After leaving the heavy rain Northern Sake Festival in Kitahiroshima, I returned to Sapporo. My shoes are completely soaked. It's been 2 days and they still won't dry. In Sapporo, I tried to go to karaoke, but everywhere was fully booked with over an hour wait. Is this a return to pre-COVID times? In the midst of this, I stumbled upon a karaoke place with an empty seat. It was 5 PM. The staff went from working alone to having two or three people on shift. I tried beer for the first time today, served in a fancy glass. The appetizer was homemade sesame tofu, a harmonious blend of sesame and tofu. Delicious. I ordered egg and chicken wings for oden. The broth was flavorful. The potato salad had an interesting presentation, with a unique combination of smoked cheese and cream cheese. I've never seen smoked cheese take the spotlight like this before. Personally, I prefer more cream cheese. The place was getting crowded, so I left. Thank you for the meal.

I ended up having lunch around Sapporo Station due to various circumstances. While wandering around, I was intrigued by this restaurant and decided to go in. I felt like I had consumed too much fat at the Autumn Fest the day before, so I wanted something light, and chose pork shabu-shabu. When the set was placed in front of me, I was a bit surprised. The dipping sauce seemed to be just broth? And there was so little of it! I was expecting ponzu or sesame sauce, as that's what I had experienced at a shabu-shabu restaurant in Kyoto. I started picking up the meat with chopsticks from the plate, and realized there was actually more meat than it appeared. The meat was packed tightly together with hardly any space in between. When I tried a piece of meat dipped in the sauce, I found the fat to be quite strong. The meat was so thin that it lacked texture, and seemed unsuitable for shabu-shabu. However, the yuzu pepper managed to mask some of the fat. I couldn't remember what to do with the green onions that came as a side. In Kyoto, I had put them in the broth, so I tried that, but it didn't seem to go well. Putting them in the pot along with the meat turned out to be the right choice. By eating it this way, the fat didn't bother me as much. Maybe I got used to it? There was a mysterious spoon before the serving bowl. Was I supposed to drink the broth from the pot? After finishing all the ingredients, I poured the remaining broth from the pot into the dipping sauce bowl, and drank it with the spoon. The fat was still strong, but surprisingly, it had a refreshing taste and was enjoyable. Hmm, maybe one more serving?

Hello everyone! After having a party nearby, let's take a leisurely walk on a late summer night and head to "Sakanabi Yoi Narayoshi" for a drink. Let's sit on the high-legged stools and decide what to drink. Although this place is focused on sake, I tend to get a bit tipsy easily, so I'll go for the Southern Beauty Yuzu Lemon Sour. The sesame tofu appetizer here is really delicious. This place is known for its solid food offerings, and their happy hour set until 5 PM is excellent. But looking at the evening menu, there are quite a lot of enticing options. If you're craving delicious snacks and sake near the South Exit of the station, I highly recommend it! Thank you for the meal!

I was invited to a casual drink at this place for the second round. I had been here once before moving, but now that I've moved here, it feels like an away game for me who always drinks in Susukino. Let's start with a light drink! I chose the "Oze's Snow Melt Mountain Grape Sake". It's delicious! It tastes like juice. It's only 8% alcohol, so it can't be helped, but the name "mountain grape" is perfect, unlike wine. And I love sake, so I also ordered the "Tetorigawa Dry Autumn Sake". I'm happy to be able to drink it at this price. This is a really nice place. The only downside is that the stools are stylish but uncomfortable to sit on.

Enjoyed soba and beer at "Ikkyu", then attended a lecture by Chizuko Ueno at HBC Hokkaido Cultural Academy and met up with friends. Had Italian appetizers and beer at "La Giostra". Visited "Namarayoshi" for the first time since they moved from the north to the south side of Sapporo Station. Sat at the counter at 6pm on a Saturday, ordered drinks and some snacks. Tried the Oze snowmelt mountain grape sake and the sweet potato shochu on the rocks. Cheers! Had some sesame tofu as an appetizer. Then enjoyed various items from the oden menu. Also tried the beef sinew stewed in oden broth. Surprised by the oden broth rolled egg! Relaxed and played Pokémon GO raid with a friend. Finally caught a Rayquaza on the 4th try. Celebrated with wine next to us. Spent 1.5 hours there and paid a total of 3690 yen for two people.

This izakaya goes beyond the typical Italian bar atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of sake and plenty of delicious dishes to pair with it. They even have appetizers that remind you of Hokkaido. In particular, the assorted plate of 5 different types of appetizers was exciting to look at and delicious to eat. It paired well with the drinks and was really good.

