Asahikawa Sanroku-machi, a sushi restaurant located at a crossroads. I have been visiting this restaurant regularly since returning to Hokkaido. On this day, I went to Sapporo during the day and returned home in the evening. I was wondering what to do for the night since I had already had drinks in Sapporo during the day. It was a Saturday night, so I decided to go to an izakaya where my friends were gathering around 9 pm. We had a great time chatting and enjoying ourselves. Many people who arrived early started to leave, but I was feeling energized (laughs) so I decided to stop by this sushi restaurant. Since I had already eaten in Sapporo, I didn't eat much at the izakaya. It was past 11 pm, and I was feeling a bit hungry, so I decided to focus on nigiri sushi for tonight. I started with a "draft beer" (600 yen), and the appetizer was "Hokuyori himono vinegar miso salad". Before moving on to the nigiri sushi, I decided to have a few snacks, so I ordered "tamago" (300 yen) and something I had never tried before, "geso zangi" (750 yen). Oh, this was delicious. The "geso zangi" was marinated in ginger soy sauce and served with mayo, it was so good. I couldn't resist having some sake, so I ordered "Kunimare special junmai sake" (880 yen). It had a refreshing taste, and it went well with the sushi. Now, let's have some nigiri sushi made by the chef. I had "uni" (600 yen), "komochi konbu" (480 yen), "akagai" (350 yen), "hotate" (250 yen), and "shio kara" (170 yen), along with other favorites. I especially enjoyed the creamy "uni" and the flavorful "shio kara". I felt like having some soup after drinking sake, so I ordered "nameko miso soup" (350 yen) and also received some pickles. Lastly, I had "sabagari" (400 yen) to finish off the meal. The mackerel was also delicious with its fatty texture. I thought, "Is it okay to eat and drink so much at this late hour?" but so far, everything seems fine. Thank you as always, Chef!

I have visited this place several times in the past, but I don't have any particularly great memories of it... It's not bad, but I always feel like something is missing... After a party, I was in the mood for some sushi to finish off the night, so I headed to my favorite sushi restaurant, but it seemed like they were out of ingredients and had closed. I wandered around a bit, and decided to try Sushiroku, which was empty inside. The atmosphere gave off the impression that they were selective with their customers, and the service was not great. I remember being disappointed with the "shime-saba" last time I visited. It's all a matter of personal preference though. I noticed the chef making a gesture as to where to cut the fish, while the customers seemed oblivious. I think I'll pass on buying any sushi to take home this time. As usual, my visit ended up being unsatisfactory, so I didn't post about it. Maybe I'll give it another try in a few years, or maybe I'll just stop going altogether. Thank you for the meal...

This is a sushi restaurant near the intersection in Asahikawa Sanroku town. I have been coming here regularly since returning to Hokkaido, and I wanted to stop by to greet the chef for the New Year. I wasn't satisfied with the New Year's lunch I had at another sushi restaurant the day before, so I wanted to start fresh here (laughs). I sat at the counter in front of the chef and greeted him for the New Year. I started with a "draft beer" (600 yen) and the appetizer (450 yen) was "Matsumae pickles". I usually order the chef's choice sashimi platter for 2,000 or 2,500 yen, but this time I saw good "tuna" in the selection. I asked for a "tuna platter" for 2,500 yen. It included Otoro, Chutoro, and Akami, all delicious with rich flavor and just the right amount of fat, melting in my mouth and making me feel happy (laughs). They also make delicious tempura here. They offered a half portion, so I requested a "tempura platter (half)" for 1,000 yen, which included shrimp, squid, crab, eggplant, and shishito pepper. The batter was crispy and dry, perfectly fried, and I was satisfied as always. I enjoyed it with green tea salt. I felt like having sake, so I ordered a "special junmai sake, Kitano Nishiki, Kita no Roman" (700 yen), which is a dry type. Finally, let's finish with sushi! I had "uni" (600 yen), "kombu with roe" (480 yen), and "salmon mayo roll" (400 yen for one). The variety and quality of the sushi here are excellent. It's always comforting. I'll definitely stop by occasionally this year too!!

