I had some free time so I contacted my daughter, who was having dinner, and she joined me for a drink. This was our second round. It was her first time visiting. She enjoyed being able to eat an appropriate amount of kushikatsu. The doteyaki was consistently delicious and became her favorite. Thank you for the meal.

Located near the subway station in the Namba area of North 12th Street in November 2022, this Osaka-style deep-fried skewers and oden restaurant offers a wide selection of Japanese sake in the refrigerated shochu display case. With a strong alcohol content, the highball (420 yen) will definitely get you drunk. The appetizer of fresh cabbage (300 yen) is sweet and delicious. The Kansai-style oden dish, "Ito Konnyaku" (120 yen), is served in a small bowl with a very light flavor that may not suit everyone's taste buds. The skewers start from 90 yen and are served with a special sauce. Remember, double dipping is not allowed! Overall, it's a cheap and casual dining option that is worth trying. Thank you for the meal! (^ω^)

The pork fillet and kushikatsu were surprisingly good and reasonably priced at around 1000 yen for all-you-can-drink.

In Sapporo's Kita-ku, there is a restaurant called Kushi Katsu Hana. It is located near the subway Namboku Line Kita 12-jo Station. I'm not sure if it's popular among Hokkaido University students. I went with some coworkers, so I'm not sure what we ordered. We ordered a variety of dishes. Overall, I think it was just delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Marutaka Ramen is located right next to this place. Since it's in a convenient location, it seems to attract a lot of Hokkaido University students. They used to offer a set with all-you-can-drink and 5 skewers, but now it's reservation-only which is a bit disappointing. The menu mainly consists of skewers, and they also have a variety of a la carte options. You write down your order on a paper provided on the table. The prices are reasonable for skewers, but not extremely cheap. The skewers take a bit of time to come out, usually a little later than you might expect. The classic skewers are delicious, but they also have a menu item called "bakudan" which is actually a half-cooked egg, not a skewer, but it's surprisingly tasty. I recommend trying it. One of the tasty a la carte options is the grilled chicken liver with yuzu pepper. It goes really well with beer. If you opt for the all-you-can-drink option, the bill comes out to around 3000 yen per person. Individual drinks are a bit pricey, so I suggest going for the all-you-can-drink option if you plan on drinking.

- Cheese, pickled ginger, eggplant, shiitake mushroom, and assorted skewers, accompanied by a Sapporo Classic draft beer. The skewers are lightly breaded and crispy, although I personally prefer a bit more flavor in the breading. I enjoy pickled ginger, but I've never had it with skewers before, so it was a nice experience (and of course, delicious)! The total cost for 5 skewers and a draft beer was 1,200 yen, which is reasonable. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Now, I think I'll head to "Chinman" nearby for another drink.

I visited the second party with a friend. The restaurant isn't very spacious, but it's just the right atmosphere for a little chat. The individual skewers and garlic onion chicken wings were delicious! I wish they had more types of sake. I was interested in dishes like oden, tonpei-yaki, and curry hot pot, but I was too full to try them. I will come back again!

