Until now, whenever I wanted to eat ramen in Asahikawa, I would always go to "Yoshino". But today, it's too hot and I don't want to wait outside the restaurant. I decided to drive around and try the next ramen shop I come across! I found one! "Ra-men Gen". There is one parking spot available in the side parking lot of the restaurant. There are chairs outside where people waiting in line would sit. Even though it's past 2 PM, the restaurant is still quite busy. I'm sure it must be delicious. With confidence, I entered the restaurant. First, I tried the basic soy sauce ramen, and it was delicious. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the noodles seemed to be a bit more than usual. The other person with me tried the miso-flavored vegetable ramen. The portion of vegetables was generous and looked delicious, but for me today, the basic soy sauce ramen was just right.

Ramen restaurant located in Kagura 4-jo 9-chome, Asahikawa City. The shop also has a branch in Higashimitsu and operates two stores. I visited around 6 pm on a weekday because I felt like having ramen after work. I came here at this time four years ago as well, and it's always crowded with customers. There were about 10 people in 5 groups already seated, and more customers were coming in. It's rare to see a ramen shop this busy on a weekday at this time. The Higashimitsu branch is always busy too. I ordered the "Seinanman Ramen (soy sauce)" (950 yen) that I had before at the Higashimitsu branch and also the "Mentaiko Rice" (300 yen when ordered as a set with ramen). Since there was a wait, it took about 12-13 minutes for the food to arrive. The Seinanman Ramen had spicy minced meat miso and shredded red pepper on top of the noodles, and it's spicy but with a refreshing spiciness. The soup has a pork bone and seafood flavor as well. The noodles are medium-thin from Sato Seimen and they go well with the spicy soup. The chashu seemed to be pork belly, with a tender texture and delicious taste. The bamboo shoots were lightly seasoned, and there were also seaweed and green onions. I was quite satisfied with the meal! The Mentaiko Rice had a variety of toppings in the set bowls, and it seemed like many men were ordering it. The rice was made with "Nanatsuboshi" brand, topped with flaked mackerel, seaweed, and mayonnaise, with mentaiko and green onions in the middle. It's a delicious combination. I was also satisfied with this dish! As expected, Gen-san's food is delicious! It's no wonder there are so many customers here!

I visited "Ramen Gen" on July 6th for the first time. I arrived at 2:30 pm and walked there alone. It was a late lunch. The entrance had a curtain with the words "Sato Seimen Factory Co., Ltd." on it. There were two chairs for waiting customers on the right side. When I entered, I saw the kitchen in front, counter seats on the right, raised seats on the left, and tables in between. There was one customer ahead of me. There were about three staff members. I was told to choose any seat, so I sat at a table for two. You order first and then pay. I checked the menu and ordered the Negi Ramen with spicy miso for 1000 yen. It was served in about 4 minutes. It came with one slice of chashu. The chashu was firm but became tender in the hot soup. The diagonally sliced green onions were very fresh. There were thin bamboo shoots topped with white sesame and a sheet of nori. The noodles were medium-thin with low water content. The soup was spicy miso, with just the right amount of spiciness. You can choose the level of spiciness from 2 to 20 as an option. They also offer a green chili option. I would like to try that next time. Thank you for the meal.

Spicy miso vegetable ramen with pork fat topping!! Oh, I feel like I've become an adult too! I can now order such a unique ramen (laughs). However, I realized that I'm not a fan of spicy miso vegetable flavor. I prefer regular miso, soy sauce, or salt. Next time, I'll try soy sauce ramen with flavored egg topping (laughs). But, regardless, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the store at the opening time to avoid crowded hours. It had been a while since I last visited this shop. Depending on the time, it can be a popular place with long lines. I ordered a soy sauce ramen and negi rice set with a bit of determination. The staff were friendly and the food was served fairly quickly. The appearance of the Asahikawa ramen was unique and looked delicious. When I took a sip of the soup, it had a slight pork bone flavor but was very smooth with a sweetness that would be appealing to everyone. It may not have a distinctive feature, but it is a place I would definitely recommend for families. The noodles were medium-thin curly noodles, a classic choice for Asahikawa ramen. The negi rice was made with versatile negi without any spiciness, lightly seasoned with salt, pepper, and sesame oil, making it easy to eat and showing attention to detail. I was satisfied with the gentle flavors. I might come back again.