Since moving, Mr. Nama has been doing well♪ The quality of the daytime drinking is still high~ The atmosphere inside the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming. I ordered the following: - Daytime drinking set (1500 yen) with small draft beer - Daikon radish oden (280 yen) - Chicken meatball oden (200 yen) - Grilled chicken (450 yen) The daytime drinking set alone was satisfying with delicious small dishes like drooling chicken, firefly squid, sea urchin tofu, nanban pickles, jellyfish, and more. Everything was delicious! I also ordered oden this day, and the chewy daikon radish was delicious! This is a great restaurant to visit again. Thank you for the meal~

I was looking for a place in Sapporo to have a daytime drink and ended up here. There were many options that caught my eye, but I decided to try it because I wanted to enjoy Japanese sake. The guinomi set includes a selection of 5 appetizers and one glass of sake, as well as a sake tasting set of three different types. Isn't that like heaven!? The assortment of appetizers includes marinated tuna, chicken ham, simmered clams, jellyfish in soy sauce, sea urchin tofu, and koji. The food is delicious too. The drink selection is also extensive! I don't remember much about the taste as I was quite drunk, but I would like to go back again.

The location is convenient right in front of the station. The interior is clean and has a calm atmosphere. However, be careful if you're drunk as the chairs are high with no backrest... it could be dangerous if you flip over. But this place is not the type where you drink like that, so it should be okay, haha. It's a sake-focused restaurant with mostly Chinese-style snacks. Lots of cilantro! It would be even better if there were more sashimi or raw dishes to go with the sake, as there were many cooked dishes and that was a bit lacking. However, the daikon radish in the Namara Jiman oden was incredibly flavorful, and the mountain wasabi roll was explosively spicy, so I was satisfied in various ways. The sake was a bit pricey for the amount, and I was recommended an even more expensive sake not on the menu halfway through... ended up spending over 7000 yen alone.

In 2023, a cozy place near JR Sapporo Station with no breaks in between, open for lunchtime drinking at "Namarayoshi". The interior is stylish and remains the same as before the move from PASEO. Limited until 5 pm, they offer two affordable lunchtime drinking sets: 1) Lunch drinking set for 1500 yen (assorted appetizers/2 drinks) 2) Sake cup set for 1900 yen (assorted appetizers/1 drink/sake tasting). After 3 pm, there is an additional table charge of 450 yen. Even though it's a sake-focused place, I don't drink sake, so I went for the "Lunch drinking set" with beer. An unexpected combination was the "Simmered Mackerel and Kiwi" appetizer, with 5 assorted dishes that go well with alcohol. The second drink was a "Namaracham Highball", with strong shochu and tea flavors in a lovely glass. Thank you for the meal!

I went for lunch for the first time since the restaurant moved! Unfortunately, one person had to drive so no alcohol for them. I happily enjoyed some drinks and appetizers. Just looking at the variety of small dishes made me happy. This restaurant has been a favorite even before the move, so it felt good to be back. My friend tried the Gatatan Ramen for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! It's a must-try at Namara Yoshi. Next time, we'll go when everyone can drink and take our time. Thank you for the meal!

"Namarayoshi" is a place to enjoy the atmosphere. It's winter now. Two weeks ago, I could ride on paved roads as long as I was careful on the mountain passes, but today I had to ride on icy roads all the way from Abashiri to Sapporo. There were parts where it felt more like a skating rink than a road, and I was really tired. From Tohkari to Takanosu, it's a single lane road, but some people drive so slow, like horse-drawn carriages, at around 50 km/h. If you can't drive fast, why not take the side road? Those who veer to the right when turning left, give back your license! I had to drive for over 30 minutes longer than usual, and I was really tired. After eating ramen, I will take a bus to the city to buy a Christmas present for my grandson, gloves. After buying the gloves, I will meet up with my grandson's father and one more person for dinner. We decided to buy the gloves at a suburban store because the sports stores in the city are not carrying gloves at this time of year. It was past 5 o'clock, but we moved to the store recommended by a friend and waited for my grandson's father. When my husband arrived earlier than expected, we met up at the first place and then moved to the next place after he had a drink. The reservation for the table was made by a woman at the first place, which was helpful. This place was busier than the first one. When I ordered a beer, I got the same Premium Malt as the first place but in a glass. The glass made it taste better, but I couldn't drink too many like this. Well, thankfully, the food wasn't that good, so I didn't feel like drinking too much. I was curious about the oden on the menu, so I ordered the daikon radish, mochi pouch, and beef tendon. The daikon radish was disappointingly lukewarm. The mochi pouch was too thin, and the beef tendon was just okay. It was finally something decent. The oden was all about the broth, but this one didn't meet the minimum requirement of being hot. The daikon radish was so lukewarm that it felt almost cold. The mochi pouch was too thin, and the broth was cheap. The beef tendon was a bit warmer, but still not hot enough. The taste was just okay, nothing special. This place must have a different clientele who don't care much about the broth in oden. The pork bowl was good, juicy, and cheap, which was a nice change. I ordered the zangi, which I like. It was bigger than the previous place, and the meat had a good cheap feel to it. It didn't show any juiciness, it was just dry. I wanted to order the pork bowl after my son-in-law said it was delicious and my grandson asked for seconds, but my husband refused. He said it wasn't bad but not delicious. He said we didn't have to force ourselves to order more since we were going to the next place. The prices felt high, and in the end, it was just about the atmosphere. Unfortunately, it seems like a place that is all about the ambiance. Well, I know where we're going next. I know, I won't go to this group of restaurants again, to avoid causing trouble for the establishment.

