This was my first visit to Tsukiro-san. I arrived around 2 pm and had to wait outside for about 15 minutes due to the popularity of the restaurant. I ordered the curry udon with tempura, and it was delicious. The thick noodles and flavorful curry were a perfect match, and the tempura was also very tasty.

At Kitakaga-ya, a famous restaurant in the Tsukirou area, there was already a line of five groups waiting at 11:40. I started with the cold chicken tempura udon, which costs 960 yen for 1.5 servings. The noodles had a nice firm texture and the broth was rich with a strong flavor of bonito and soy sauce. The chopped red pickled ginger on top of the juicy chicken tempura added a nice touch. The staff, consisting of three women, were very attentive and caring. It's no wonder this place is popular!

A shop that I visit regularly when I have the chance. The unique red pickled ginger on the crispy fried chicken is a standout feature. The dish includes both breast and thigh meat, each offering a different taste and texture. The noodles are firm but not too chewy, with a smooth and satisfying texture. The owner and staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with their friendly smiles and excellent service.

On a national holiday Monday at 7:45pm, there were 4 groups waiting, with waits of 10, 20, 30 minutes... waited quite a bit (; ;) Well, it's no wonder. The inside of the restaurant is small and remained full until we left. I ordered the cold udon with sudachi for 700 yen (free extra noodles up to 2 servings). I definitely pushed myself to eat 2 servings, even if it's a bit much (^^;; Surprisingly, it arrived in about 5 minutes. Wow, the bowl for 2 servings is huge! The cold broth is delicious! I can gulp it down easily. Adding the sudachi and green onions, it's so good! The cold broth alone fills you up, but the udon noodles have a firm texture, definitely Sanuki udon (since it's cold). The uneven noodles are nice, smooth and firm. But you can't eat it forever. I'm full, thank you for the meal. Outside the restaurant, there were still 3-4 groups waiting. I'll come back again, while they still have the cold udon available.

I'm a beginner when it comes to udon, and although I've been to this restaurant a few times before, this is my first time posting on Tabelog since I started. Today, I arrived 10 minutes before the Saturday opening at 11 am and I was the 5th group in line. I was able to get in during the first round! After some thought, I decided to go with the Special Tsukemen Curry Udon, Raw Soy Sauce Bento Set with Mixed Rice, and Chikuwa Tempura. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes. First, I tried the raw soy sauce with green onions and grated daikon radish with sudachi on top. The udon noodles were a bit thinner than the average thickness, with a smooth and slightly chewy texture. They were not overly chewy, but just right. The raw soy sauce base was refreshing for the summer, with a slight bitterness from the grated daikon radish. There are two types of curry udon, but I always go for the special one. The curry udon had a standard taste, with a hint of sweetness and mild spiciness. I like to add some shichimi spice for extra heat towards the end. The chikuwa tempura had a mild flavor at first, but it became more pronounced as I chewed. I really love the mixed rice here, with plenty of finely chopped ingredients. The broth was just right, not too strong or too light, making the mixed rice a satisfying main dish on its own. The soft-boiled egg tempura had a runny yolk that was delightfully gooey. Overall, it was another delicious meal today! Thank you for the meal!

I had udon for lunch at Tsuki-rou in Kitagaya, and it had been a while since I last visited. I always used to order the tempura bukkake udon, so this time I tried the cold tempura udon. Since you can get 2 servings of udon for the same price, I decided to go for 2 servings. The tempura toppings included shrimp, pumpkin, seaweed, and shiso, all freshly fried and crispy. The udon was served cold. I couldn't remember the last time I had cold udon, but it was delicious. I arrived just before the restaurant opened, so I was able to eat right away, but more and more people kept coming in as I was eating. It's definitely a popular spot!

This is an udon shop located in a shopping street. They are famous for their chicken tempura udon and you can also choose rice as a side dish. The udon noodles have a smooth texture and taste delicious. The portion size is quite generous, and you can get a satisfying lunch for under 1000 yen. It was a high cost-performance meal. Thank you for the meal.

