This is a local curry place that is not Indian. You buy a meal ticket at the entrance and then take a seat. I had the pork cutlet curry with salad (750 yen). The curry sauce is not too spicy, with a neutral flavor. The pork cutlet is crispy but a bit tough. The salad is served on the same plate as the curry, which is a bit unusual but makes sense for the restaurant. The quality of the curry and cutlet is not the best, but considering the price of 750 yen for both, it's actually quite a good deal. One thing to improve would be to serve the curry more neatly.

I was planning to go to a curry restaurant over there during my business trip to Obihiro, but when I was listening to FM JAGA, I heard "Katsu curry for 550 yen. Free extra large portion on Tuesdays!" so I changed my destination and went to Jungle 1. It's been years since I last visited Jungle 1, which used to be a Seiryo restaurant that is now closed. The ordering system has changed with a large touch screen self-register. It's impressive how things have advanced. Personally, I think I prefer the curry at Jungle 1 over the curry restaurant over there. Next time I come to Obihiro, I will definitely come here.

Hahaha (* ̄∇ ̄*) This time, I succeeded in taking a photo before eating. When it comes to curry in Obihiro, it's definitely here! I always rely on this place. I topped my curry with cheese, eggplant, and sausage, which I don't usually order. I was really hungry, so I got a large serving, but maybe I added too many toppings because I ran out of curry a little bit and ended up eating the rice with pickles. The taste was consistent as always, and it was delicious once again (Kishi Asako style).

The taste of the curry itself is average. However, it is convenient that you can use cashless payment at this inexpensive curry shop. Also, it's nice that soft drinks are only 100 yen. You pour the drinks into paper cups at the drink bar. Sometimes they have days where you can get one drink for free. This time I didn't add any toppings, so I would like to try adding toppings next time to taste it again.

Having lunch in Obihiro! I visited Curry Shop Jungle 1, which I couldn't go to last time because it was closed. I arrived around 11:30 am and it was not crowded. There were 3 groups of customers ahead of me. When I entered the restaurant, I purchased my meal at the ticket machine. The sign at the entrance also stated that the pork cutlet curry was only 500 yen!! What a deal! I was also tempted by the gyoza curry, but I decided to go with the pork cutlet curry. It was convenient that they accepted electronic money. I chose the medium spiciness level. The rice portion was normal. Once I sat down, the staff collected my ticket. Water was self-service. When I think of Obihiro, I think of Indian curry. I was curious about what Jungle 1 was like among the Indian curry places. I've been to Apache Curry before, and that was also delicious. While thinking about that, my meal arrived in less than 5 minutes. All of this for 500 yen. What a great value! Let's dig in. The curry has a standard taste, not as rich as Indian curry. It's quite tasty! It's a refreshing curry, don't you think? The pork cutlet is crispy. It's cut into relatively small pieces and not too thick. Toppings included fukujinzuke and pickled radish, but I completely forgot to eat them, haha. I remembered after finishing my meal... I should have tried the spiciest level, as the medium spiciness wasn't really spicy. Obihiro has a high level of curry quality. Thank you for the meal!

When it comes to curry in Obihiro, that restaurant is well-known, but it is said that Jungle 1 offers better value for money. I had heard that you could eat a pork cutlet curry for 500 yen, but when I looked at the menu inside the restaurant, I saw there was a Mega Curry, so I decided to order it. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I received a plate with 300g of rice topped with a hamburger, pork cutlet, grilled pork, and a raw egg. The curry tasted average, and the hamburger seemed to be frozen. It was disappointing. The portion size was decent, so I left feeling full, but it was disappointing. The pork cutlet curry for 500 yen would have been a better choice. What a shame!

On my third visit, I had planned to order the one-coin hamburger curry, but I decided to try the Jumbo Hamburger Curry for only 80 yen more. The curry was served with a generous portion, with a large 200g hamburger patty. Next time, I might try the new menu item, the Tenderloin Cutlet Curry for 600 yen.

