Today was a business trip to Osaka. The situation with COVID is improving, and the bullet train was almost full of both business travelers and tourists. After finishing the morning meeting, I was thinking about where to have lunch. I searched for a restaurant near the next meeting location that caught my interest, and I found this place. So, let's go check it out. It was a bit hard to find on the second floor of a building, but I managed to get there. There were seats available, so I entered right away. The interior had a deep atmosphere that matched the restaurant well, and the owner had a unique vibe. The BGM was African-themed, which added to the ambiance. The menu was written on a small blackboard, offering 4 types of curry: 2 types for 1300 yen, 3 types for 1300 yen, and 4 types for 1500 yen, with options like boiled eggs, cilantro, and pickled shallots. I chose the Negi Keema, Spicy Pork, and Umechiki (plum) curry set. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed many female customers who seemed like regulars. Spicy curry is popular among women, right? By the way, why is the restaurant named "Te"? I pondered as the curry arrived. The owner explained, "The top right is the Keema curry. Be careful of the plum seeds in the Umechiki at the bottom." I took a bite of each curry. The spiciness was just right, and the Umechiki was quite sour! The Spicy Pork had a hint of balsamic vinegar, maybe? I love sour curries, so I was satisfied. It was delicious, so I kept eating, but then I encountered a hard seed inside the Umechiki, which was a close call. Thanks for the meal.