I visited a kushikatsu restaurant with my colleagues. The atmosphere was very lively and cozy, although the chairs were not very comfortable for long periods of sitting. They offer a set menu of 5 skewers and all-you-can-drink if you make a reservation in advance. The skewers were slightly over-fried, but still delicious and went well with drinks. The pork belly and avocado skewers were particularly tasty. The doteyaki was incredibly delicious. I couldn't try the tonpeiyaki this time, but I will definitely order it next time. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I went to Hanasan, a kushikatsu restaurant in the Hokkaido University area. This time, I drove there. The exterior is plain, but the bright red noren of "Authentic Osaka Kushikatsu" stands out. Upon opening the sliding door and entering the restaurant, I noticed the mosaic decoration of the restaurant's name in the windbreak room, which was a nice touch. Another impressive detail is the wall separating the ceiling, floor, and kitchen. The ceiling was deliberately arched using stainless steel, giving it a barracks-like feel reminiscent of a Self-Defense Force building. The wooden wall was also intentionally designed to create a barracks atmosphere. The intricate interior design is something that design and architecture enthusiasts would appreciate. This time, I visited with my wife to enjoy some kushikatsu. We decided to go with the "Chef's Choice 10 Skewers" option. Starting with pork belly, we had various skewers including kisu (fish), chikuwa (tube-shaped fish paste), lotus root, quail eggs, onion, avocado, conger eel, squid, cheese, shiitake mushroom, garlic, bamboo shoot, meatball, shrimp toast, and more. The sauce, labeled as "Authentic," was delicious and we were not allowed to double-dip. The freshly fried skewers were crispy and very tasty. Each vegetable skewer, like asparagus, allowed us to taste the distinct flavor of the vegetables. The thickness of the batter was just right, providing a satisfying crunch. The prices were reasonable, and we ended up ordering more. The vegetable skewers were particularly delicious. The oden was also tasty. We had daikon radish, beef tendon, thick fried tofu, and of course, boiled eggs. The large beef tendon pieces were surprisingly generous and easy to eat. The Kansai-style oden was delightful. The beef tendon was especially impressive in terms of flavor. My wife particularly enjoyed the Doteyaki (beef sinew and konjac simmered in miso for 400 yen). It was a delightful dish that we don't often come across in Sapporo. The sake (Sunchu Hachisaku) was flowing (laughs). Although the restaurant's rating on Tabelog is average, I personally would rate it above 3.5. The service from Ishikawa-san in the kitchen and the female staff on the floor was excellent. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again. We had a delicious meal once again. Thank you very much.

I was introduced by a colleague and went to this place! I had tried kushikatsu in Osaka before, but it was my first time in Sapporo! I went with 5 girls to try the curry hot pot and we were all very satisfied. The rumors were true - it's a cozy and lively place. It's a great place for a group, even with kids. When we tried to order, we were told to write down our kushikatsu choices on an order form. The side dishes were also listed on a paper on the table. The initial explanation from the female staff was a bit unfriendly... I wish they had explained it at the beginning. The kushikatsu had a variety of options and they were delicious when freshly fried! You can't double dip in the sauce, but they taste good with just salt. They had interesting items like banana kushikatsu that caught our attention. The sauce was lighter than expected. The curry hot pot was average, nothing special. It lacked spiciness, but it was good for sharing and eating together. For 5 girls, we had 3-4 kushikatsu each, salad, and 2 servings of curry hot pot (with ramen) - it was a satisfying meal. The drinks were reasonably priced, with many unique chu-hai options, but the mixers were all too watery (laughs). Beer and plum wine are recommended. We used a half-price drink coupon and were told it's for about 2 hours, but luckily we were able to stay for nearly 3 hours. We spent a little over 2,000 yen per person and left with full stomachs! We saved room for the hot pot this time, so next time I want to focus on the kushikatsu!

I was taken to this restaurant by my female friend. It was Friday night and the tables were full. It seemed like they were rotating customers every 2-3 hours, so by the time we left (around 9pm), there were empty seats. The prices for the kushikatsu started at 80 yen per skewer, which was really cheap! We used a coupon for drinks too, so it was a good deal. The kushikatsu was delicious - crispy and freshly fried. I wanted to try all the different kinds. I definitely want to go back again. In the back, there were some office workers having a great time, and I couldn't help but think it would be fun to join them (laughs). But I was too busy enjoying my kushikatsu to worry about anything else.

If you walk 10 minutes north from Sapporo Station, you will arrive at Hanakatsu, a retro-style kushikatsu restaurant that gives off a downtown vibe. At first, I thought the name was "Kushikatsu Hanakatsu" with a rising intonation, but it was actually "Kushikatsu Hana." I had heard about Osaka cuisine in advance, so I was a bit confused! The interior of the restaurant has a homey feel, with about 5 counter seats and 8 table seats. We enjoyed our meal at the counter seats. When we arrived, there were noticeable empty seats, but the atmosphere gradually became lively, with Kansai dialects flying around here and there. It seems to be a popular restaurant. We started with kushikatsu and tried various types. They were all crispy! In particular, my girlfriend really liked the tonpei kushikatsu.