On weekdays from 11:00 to 16:00, they offer a great deal on curry for only 500 yen including tax. Options include sausage curry, cheese curry, hamburger curry, fried chicken curry, and discounted pork cutlet curry. On the second visit, the reviewer chose the spicy fried chicken curry. The curry was topped with 6 small pieces of fried chicken, which were easy to eat but didn't seem to complement the curry well. The reviewer preferred the pork cutlet curry. The spicy level of the curry was not too intense. The curry itself was delicious. Next time, the reviewer is considering ordering the hamburger curry in a large portion, or sticking with the classic pork cutlet curry. Many regular customers seem to prefer the pork cutlet curry.

There is a curry restaurant in Obihiro that is part of the Ichimaru chain!! There are several branches in Obihiro!! While Obihiro is known for a very famous curry restaurant, the taste of this place is also worth trying occasionally!! The first bite even surpasses the potential of the famous curry restaurant!! Being able to add a fried egg on top is also a plus.

I went shopping at a large supermarket and decided to look for a bento box, but couldn't find anything that suited my mood for the day, so I ended up rolling into a restaurant with a growling stomach. There was a sign at the entrance promoting a "tax increase countermeasure campaign" where the Katsu Curry for 700 yen was discounted to 500 yen, and it seemed to be a popular choice among customers. However, since I was really hungry, I ordered the Zankatsu Curry for 600 yen, which came with Zangi (fried chicken) and Katsu on top, in medium spiciness. The restaurant had table and counter seats, and there were many customers coming and going, including solo female diners. The table was set with red Fukujinzuke (pickles), takuan (pickled radish), a wet towel, and water. The oval-shaped plate had rice on the left side, about 5 pieces of Zangi and bite-sized pieces of Katsu in the center, and curry sauce on the right side. The Zangi was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, while the Katsu was crunchy with a bit of fat, although the meat was a bit tough. The medium spiciness level was not very spicy. I remembered a business associate who used to say that coming to this restaurant and eating the extra spicy curry was the highlight of their trip to Obihiro. I struggled a bit with the shape of the container and ended up misjudging the amount of rice and curry, so I had a bit of leftover curry at the end. But the portion was generous, and my hungry stomach was more than satisfied. They advertise Tuesdays as Curry Day, where you can order a single serving of curry sauce for 320 yen, but if you order two servings, you can take home three servings of curry for 640 yen. Just remember to bring your own container or pay an additional 50 yen. They also have a "King Curry" challenge that was attempted by the food fighter Angela Sato from Sapporo, so if you're a big eater, give it a try!

Speaking of Obihiro, it's all about curry! I discovered an amazing cost-effective curry at Curry Shop Jungle 1. It's the dream collaboration of tonkatsu and zangi in the Zankatsu Curry for only ¥600. The volume is astonishing for the price of 600 yen (tax included). #ZankatsuCurry #ObihiroCurry #Jungle1

I wanted to have pork cutlet curry at Sarameshi. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with medium spiciness, but then I saw a picture of chicken cheese cutlet curry! I couldn't help but ask if I could change it. The friendly manager said it was okay. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I bought from the ticket vending machine and the food was served to my seat quickly, in about 5 minutes! I chose the pork cutlet curry, it was cheap and the portion was large! However, there was nothing particularly special about it. The taste was decent for the price.

This place offers good value for money. It's hard to find a place where you can eat curry with tonkatsu for 550 yen these days. You purchase a ticket at the entrance, take a seat, and then your meal is served quickly. The customer service is a bit lacking, so I would give it a 3 out of 5.