On the way to the client's place, I decided to have lunch at a udon restaurant that had high ratings on Tabelog. When I arrived, there were about 3 people waiting, so I wrote my name on the board and waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. The interior of the restaurant felt quite old and traditional. It was a small place, so it seemed to fill up quickly. I looked at the menu and decided to try the "Chicken Tempura Udon" for the first time. I ordered 1.5 servings of noodles, with the option to increase to 2 servings for free. The price for 1.5 servings was 960 yen. The chicken tempura was made with chicken thigh meat and pickled ginger, which was quite unique. I tried the tempura before the noodles, and found the chicken a bit tough and the ginger-flavored batter wasn't to my liking. Moving on to the noodles, they had a nice texture - not too firm or too soft, just right. The broth was gentle and tasty, but it seemed to become watery halfway through, possibly due to the moisture from the noodles and the generous amount of grated radish. I prefer a stronger broth for udon, but this one was more subtle. I ordered 1.5 servings, which was filling enough, but I could have probably managed 2 servings if I pushed myself. However, I tend to get stomachaches if I overeat, so I think I made the right choice. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

I had some errands nearby and decided to visit this place on a whim. I was seated right away, probably because it was just after opening. By the time I finished eating, there were customers waiting outside. The udon noodles had a strong texture and were delicious. This time, due to financial constraints, I tried the chilled sudachi udon, but next time I want to savor their specialty dish.

I got off at Kitakaga-ya Station and walked a little to the shop. I arrived around 10:50 am on Saturday and was the first customer. I ordered parent and child tempura udon with extra chikuwa tempura. The broth was a self-serve type, with a good texture and delicious chewy noodles. The chicken tempura with red ginger added was a nice touch that elevated the deliciousness. It was a udon shop where every bite felt delicious no matter where you cut it.

A few of us lined up and had the tempura udon with tempura topping. The udon noodles were delicious with a good texture. The tempura was crispy and tasty. It was great even when dipped in the broth. The pickled ginger added a nice touch. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

Visited "Agetate Udon Tsukirou" in Nishinari-ku, Osaka. It is located about 350m east of the nearest Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Kitakagaya Station. Arrived at 12:10 on a Saturday and there were 7 people waiting outside, but was surprised to see a waiting board where names were written. There were actually about 15 people waiting, including those nearby. The interior had a nostalgic feel with a straight counter seating for 5 and 3 tables for 4 people. I originally planned to have cold udon, but after being exposed to the curry smell from the ventilation fan for 35 minutes, I was completely brainwashed (laughs). Ordered the "Ten Curry (1.5 servings)" for 1,420 yen. It was a pleasant surprise that 1.5 servings and 2 servings were the same price. The curry broth had melted sweet onions, julienned carrots, and green onions swimming in it. It was spicy and flavorful, with a complex mix of acidity, sweetness, and milky richness. The thick udon noodles maintained their firm texture even when soaked in the hot broth. I thought, "Ah, this place must be able to make such udon, that's why their curry udon is famous." The generous portions of black wagyu beef tempura added a delicious flavor to the dish. The shrimp, juicy eggplant, sweet pumpkin, and crispy shiso and seaweed tempura were all excellent. A high-quality curry udon experience, thanks for the meal!

Sometimes I pass by this restaurant on my way to work, and I always see a lot of people waiting in front of it. I've always wanted to try it someday. When I had a day off from work on a weekday, I went with a friend to eat and had to wait about 20 minutes after writing our names on a list. Without hesitation, my friend and I ordered the same dish - Curry Udon with Tempura and White Rice for 1350 yen. As soon as it arrived, the delicious smell of spicy curry stimulated my appetite. When I tried the curry broth, it wasn't too spicy but had a unique spicy curry flavor that lingered in my mouth. I immediately slurped up the udon, which was perfectly chewy and delicious. The tempura with shrimp, eggplant, and shiso was crispy and soaked up the curry broth, making it a great side dish for the rice. I definitely want to go back and eat there again when I have time.

Udon restaurant near Nishi-Kagaya Station on the Osaka Metro. It's the highest-rated udon restaurant in western Japan that I haven't visited yet. Visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. About 6 people waiting outside. Soon got inside. Udon comes in 1, 1.5, and 2 servings for the same price.
- Kizami Udon (hot) 680 yen: The soup is incredibly flavorful. The tempura is large pieces, chopped up. It absorbs the broth well and tastes delicious. The noodles are medium-thick, chewy, and springy. Comes with one slice of fish cake and chopped green onions. Each table has crispy tempura flakes to add in, which adds a nice crunch and flavor.
- Tempura Curry Udon 1350 yen: My companion ordered this and shared with me. The curry has a spicy aroma and a sharp taste. It's cooked with onions, carrots, and meat. The tempura includes eggplant, pumpkin, shrimp, seaweed, and shiso leaf. The eggplant is juicy, and the pumpkin is sweet and tender. Both the kizami udon and tempura curry udon were delicious. It's a bit far from Osaka Station, but it was worth the trip. I thought it was a great restaurant.

