hokkaido, I frequently visited this hot spring facility. After relaxing in the hot spring, I always head to the dining area to enjoy their wide variety of menu options. My favorite treat to have after soaking in the hot spring is the soft serve ice cream! The creamy texture and rich flavor of the ice cream, especially the mix of vanilla and haskap, tasted delicious after sweating it out in the sauna. I finished it in no time, savoring every bite. A post-bath bite always tastes so satisfying and delicious!

In Obihiro City, a small local city where hot springs gush out no matter where you dig. About 47% of the super public baths in the city are hot springs. Every public bath I visited in Obihiro City had hot springs. I have never come across a bathhouse that heats the water themselves. This Yayoi no Yu is also a hot spring bathhouse, but not a natural hot spring. After finishing my night shift, I came here to relax in the hot springs, followed by a sauna session and then lunch. I was torn between choosing the spicy miso ramen and the popular seafood soy sauce ramen. Since I was dining in, I had to pick up my order when called. The soup had a color similar to miso, almost like a tonkotsu broth. It was a beautifully emulsified soup, likely made from a commercial soup base with a hint of sesame oil. The noodles were completely frozen, but with plenty of toppings, I think the value for money is not bad. If you go for lunch, I recommend getting the meal pack for 350 yen, which includes both bathing and a meal.

In September 2021, I visited Yayoi no Yu for a bath. I must admit, my passion for hot springs has been waning recently. It's not that the water has lost its heat, it's just that my enthusiasm for hot springs has diminished. So, on my way back from Obihiro, I couldn't help but stop by Yayoi no Yu, which is conveniently close to my wife's parents' house. The outdoor bath here is really nice. The water is a sodium chloride spring. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, although the water pressure in the showers is a bit weak. They don't provide shampoo, conditioner, or body soap, so you'll need to bring your own. Personally, I prefer Oberiberi Onsen in Obihiro, but it's in the opposite direction and opens at 11 am, so I tend to avoid it. I really love Asahikawa, so I'm always in a rush to get back there. The yakitori here costs only 100 yen per skewer. It's a great deal for a quick bite after a bath. I prefer the tare sauce over the salt, as it has a nice sesame flavor. The meat is a bit on the soft side, like a body that's seen better days (laughs). Just like someone I know (laughs).

There is a food and drink space inside a public bath hot spring in Obihiro City, which is clean and well-maintained. Usually, I just enjoy the bath without paying much attention to this space, but today I decided to have a light meal at the request of my companion. They had a limited-time offer of hot pot udon, which is common to see in various places during this season. Priced at 650 yen, it was of decent quality and I enjoyed it.

I went to the "Yayoi no Yu" bath in Berlin in 2020♪ Bath time! The hot spring water is sodium chloride. The facility is clean, but the shower water pressure is weak. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are not provided, so you need to bring your own. The outdoor bath is labeled as 42℃, but it feels lukewarm, possibly due to the season. If you want to warm up properly, the indoor bath is recommended. After bathing, I went to the "Yayoi no Yu Dining" restaurant. The bath opens at 10 am, but the restaurant opens at 11 am. Until 11 am, the restaurant is closed, so I had a black vinegar drink, just kidding! The black vinegar drink costs 100 yen. Today's flavor is blueberry, but the blueberry taste is completely overpowered by the black vinegar. Well, they probably added it to make the black vinegar easier to drink, so I can't complain... I feel like I've become a little healthier.(*'-')b OK!

Went to an Indian hot spring without a plan and searched for "day trip hot spring" - found a place for 440 yen that feels like a super public bath. Bought towels and soap at Daiso and arrived around 4 pm, wondering if it would be crowded. Managed to find a seat in the washing area and enjoyed the outdoor bath with a TV! Rented a bath towel for 100 yen. On the way back, didn't want to pay for the highway toll so changed the navigation settings. Followed a truck closely from Higashimoro to Atsuma. Stopped for gas in Atsuma and found another truck to follow until Ribetsu. Only encountered 5 cars and deer from Ribetsu to Tsukubetsu. Proved that even someone who is not good at driving can go on a day trip, so let's plan better next time!