I ordered the miso ramen for 800 yen. Instead of the red miso I expected, the miso I got was more like white miso with a hint of sesame, giving it a trendy and creamy taste that would appeal to younger people. It wasn't as rich and heavy as typical miso ramen, so I found it easy to eat. The owner ordered the red miso, and when I tried it, I found it had a stronger and richer miso flavor, so next time I want to try that one. It seems like people's preferences may differ between the regular miso and the red miso at this restaurant. The chashu was tender, with a decent amount, which I liked.

"I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 800 yen with a mini pork bowl set for 250 yen. Despite being a popular restaurant in the Yamatoya style, I was able to get a seat right away when I went around 4 o'clock. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, and the regular seats were quite full, so I ended up sitting in a small raised seating area, which I usually try to avoid. The ramen soup was delicious as always, made with a combination of seafood and pork bone. The thin curly noodles were also good. The pork belly chashu was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The mini pork bowl had a tasty sauce and was filled with pork belly meat, which was also delicious. Next time, I'll try the miso ramen."

I went for a walk in the morning and it got hot along the way, so I took off a layer. So today I went to Genkagura shop because I had been to Higamitsu shop a year ago. I had already decided on ordering salt ramen and negi mayo char-don before coming, so I ordered right away and it arrived in 5 minutes. It looks like a Santoka style ramen. The soup is quite fatty and cloudy, but it has a light salt flavor that you can drink until the end. It has a taste leaning towards tonkotsu. The large sheets of seaweed and seasoned bamboo shoots are lightly flavored, but not strongly seasoned. The chashu is two large slices of pork belly that are tender and fall apart when picked up with chopsticks. I love this tenderness, but the seasoning is not quite there and there is a lingering smell, which may be a point that divides opinions. The negi mayo char-don has a sweet and salty sauce with marinated chashu piled on top of rice, and the mayonnaise is subtle so you can enjoy the flavor of the chashu. With this volume and taste, the cost performance of 250 yen is reasonable.

I ate three times the amount of spicy miso (red miso). The base miso was quite sweet. I was surprised by the small portion, but the restaurant was crowded even though it was close to 3 pm on a weekday. It's a matter of taste, but I think the red miso was too sweet. Next time, I want to try white miso and make it ten times spicier.

During lunchtime, there were only a few customers, but the service was unexpectedly slow. I wondered if Kato noodles take a long time to cook. Despite these concerns, I was completely satisfied with the taste - the creamy broth with a gentle saltiness was delicious. I almost finished the entire soup, it was that good. This ramen is definitely worth another visit. I had the vegetable salt ramen.

The ramen shop in Asahikawa was incredibly delicious. The creamy rich miso flavor with plenty of green onions. You definitely don't want to miss out on this! When it comes to choosing Asahikawa ramen, I think "Gen" is the way to go! The soup was even creamier than I imagined, without any fishy taste, making it enjoyable for kids as well. I will definitely be going back for more! (о´∀`о)

Miso ramen for 770 yen (tax included) with thin curly noodles and tender, fatty chashu was delicious. There were various soup options, but choosing the regular miso was probably the right decision. The container had a similar style to Yamatoya. The staff seemed a bit busy, so their service was just okay.

I usually go to Gen-san, my favorite ramen shop at the Higashi-Kohten branch, but this time I went to the Kagura branch. As soon as I placed my order, the ramen was served. The tender and red-looking chashu, which seemed spicy, was the same as always. Despite the spiciness, the balance of umami and sharpness was delicious.