In November 2022, during my long stay in Asahikawa, I finally decided to visit Sushi Roku, a restaurant I had heard of but never been to before. It was just past 5:30 PM and the place was empty, so I decided to sit at the counter. I ordered a bottle of beer and was served some appetizers right away. I started with scallops and surf clams sashimi, beautifully presented by the chef. I asked for a Tekka Maki (tuna roll) but was advised to start with just one piece since a full portion might be too much. The warm vinegar rice in the roll was delicious. I also ordered a glass of Juyama special junmai sake and a Negitoro Maki. As more customers arrived, the atmosphere became lively. I also enjoyed a mackerel and salted fish roe sushi. The homemade salted fish roe was particularly tasty. Freshly made sushi is always a special treat. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and already thinking about coming back before leaving Asahikawa. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

After drinking in the city center of Asahikawa, we visited a sushi restaurant for our second stop. There were five of us, but the spacious interior allowed us to eat comfortably. And the cost performance was amazing! Is this really the price for this quality? The sushi was perfect in every way and incredibly delicious! Asahikawa may not have the sea, but you can still enjoy delicious sushi here.

This is a sushi restaurant near the intersection of Sanroku-machi in Asahikawa. I have been a regular customer here since I returned to Hokkaido from Tokyo. On this day, I had been drinking with friends at a nearby bar, but I still felt like having more drinks, so I decided to stop by here. Because I have been coming here for a long time, seeing the master's face always puts me at ease. I started with a "draft beer" (550 yen). The appetizer (450 yen) was "simmered katsube no kogori". I was craving sashimi, so I ordered the "assorted sashimi" for 2,000 yen. The assortment included "akami", "chutoro", "aji", "matsukawa flounder", "akagai", "tarako", "hirame", "engawa", and "komochi konbu". Everything was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the firm texture of the "engawa" and the bursting flavor of the "komochi konbu". I feel like I have always enjoyed dishes like akagai, komochi konbu, and tarako. I wanted to have some cold sake, so I ordered the "Hokkai no Katsu (Oomie)" (1,100 yen). As a finishing touch, I thought of having a sushi roll. I chose the "sabagari maki" (400 yen) – the combination of mackerel and pickled ginger is always delicious. I left feeling satisfied and happy. When I first started using Tabelog, the master said, "I didn't think you were the type to do this kind of thing," but now he mentioned that he reads my reviews. Although I don't come as often as before because I visit many different restaurants, coming here always makes me feel at ease. I will drop by occasionally!

I had a few drinks at a beer garden and felt a bit hungry, so I decided to stop by Sushi Roku. The counter was almost full, so I went upstairs for the first time. The second floor had a nice open atmosphere. There was a group of customers talking enthusiastically about ramen. I ordered my favorites - tuna, scallop, shrimp, mackerel, and pickled mackerel sushi rolls. As a side dish for my beer, I also got freshly made tamagoyaki (egg omelette) and nagaimo (Japanese yam) fries. The tamagoyaki was really hot and fluffy, and the nagaimo fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were both delicious. Of course, the sushi was also very tasty. But the freshly made tamagoyaki left a strong impression on me. Overall, I was very impressed with the food at this sushi restaurant.

Second use of a sushi restaurant that is just right for the end, didn't eat much because the first place was close to closing... I feel like many places in Asahikawa close early. At a glance, there are several sushi restaurants. The entrance was easy to enter, so I went in. There were 3 chefs and 1 server. I ordered the special premium sushi, fatty tuna, seaweed, wasabi, and assorted sushi. Considering the price, the fatty tuna and seaweed were pretty good. The wasabi seemed to lack spiciness, so they added mountain wasabi. I had silk snow and Kokushimuso for drinks. It's been a while since I had local sake, and I don't think it's particularly delicious, but it goes well with sushi. The most concerning thing was the counter, which was not made of wood but had a unique white appearance that didn't look appetizing. The impression of using the restaurant for the second time is that middle and small business managers or directors come after going to a snack bar.

This sushi restaurant near the intersection in Asahikawa Sanroku Street is a place I used to frequent a lot since returning to Hokkaido. I often went there for some sushi as a finishing touch after drinking. When I first started using Tabelog, I visited this place and wrote a few reviews. After that, I focused on exploring new places and gradually visited less often. It felt nostalgic and I wanted to go back. When I entered, the chef recognized me and mentioned that it had been since August 2018 since my last visit. In my old review, I had written "I should show my face here once in a while!" The chef insisted that I don't take a picture of him, but I managed to capture the interior of the counter without him. The counter seat in front of the chef is always the most comforting. I started with a draft beer and some sashimi instead of sushi since it was my second stop of the night. The chef agreed to make a sashimi platter for around 1,500-2,000 yen, and he prepared one for me at 1,500 yen. It included horse mackerel, sea urchin, button shrimp, fatty tuna, herring roe, flounder, and bluefin tuna. The chef also suggested trying the half-sized cuttlefish tempura, which was creamy and delicious. I paired it with a special junmai sake and some additional sushi and rolled omelette to finish off the meal. Overall, I felt satisfied and happy to have revisited this restaurant that I occasionally like to drop by.