Komatsu-san has a new favorite, a guy who's currently looking for a partner, and his laugh is quite distinctive. Today, we tried a dish we hadn't had before - cold noodles. Komatsu-san and the guy both ordered the cold noodles with broth. After waiting about 5 minutes, our number was called! Ta-da! The presentation was so authentic. The toppings were neatly arranged. Let's dig in! Mmm, it goes down smoothly. The ham is the best part. And today's conversation topic was... about Tabelog (a restaurant review site). We had a lively discussion for about 30 minutes. This is Yayoi no Yu, a hot spring located near Super Ichimaru and Kaiten Sushi Nagoyakatei Kashirin-dai store on Yayoi Shindo. It is a popular bathhouse with natural spring water flowing in, and it is quite crowded. I relaxed in the open-air bath while watching TV. As for dinner, I was considering sushi or yakiniku nearby, but the dining options within the facility were great, so I decided to eat there. I bought the "Yayoi Ramen Set for 950 yen" from the ticket machine, which included pork bowl, salad, and ramen. I chose the rich seafood soy sauce ramen, which looked delicious. The bowl had "Yayoi no Yu" written on it. The soup had a strong seafood flavor, the noodles were slightly soft, the chashu was tender, the bamboo shoots were flavorful, and there was also wakame seaweed. The seasoned egg was also authentic. The pork in the pork bowl was simmered and grilled shoulder loin with a generous amount of black pepper and chopped green onions on top. The sauce was sweet without any bitterness, and the rice was cooked perfectly. It was a satisfying meal set for a hot spring facility. I wish I could have had a beer if I wasn't driving. It was a happy night with a warm body and a full stomach. Thank you for the meal.

It was a long time since I visited Obihiro, and now I'm heading back... I still prefer Tokachi, I don't want to leave... But, since this is Keipon, you probably won't be satisfied without a bath review, right? So, I'll stop by a hot spring on my way back. Today, I visited Memuro, at "Yumooru Kawakita", but it seems they are no longer in business. This guy's restaurant choices are laughable. Back in Obihiro, I went to "Yayoi no Yu", it costs 440 yen and seems to be popular. The TV area was crowded with people. The Fighters are losing, if they lose today it will be a big deal. Is Ohtani pitching tomorrow? Even if they win, can they make it to the Japan Series focusing on Ohtani? While I was in the bath, I caught up with the game. As soon as I got out of the bath, Kondo hit a 2-run RBI and now they're 3 runs behind. But it's still the 5th inning. I'll resist the urge to celebrate with beer and settle for soft serve ice cream. People were everywhere, and the hot spring was nothing special. Even the sauna and outdoor bath had a TV, so we caught up with the game where the Fighters were catching up and taking the lead. It was chaotic both inside and outside the bath. But seriously, those who don't rinse off their sweat before entering the cold water bath really annoy me. It's disgusting! The soft serve ice cream cost 290 yen, which is reasonable. The staff here are very pleasant, with a genuine smile and a nice "thank you" at the end. The soft serve was smooth and quite creamy, with a mild sweetness and a hint of milk and cream. It was delicious. The bath itself was nothing special, and it was overcrowded, so even though the soft serve was good, I'm done with this place...

Taxi fare saving strategy! (bitter smile) I picked up a friend for a casual drink and drop off. The friend has to work at 6:30 am, so it was quite a task. On the way to pick them up, we decided to have a bath and meal at the dining area inside Yayoi no Yu. First, we stored our shoes in the locker, bought bathing tickets (440 yen for adults) from the ticket machine, and proceeded to the front desk. Next, we used the food ticket vending machine to select what we wanted to eat. Looking back at the photos later, we saw there was a bath + ramen combo for 1000 yen (available at the ticket machine in front of the front desk). I had the popular rich seafood soy sauce ramen for 690 yen and enjoyed it with a little bit of drinking (let's just say that). Surprisingly, my friend ordered the ramen set for 930 yen, choosing miso ramen and shrimp fried rice verbally. I wanted to try the "Yayoi Ramen Set" for 950 yen (choice of ramen, mini pork bowl, salad), but due to the upcoming pick-up at around 8 pm, I refrained from indulging in additional carbs. We received a number ticket and waited for our order at the table we secured. After about 5 minutes, we went to the counter to pick up our orders. We took the ladle and chopsticks from the counter, and returned to our table to enjoy the meal. Just when I was about to start, a staff member brought a small serving of rice, saying it was a limited-time offer. I didn't order the pork bowl, so I was both happy and indifferent about it. My seafood soy sauce ramen had a base of pork and chicken bones, simmered with various vegetables for hours, resulting in a quite rich soup. The fish broth was quite orthodox, like diluting a store-bought dipping noodle soup with a base soup. For a dining area like this, it was quite good, but not quite up to the level of a specialty shop. I added the rice they brought me, and it tasted as expected. My friend's miso ramen had a prominent sweetness from the miso. Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the fried rice. I was curious about the customers at a bathhouse dining area, and noticed quite a few people ordering soft serve ice cream or mini parfaits! As for the bath, the public bathhouse opened by Asano Camera Do in March 2011 focused more on variety than hot spring quality, so if you're not picky about the water quality, you can enjoy various baths. While soaking in what seemed like a natural hot spring bath, I didn't feel warm from the inside even after 10 minutes. The 3 minutes for 10 yen hairdryer was a plus point (some public baths in Obihiro city charge 30 yen for 3 minutes!). After finishing our meal and bath, we returned home to just sleep, which felt like pure bliss. Thank you for the meal~
