On a certain holiday, I visited a yakiniku restaurant in Omasa Shimmachi, Ebetsu City, where I had bookmarked for lunch. The parking lot seemed spacious enough to park in front of the shop. The interior of the restaurant was not very large, with 3 raised tables and 1 regular table... Wait, there's more seating in the area next to the entrance from the back, and next to that, there is a store selling meats and other items, which was an interesting setup. The background music playing was from an AM radio. From the menu on that day, I decided to go for the reasonably priced all-you-can-eat lunch option for 1,650 yen... Wait, is it single staff operation? The waitress advised me, "Lunch is a good deal right now..." so I decided to try the "Lunch Hormone 5 kinds all-you-can-eat & soft drinks all-you-can-drink (1,100 yen)." Oh, the shichirin grill has arrived! The meat cooks quickly without making much sizzling sound. Let's take a bite... The "pork guts" was a new experience for me. It was a bit difficult to tell when it was cooked due to its chewy texture, which was surprising. The taste was not very strong, so the sweetness of the sauce stood out. The "tongue meat" was thick and had a satisfying texture, with a light umami flavor. The "pork intestines" were what I imagine as typical hormone meat, but it had a light taste, making it easy to eat and surprisingly good! It was cut into small pieces, and the combination with the sauce was perfect, making it the best among the dishes this time. The "beef heart" had a large cut that looked like liver at first, and it had a strong chewy texture. It had a slightly liver-like flavor and a wild taste in some parts. The last to arrive was the "pork liver," which had a shiny appearance and was also cut into relatively large pieces. It had little liver smell and was easy to eat. I decided to have seconds of the pork intestines, which had a reliable and consistent taste. It was a bit challenging to swallow quickly when I put a lot in my mouth at once ( ̄▽ ̄;). The cabbage with salt sauce, part of the all-you-can-eat menu, had a strong salt sauce with a hint of pepper, and the rice was decent. Finally, I finished with the all-you-can-drink cold oolong tea. Suddenly, I realized that, perhaps by chance, the restaurant was operated by a single staff member, and the overall impression of the restaurant was rough, but the astonishing price of 1,100 yen for all-you-can-eat lunch was surprising! As someone who doesn't usually eat yakiniku, I didn't have much of a problem, and I particularly enjoyed the intestines. Thank you for the meal.