Due to the pandemic, I couldn't go out for a while, but I finally went to Sanroku Town. My colleague and I visited a izakaya where we are always taken care of, did some rounds without drinking, and after dinner, my colleague suggested, "Let's go to another place!" At first, they wanted ramen, but then they changed their mind to sushi, so we ended up at Sushi Roku. We were seated on the second floor, watching the Olympics on a large TV while eating. It felt like a public viewing event (laughs). We had delicious assorted sushi and non-alcoholic beer. A long time ago, in my younger days, I won a longshot horse racing bet and came here to celebrate. The freshly baked tamago (egg) that the chef offered me was so delicious that it left a lasting impression on me. Tonight's meal was also delicious. Thank you for the feast!

Oh... Sanroku Street is also bustling with activity. I see many tourists as well. Normally, there would be a long line of lanterns with loud calls and it would be a summer tradition. This year, it's a bit of a lonely sight... but there were still some shops where you couldn't enter. I was glad to be able to enter this place after a long time. I sat next to the regular customers and ordered a draft beer. It was delicious. Oh, I feel like having some zangi... so I ordered it right away. First, I had the Sushi Roku's assorted sashimi (enough for 2-3 people) for 2200 yen. Wow, it's a lot of food. It looks like I won't be able to make it to the sushi. The plate is filled with ingredients that seem like they could be used for hand-rolled sushi at home. I enjoyed it while sipping on my beer and highball. And then, the hot chicken karaage arrived. It has a strong flavor with a nice hint of ginger, which is to my liking. I was satisfied with the gentle taste. And then, I had a few pieces of sushi with a cup of tea. It's a warm and cozy sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Assorted sashimi set of 5 pieces, premium sushi set of 10 pieces, bottle of Kirin Lager beer (medium size), additional medium fatty tuna and sweet shrimp. Complimentary appetizer of fried white fish in vinegar dressing. The sashimi set includes mackerel, salmon, red tuna, scallop with salmon roe, squid, and sea bream. The sushi set includes medium fatty tuna, flounder, spot prawn, scallop, abalone, ark shell, herring roe, crab, sea urchin, and salmon roe. Additional orders of medium fatty tuna and sweet shrimp. All the dishes were fresh, with a good texture and thickness that enhanced the eating experience. The sushi had a deep flavor that was satisfying and delicious.

I was walking around without any dinner plans from the hotel when I noticed this nearby restaurant. The prices were affordable so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Manpuku Nigiri set which came with 15 pieces for 2200 yen. The size of the nigiri was slightly larger than usual. The fish wasn't super fresh but it was still enjoyable not knowing what would come next. I finished it all quickly. The meal also came with miso soup with shrimp heads. Considering the price, it was a great value compared to the cheap conveyor belt sushi places. I felt satisfied with the quality of the non-conveyor belt sushi and the overall cost performance was excellent. It's a place where you can easily dine alone without feeling awkward.