Today, I was in the mood for curry but decided to change it up and went to Jungle 1 instead. I used a mobile coupon to prevent summer fatigue and boost my energy. I ordered the Katsu Curry with a discount from 700 yen to 500 yen, with an additional topping of Stamina for 320 yen. The freshly fried Katsu was hot and crispy, cut into bite-sized pieces for easy eating. The Stamina topping was filled with plenty of pork belly meat. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is Obihiro, it's been a while since I visited. I've been so busy that I can only take Sundays off, so I decided to go today. If I had Saturday off too, I would have headed to Sapporo, but oh well. After eating ramen, I had some coffee, and then I started visiting the restaurants I had noted down. So far, I've finished 5 places. Next up is the 6th place, and the question is, can I get takeout? I didn't check for information. By the time I arrived in Obihiro, my wife sent me a message saying, "Sorry, I couldn't make dinner." Well, when I go out, you always expect me to bring something back, right? Oh well, whenever I come to Obihiro, I always buy Indian curry, but today it's "Curry Shop Jungle." Indian or Jungle, what's the connection with curry? I have no idea about the name, but as long as it's delicious, it's all good. When I arrived, I thought, "WOW," but it was more like "OW." Is this for kids? The atmosphere feels like a place for children. I'm an adult, but I've been told that I'm like a child and that I'm about to revert back to being a kid, so will you still accompany me? I couldn't find the Jungle. Did they shut down? Is this my first failure today? But as I was about to give up and head back to my car, I found a place that seemed like a waste of 10 minutes. I entered, and there was one customer and one woman attending. She didn't notice me for quite some time. Finally, after 2 minutes, she noticed me. Standing or sitting, drawing attention is not a criminal act. I did it, "I'd like to get takeout." "Do you have a container?" "No!" "A container will cost 50 yen." Well, I guess that's understandable. How would you carry it without a container? In your pocket? If my wife were here, a pot would be fine, but I can't carry a pot by myself into the store. "How many servings?" I hadn't thought about it. "Two servings," I replied without thinking. It cost 690 yen. Is that normal? After waiting for 3 minutes, it was ready. I felt thirsty after eating salty ramen, but I resisted, even though there was a water server. I'll drink water when I get home. Today, I have enough for two servings, so I'll divide it and serve each portion. There's quite a lot. When I tried it, the medium spiciness was just right. I could handle one level higher too. It's quite spicy, flavorful, and rich. It was a bit salty, but it didn't bother me much. It's really delicious curry. It can compete with Indian curry. I don't need to compare, it's just really tasty curry. This place is worth visiting again!

Recently, when it comes to curry, I tend to prefer authentic Indian & Nepalese curry over Japanese-style curry. Due to my age, heavy and thick Japanese curry tends to upset my stomach. I recently visited a mysterious curry restaurant called "Apache Curry" and now I am visiting this restaurant, "Jungle 1," to complete my tour of traditional curry places in Tokachi, Obihiro. The interior of Jungle 1 is a bit old-fashioned with a lot of character. I ordered the pork cutlet curry, which was described as "handmade and freshly fried." The presentation and aroma reminded me of a popular curry chain, but the taste was completely different. Even though I asked for medium spiciness, the curry was surprisingly sweet and lacked the expected heat. I noticed another customer's curry was excessively sweet, as if they had added 3 or 4 sticks of coffee sugar. Overall, curry restaurants in Tokachi, Obihiro have their own unique characteristics.

There used to be Jungle Curry restaurants scattered around the Tokachi area, but the former owner passed away a few years ago. Now, it seems like Ichimaru is running the business. I can't remember the original prices, but it seems like they have increased quite a bit. Adding anything to the curry makes it go over 600 yen, with each topping costing 180 yen. I remember stopping by during pachinko breaks, and it feels like the prices have gone up since then. They used to compete with Indian Curry and have been working hard for years, with one reason being that they were cheaper. The soup is thicker than at Coco Ichibanya, but not as thick as at Indian Curry. I actually liked it this way. It seems like Tuesdays are cheaper, so I'll try to go on a Tuesday next time. I wonder if it will still be there when I go again.

I wanted to eat curry, so I made a reservation the day before to try my luck. I decided to take on the challenge at King Curry: if you finish within 20 minutes, it's free! I was seated at my reserved table and asked about the spiciness level I wanted. The King Curry was served on a large plate, and when the staff gave the signal, I started the challenge. The curry was not too spicy, more on the sweet side if you choose the normal spiciness level. It had beef-like meat pieces in it. I called the staff when I was close to finishing, and I completed the challenge in just over 10 minutes. It was delicious. Since I succeeded in the challenge, the meal was free. I wonder how much it would have cost if I had failed. They have various toppings for their curry, so I would like to go back and try them. Thank you for the meal!