"I came to have the "Toriten Bukkake" (960 yen), "Udon 1.5 servings (free)", and "Set A (+200 yen)" today (≧∇≦) It's been a while since I last visited. I chose the mixed rice for Set A. You can have up to 2 servings of udon for free. Note that they are only open for dinner on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The dishes arrived ☆彡 Even with 1.5 servings, it was a huge portion♪ I'm glad I didn't go for 2 servings - the udon is thick and chewy, with a great texture. The Toriten has pickled ginger in the batter, and the seasoning is fantastic. The mixed rice is delicious too♪"

I visited a restaurant that a friend recommended and I was curious about. I arrived just after 2 pm on a Saturday during the idol time. The restaurant was full, so I had to wait a bit, but I was promptly seated at the counter. I had just finished working out at the gym, so I ordered a beer and had a blissful moment. I then ordered the chicken tempura on rice (2 servings) with salmon rice. It arrived in about 10 minutes, and the salmon rice came with dashi broth. It was delicious to eat the salmon rice like ochazuke. The chicken tempura had pickled ginger in it, was freshly fried, soft, and absolutely delicious! I will visit again. Maybe I'll try the curry udon next time...

Visited a popular udon restaurant. Ordered the kizami udon with shrimp tempura topping. The mixed rice was flavorful and delicious. The udon had a good texture and the broth was Kansai-style. Overall, it was quite tasty. The staff, all female, were efficient and pleasant. The chicken tempura over noodles was a highlight.

I decided to try again since my previous attempt had many errors. I wasn't in a hurry, so I parked Q-chan in a certain place and walked. Uh-oh, I arrived at 12:15 during the super crowded time! There were 4 groups ahead of us, totaling 8 people! There was only 1 group left, and they ran out of mixed rice dishes!! After waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally sat at the counter. My wife ordered the tempura udon (1.5 servings) with inari, and I chose the tempura udon (2 servings), totaling 2070 yen. The dishes arrived in about 7 minutes. Wow, they looked so delicious! The tempura had pickled ginger on top. The udon had a good chewy texture, like gummy candy?! I'm not sure, but it was satisfying to eat! The broth was not too sweet and tasted delicious. I started to get a little tired of the 2 servings towards the end, but with the help of shichimi pepper and tempura crumbs for flavor variation, I managed to finish it without getting bored. I devoured the 2 servings and felt satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

Visit date: 1:00 PM, Saturday
Wait time: 5 minutes
Menu: Parent and Child Tempura Udon (2 servings) 1,000 yen
I visited a new restaurant for lunch. I aimed for a late lunch time, but when we arrived, there was already one group waiting outside. Even when we left, there were two groups waiting outside, so the restaurant was always full. We ordered the Parent and Child Tempura Udon. The dish came with three large pieces of tempura, making it quite a filling meal. We also ordered two servings of udon, so by the time we finished, we were stuffed. The noodles had a great texture and chewiness, and I understand why this place is always popular with long lines. Since I pass by this area often, I would like to visit again when there is no line. Thank you for the meal.

"I came to have the 'Toriten Bukkake' (930 yen) and 'Set A' (+180 yen) here today (≧∇≦) It's been a while since my last visit. They are open at night as well, but only on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, so be careful. You can get up to 2 servings of udon for free. This time, I opted for 1.5 servings♪ The rice in Set A is mixed with vegetables♪ The dishes arrived☆彡 The Toriten has a batter with pickled ginger in it. The udon has a good chewiness, but I wouldn't mind if it was a bit firmer. I always keep an eye out for restaurants that offer a set with yakimeshi (fried rice) at an affordable price. If it's under 200 yen to add it to the set, it's much appreciated♪ I tend to get tired of just udon and tempura, you know~(^◇^;)"