This shop, which moved from Paseo to the first floor of Kitaco Trade Building, is conveniently accessed through the "Sapporo Station Subway 19th Exit" if you want to go through the underground from the station. The lunch menu is available until 3 pm, and the dinner menu is available from 3 pm onwards. You can order the "Guinomi Set" and "Day Drinking Set" until 5 pm. The "Guinomi Set" (1,900 yen) includes a selection of 5 appetizers, 1 drink, and a tasting of 3 types of sake. The drink I chose was the "Bijoubu Yuzu & Sansho Sour". The appetizer assortment was quickly served, including items like black clam and salmon sashimi, which were particularly good. For the sake tasting, I chose three types from a selection of 13, focusing on relatively dry options. With the additional order of "Hatata's Inari Sushi" (480 yen) and "Hoya Shio-ko" (420 yen), both of which paired well with sake, the total experience was quite enjoyable. The shop offers a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy sake and appetizers at a reasonable price.

After the pre-opening, this was my first visit. Oh, it seems like they have fewer kinds of sake now...? The drink menu is a bit hard to read too, although it looks stylish. Anyway, I ordered some sake and oden. The appetizer was daikon and konjac mixed together, which was an unusual combination. The taste of the oden was the same as before. I also ordered the recommended spare ribs with black pepper and the steamed matsutake mushroom. It wasn't very crowded, but there was a moment when the orders seemed to stop, maybe they are short-staffed? The spare ribs were delicious! But the steamed matsutake mushroom was just okay... I wish the evening set menu was a bit more fulfilling.

Since moving to this area, I have always wanted to have a casual drink, and when I saw the lunch menu posted at the entrance of the restaurant, I noticed they had a menu item that brought back memories, so I decided to visit for lunch. I ordered the Chinese Chirashi for 880 yen. It was slightly different from what I had before, with a thick and sweet sauce (half-cooked eggs). It was delicious! The dish included seafood, pork, and vegetables, which are common ingredients in Chinese Chirashi. I am happy that I can enjoy this dish in Sapporo, and I look forward to visiting again for both lunch and dinner. Thank you for the meal! (^o^)

I visited the restaurant as it has been relocated and reopened. The interior seems a bit smaller than before. The menu has also gone up in price a bit, but it's understandable given the current situation. This place is great for sake lovers, as they offer a variety of unique sake options. From appetizers to full meals, the food here is delicious. I hope they bring back the dinner set menu they used to have.

2-1-2 Kita Court Building 1F, Kita 4-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Located on the south side of "ESTA", directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. A sake bar located on the 1st floor of the building just outside exit 19 of Sapporo Station subway. Previously located in JR Sapporo Station's "PASEO", both Budo Hiyo Yoinokuchi and Sakanahiyo Namarayoshi have relocated here. Just like before, the two shops are connected inside, allowing customers to move between them. It's nice to be able to hop between the two. Visited with a friend. Had wine at Yoinokuchi before moving. The interior has a counter seat configuration in a "C" shape surrounding the kitchen space. There are also several table seats. * Tasting set of 3 kinds of rice wine for 1780 yen Three small glass sake cups lined up on a wooden base, each with an illustration card identifying the type. Additionally, they provided one more kind as a service, so we got to try four types. Very much appreciated. * Oden Daikon = Large portion, thoroughly soaked inside. Easy to cut with chopsticks. Delicious. Egg and Beef Tendon = I thought it would be on a skewer, but it came in a plate with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Also delicious. Jako Tempura = Thin, yet with a strong bounce. Packed with plenty of jako, the umami flavor comes through. * Tekka Maki = Tuna is generously filled, visually appealing. Unfortunately, the rice was a bit mushy. * Tochio Aburaage = A specialty of Tochio, with green onion miso sandwiched in between. Crispy and light, the green onion miso adds a nice flavor, perfect as a sake accompaniment. From wine to sake, and from sake to wine. Can't help but want to try both.