I was drinking beer at home when I suddenly felt like eating ramen, so I walked to Kagura's "Gen". They have bottled beer! But the glass is non-alcoholic (lol). Does this make it alcohol-free instead of zero calories (lol)? It goes well with their usual spicy miso beer♪

I'm currently obsessed with Seinanban Ramen, so I decided to try it at the Kagura shop. It was my first time at Kagura shop. It was already past 7:30 pm, but it was quite crowded. I ordered the Seinanban Ramen with salt. I've only tried the Seinanban with salt before, so I thought maybe I should try other flavors, but when it comes to Seinanban, isn't salt the best? That's my current obsession (laughs). When I go, other customers often order miso, but I still think salt is the way to go. Nevertheless, it was delicious! Kagura shop was also delicious. If I had room in my stomach, I would want to eat another bowl because I love it so much. Seinanban is the best! Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I had a study session related to work in the afternoon near this place. It was around 6pm, so I decided to visit this restaurant that I often pass by. Normally, there are many cars parked in front of the restaurant at this time, but today there were none. Inside, there were already 2 groups of customers. I was seated at a table and looked at the menu. The "Shoyu Ramen" (¥750) caught my eye as it seemed to be popular, but since it was my first visit, I played it safe and chose that. I also added a side of "Negi Gohan" (¥250) because I was quite hungry from skipping lunch. It's definitely a popular spot, as more customers came in later. In about 10 minutes, my food arrived! The Shoyu Ramen had a miso-like color, but the taste was unmistakably soy sauce with a hint of pork bone and seafood. The sesame aroma was also nice, and the soup was creamy and delicious. The noodles were thin and curly, typical of Asahikawa Ramen, and they paired well with the soup. The three slices of chashu were tender and flavorful, and the menma had a seasoned taste with a good amount of green onions. The Negi Gohan had plenty of green onions, finely chopped chashu, and fried garlic bits, all mixed in a sweet and savory sauce with a hint of black pepper. It was a satisfying meal, and I left feeling full. Now, it's time to go home and work on that training report... (bitter smile)

My favorite Aonanman...♪*゚The refreshing spiciness is enticing in both winter and summer ♡ "Gen" Higashimitsu store is a ramen specialty shop that I love and want to visit regularly ♬ This Kagura store is my first visit because I rarely pass by! I conquered the delicious ramen with white cloudy soup "salt" ♡ My number one favorite... Aonanman Vegetable Ramen [Salt] ♬ 900 yen Soy sauce and miso are delicious, but in the Aonanman series, salt is the best (◦ˉ ˘ ˉ◦) ♡ The difference from the Higashimitsu store is that the bean sprouts are overcooked and become mushy... It's a matter of preference, but I would be happier if there was a bit more crunchiness? In that respect, Higashimitsu main store has an exquisite texture ♬ At the Kagura store, if it's full, they will call you when your turn is up...♪*゚It might be better than waiting inside the restaurant (^_-) Thank you for the meal~♬

I wanted to eat ramen before going home, so I chose Negi Miso Ramen with spicy miso and chashu at Gensan for 1150 yen. It was a satisfying meal with a generous portion. The chashu was tender and delicious. I am full and ready to head home.

I have a favorite ramen shop that I go to occasionally. I like regular miso and soy sauce flavors, but I especially love the spicy miso! And above all, the seasoned egg topping is a must-have!! It's just the best (* ̄∇ ̄)ノ This time, I splurged a bit and added a mini pork bowl, which was also perfectly balanced in flavor! It goes well with the spicy miso!

I stopped by on my way back from Asahikawa. It was along the national highway, so I had been looking at it the whole time but had never gone in before. Good evening. I sat down and didn't know what was good. The top one is soy sauce, so maybe soy sauce is the best? I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 750 yen. It was a little after 5 p.m. and there were hardly any people, so my ramen arrived quickly! Oh, it's cloudy and looks rich and delicious. Let's eat! The soup is a classic Asahikawa style with pork bone and seafood. However, the seafood flavor is strong, and the main feature is the strong sweetness! It's quite sweet. I like sweet things, so it suits my taste perfectly! Looking at the reviews on Tabelog, there was a comment saying the chashu was melt-in-your-mouth, and it really was soft and delicious. I feel like I found a great restaurant that I can easily go to! Thank you for the meal.