The interior design successfully mixes nostalgia with modern elements, creating a chaotic yet retro atmosphere reminiscent of a school festival stall, a downtown area, or a foreign bar. The handsome master from Nishinomiya and the charming part-time female staff add a welcoming and lively vibe to the place. The customers are mainly students and middle-aged men related to Hokkaido, with a rare specialty of "Osaka cuisine" and "curry hot pot." The menu offers a variety of B-grade dishes that are both delicious and affordable, such as a wide selection of kushikatsu and authentic takoyaki. The atmosphere is relaxing yet lively, with a unique selection of shochu and sake. The location near Kita 12-jo Station adds to the charm of this rare gem in Sapporo, perfect for reminiscing about student life and gaining a boost of energy.

This is a skewer and katsu izakaya near Kita-Senri in the Kita district. You can enjoy the taste of Osaka here. They also serve the popular curry hot pot that was in trend at the time. Of course, they have a wide variety of Osaka-style teppanyaki dishes as well. You can have affordable banquets here. The restaurant itself is small, and it can get quite crowded with 20 people. The age group here is mostly young people, with a few older customers dining alone. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby, so it might be a good place to enjoy Japanese flavors. The curry hot pot had a Japanese-style broth, but the curry flavor was a bit weak. Perhaps it was overshadowed by the other dishes, and it lacked a bit of spiciness.

This retro-style restaurant, known for its curry hot pot, is a sister store of a famous Osaka restaurant. Here, you can enjoy Osaka gourmet dishes such as authentic kushikatsu, takoyaki, and Kansai-style oden. The kushikatsu starts at 80 yen per skewer and there are value sets available, but remember that double-dipping is not allowed! They are served with a light special sauce that complements the crispy coating. The menu also includes unique items like melty egg bombs and bananas with a choice of chocolate or caramel. The side dishes other than fried items are pretty standard. They offer a wide selection of authentic shochu, including popular brands.

It is close to Subway 12-Jo Station. Since it is Subway Kita 12-Jo, it is not a location in a bustling area, so the number of people coming here may be limited. I was introduced to this place by a friend who occasionally goes there. The female owner with a Kansai dialect is entertaining to listen to. Kushikatsu is not very familiar to Hokkaido people. I tried it here for the first time a few years ago. There is a rule of no double dipping in the sauce (they will remind you many times haha). This time, we visited with 7-8 people. The casual and laid-back atmosphere is still there. In addition to kushikatsu, we ordered the popular curry hot pot. The kushikatsu seems to be authentic, satisfying even those from Osaka. The dipping sauce was lighter than I imagined, making it easy to eat more skewers. Personally, I thought the katsu was delicious. I ended up eating many skewers. The curry hot pot was just okay, maybe because I had high expectations. It had a mild and subtle spiciness, leaning towards a family-friendly curry-flavored hot pot. This is one of the few places where you can enjoy authentic Osaka cuisine.

Great!! First of all, the prices are reasonable. You can order kushi-katsu (deep-fried skewers) by the piece ☆ "Doteyaki" was something I tried for the first time in Hokkaido - it made me feel nostalgic for Osaka. My friend who was with me was like, "What is 'Doteyaki'?" ☆ Doteyaki ☆ is simmered beef tendon in miso. The menu had "ate" written on it, which was also nostalgic - "ate" means appetizer or snack. Of course, you can't double-dip the kushi-katsu!! My friend thought the sauce would be thick like tonkatsu sauce, but it's not!!! It's a thin liquid sauce. The asparagus was too big to pick up, so they provided a separate sauce to pour over it. Everything was crispy and delicious. They also had takoyaki on the menu. I tried curry nabe for the first time, and the portion was generous - just for two people, we were already full and couldn't eat anything else. But we still managed to finish the shime (finishing dish) ramen (which can also be served with rice). The ingredients included chikuwa, hanpen, pork, cabbage... that kind of stuff. Wow, this is what curry nabe is like. I even tried making it at home. They had a variety of alcohol options like sake, shochu, plum wine, etc. I will definitely go back here soon. I really liked it.