Today is already Friday. It's Hilmo Rita. Live broadcast from 12 o'clock. 83.7MHz. FM Ravel. This day is the annual Kaneda Group's summer festival. And the usual sushi at the end. Where should we go... ended up coming here after thinking about it. It's kind of become a pattern, haha. Not much movement. Signal-san struck a pose for the first time in a while. There were a lot of people around this day, so the pose was small. Embarrassing... he said, but no one asked him to pose. He decided to pose on his own, though haha. Do you like sushi? What rank will it be today? If it looks delicious, click the "↓" button! ⇒ Try pressing it once! Today, there's a story. First, strike a pose and wipe the glasses. Apparently, wiping the glasses after finishing a job is a routine, haha. So, what's the story... with beer. I felt like drinking beer this day. I don't usually think about drinking beer many times a year, but I felt like it this day. So beer first. Beer tastes great when your throat is super dry! Starting with appetizers. Sushi right away... but it's fine, starting with appetizers. Squid... assorted shellfish. And herring roe. Yeah... it's off to a good start with the idle sashimi! Delicious. Oh, I'll tell you today. What is it? This year, no more sneaky photos. Every year, I say I won't take any photos, but when I look at the blog later, I suddenly see myself. I never gave permission... so this year, no photography allowed. Just letting you know in advance. Understood... I'll ask in advance... Geso tempura. Oh, I've never seen something like this before. First time seeing it. It's delicious... geso. Crispy with mayonnaise. Amazing, right? You get it, right? Oh, I remember... this year, no taking photos. Yes, that's right, I forgot because I took three steps. I didn't take a single step, though, haha. Tai... flounder. I wanted to try various types this year. Sushi... I've always liked it, but I've been especially into it lately. I want to eat sushi more than meat... that's been my mood lately. Have I become an old man, or am I just affected by the summer heat... Yeah, white fish is delicious! It would have been good with salt too. Lately, this is what I've been into. Let's see... just a moment, I'll capture the moment of grabbing the hand-rolled sushi, so don't move. Please stay still. Okay... what's in it? Egg roll... huh, I've never seen that before! Interesting... egg roll. That's a bit stylish. Salmon... scallop. I love salmon, the more fat, the better. Fatty salmon... that's my favorite. I also like scallops. Scallops are delicious raw or butter-grilled, too. Yeah, seafood is the best! What are you doing? Uh, well... with the chopsticks... chopsticks? You're eating hand rolls, right? You don't need chopsticks, do you? Uh, so... um... I didn't need chopsticks, right? Ne... tuna and green onion hand roll. Even without green onions, it's still tuna and green onions. It's not about green onions and tuna, so it doesn't have to be green onions. Take the part around the bone with a spoon, wrap it in seaweed, and eat it. That's the tuna and green onion hand roll. But many places have green onions wrapped in tuna. That's also delicious, right? Oh, right... I'll be right back. I was hesitating about what to grab with the chopsticks for the hand roll... I captured the moment when you were hesitating... so I covered it up with beer... and I also took a picture of your face trying to cover it up, haha. Pressed the button again... Eel pressed sushi. Learned about this menu by watching other customers eat it before. Is it written on the menu behind the chef? I've never seen it, but maybe I missed it. It's delicious.

I wonder why I always get hungry after drinking. So, I went to a sushi restaurant♪ There's something luxurious about watching the sushi being made right in front of you. The counter is spacious and very clean, making it easy to dine alone without feeling awkward. I enjoyed simple and gentle nigiri sushi like mackerel, salmon, scallop, and tamago. The quality of the ingredients was good, and the prices were reasonable. I felt a bit guilty, so I ended up ordering the same items again (laughs). Thank you for the meal~ (´∇`)

Tsumami Sushi offers a variety of sushi options like akami, otoro, chutoro, uni, ikura, hokkigai, and ika geso. The restaurant is clean and has a casual atmosphere, making it welcoming for solo female diners. The quality of the sushi is comparable to conveyor belt sushi but at reasonable prices. They have a clear price list for easy payment. The only downside is that the restaurant stays open late for Asahikawa standards. It's unclear if smoking is allowed, as some reviews mention it, but during my visit, no one was smoking.

This year, the situation was bad due to the "new coronavirus" from early spring, but it gradually seemed to be settling down, and by summer, I was hoping it would be safe to travel to various places for tourism. Unfortunately, the situation has not improved recently. This makes me hesitate to embark on a long-distance drive in my beloved car. So, I decided to check "Tabelog" relying on my memory and records, thinking, "If I go to Hokkaido again, I want to eat this and that!" After walking around the Asahiyama Zoo in the afternoon, my stomach was empty and I was in good condition. I checked into the hotel early and went to the downtown area of Asahikawa for dinner. As always, I wandered around not knowing which restaurant to enter. Being a seafood lover, I stopped in front of a sushi restaurant. I was worried about being overcharged as a tourist, but I entered the restaurant. I took a breath with a beer, and the anxiety from earlier disappeared when the assorted sashimi arrived. I finally ordered the premium sushi. And to top it off, I even brought back some sushi to the hotel for a snack later. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, and it seemed like local regulars were coming and going, making it a delicious and affordable place. However, since I was seated at the counter, it was difficult to take photos, so I could only take one. It was a shame.

Overall, not bad! The cost performance is good, right? The sushi comes out too quickly! Once you finish one piece, you want the next one right away! It can make you feel rushed! I wish the balance between the topping and the rice was better!
