I had the opportunity to stay near a famous town called Urugawa where Saraburetto is famous, and I went there based on a recommendation from a local. The sashimi was truly fresh and delicious. I also had sushi at the end, and it was tasty. I wish they had more variety of sake, as there was only one type available, which was disappointing. I would have loved to try some local sake with the delicious sashimi. Good sashimi deserves good sake!

Visited for the first time on a business trip to Hidaka. The restaurant "Doraku" was recommended for me to try. The navigation led me through dark and deserted streets, making me a bit anxious. But I arrived safely! Inside, fishermen were enjoying drinks at the raised seating area, but I chose to sit at the counter and started with a beer. I ordered the daily specials, including tachiten and fugu karaage. The tachiten was perfectly fried, using fresh ingredients. I then ordered King Salmon Harasu Yaki, Aburabouzu no Saikyo Yaki, and Nitsubu. The tachiten was delicious, setting high expectations for the rest of the meal. I switched from beer to sake and enjoyed the rich flavors of the dishes. The King Salmon Harasu Yaki was particularly flavorful, and the Aburabouzu no Saikyo Yaki was elegant. The Nitsubu, made with local ingredients, was also excellent. The chef surprised me with additional dishes like Salmon Shirako Miso-zuke, Tachinonai Zou no Nimono, and Squid Sansho-zuke. Each dish was a perfect accompaniment to sake. The chef's skills were impressive, and the hospitality was outstanding. It would have been perfect if they had a better selection of shochu or ponzu. The atmosphere became lively as more customers joined, sharing stories about the delicious restaurants in Urakawa. Overall, a great dining experience with friendly service.

In the small and cozy atmosphere of a restaurant located in Sakaimachi, Urakawa-cho, known as "Nombei Street," you will be greeted with a cheerful "Welcome!" as you enter. The restaurant has a counter that seats about 8 people, a tatami room that can accommodate 12 people, and a larger tatami room at the back for around 20 people. In addition to classic menu items, they also serve dishes made with seasonal seafood. No matter what you order, each dish is flavorful and well-prepared. Since it is a Japanese restaurant, you will feel happy as the flavors of the ingredients are brought out. One highly recommended dish is the "Saikyo Yaki," which was made with salmon on this particular day, but they also serve it with sablefish on other days. As soon as you take a bite, the sweetness of the fish brought out by the Saikyo miso spreads throughout your mouth, and the more you chew, the more the sweetness and umami intensify. This dish is truly exquisite.
