After my rehabilitation session, I stopped by again. This time, I had ginger pork. The ginger pork dish had the same generous portion as other menu items, almost like a punishment game. The taste was decently good. The meat was thick with 4 slices, and the rice went down easily. I finished it all in no time. The ginger pork, rice, and meat all disappeared in no time.

I ordered the regular size katsu curry, but the portion is huge! It looks like three regular size curries. Can I finish it all? The pork is delicious, but there's so much of it. I hate leaving food, so I forced myself to finish at least half of it.

The regular portion is quite filling, but I thought I could have gone for the large portion, maybe not the ultra size though. It reminded me of the days when we used to order ultra-sized or 1-kilo pasta with friends during our student days. It was a nice way to end the day. The pork cutlet curry is popular (get it with less rice for just the right amount), but ordering a large portion is strictly forbidden (even a regular portion is punishment-level). If you can get a smaller portion, then I'd prefer that. The spaghetti Napolitan is rated four stars, and the meat sauce is also rated four stars. Next time, I'll try the hamburger curry with less rice, as the ginger pork portion is punishment-level. This time, the Napolitan spaghetti is the punishment, but I can endure it if it's Napolitan.

Although I vaguely remember visiting once in the distant past when I was a student, it felt like a first-time visit. I arrived at the parking lot around 11:45 on a weekday lunchtime. There were already two cars parked, and another car arrived after me. I was the first customer in line at 12:00, just before they opened, but the service ended up being in the order of our orders. The staff in the hall was not very friendly, with only one older lady. In the kitchen, there was a dandy gentleman exuding a cool atmosphere, also working alone. I thought there would be older staff members since it's an old shop, so it was surprising. My friend ordered the normal portion of Napoli spaghetti, while I ordered the small portion of pork cutlet curry. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed on the menu that there was a "very small" option for the curry, which I regretted not seeing earlier. It's important to carefully check the menu. My friend's Napoli spaghetti was juicy and had a flavorful ketchup sauce, which was very delicious. The beef curry had a thick, not too sweet or spicy roux with a good amount of spices, making it quite tasty. The ingredients included chunks of beef, carrots, and potatoes, all cooked to perfection. The pork cutlet was crispy, not too thick, and ideal for the curry. It seemed to be made from pork shoulder with a good amount of fat. It was a delicious cutlet that paired well with the curry, but it was quite large, which was a bit challenging for me. The amount of rice was also substantial, way too much for me, and I regret not realizing there was a "very small" option at the beginning. The curry alone was delicious, but having the cutlet made it even better. Considering the atmosphere and service of the restaurant, I'm not sure about revisiting, but the food was tasty, so I'll probably end up coming back. The tables are equipped with nostalgic game consoles (Idol Mahjong Broadcasting Station). One of their signature dishes is the Yakisoba-style spaghetti, priced at 1,280 yen for a regular serving. The concept of a regular serving becomes unclear with the generous amount of noodles provided. In addition to the regular serving, they also offer large (1,480 yen), ultra (1,780 yen), and 1kg (2,080 yen) options. The dish comes with consomme soup and is seasoned with a sauce similar to yakisoba. The flavor is not overwhelming and won't cause heartburn. The dish is packed with ham, cabbage, green peppers, and onions, all cooked in the yakisoba-style sauce. The portion size is generous, not just with the noodles but also with the variety of ingredients. The meal comes with a choice of hot or iced coffee, and the iced coffee served had a strong bitter taste.

It's been a while since I last visited. It can be a bit confusing to know if they are open or closed when you come at night, but if there is a sign saying "open" at the entrance, then they are open. They are open even on Sundays, which is convenient! They may ask if you are okay with waiting for about 30 minutes if it's busy, but I don't mind waiting as I came here on purpose. I ordered the regular cutlet spaghetti, and when it came out, it looked quite generous in portion. My companion ordered the regular Neapolitan, but it seemed like more than a regular portion. The taste was good, the meat didn't taste like it was from a can, and the cutlet was just the right thickness for the spaghetti. Coffee is also served after the meal! It's a rare restaurant these days where smoking is allowed in all seats. I'm not a smoker, but if you have a problem with it, then just don't come. I'll definitely come back because I want to eat here again!

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 30 years and everything I eat here is delicious! I am in my 40s and a bit older than the students who used to come here to this café and enjoy spaghetti with coffee, not really knowing much about the taste back then. As the title suggests, I wanted to eat the Napoli-style spaghetti that I used to eat when I was younger. Upon trying it again, the noodles are not too thick or too thin, with a slight chewiness. The ingredients include ham, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and the classic slightly sweet ketchup seasoning. I can't stop eating with my fork. It's so delicious! Despite a slight price increase, the regular serving at 980 yen is quite generous in portion size.

In times of emergency, the Mambou always walks three times from the station and makes sure to close (*_*) It may have been about two years since my last visit. I wasn't even hungry, but I had to go in. Such a rare opportunity! The interior of the restaurant was filled with a Showa era vibe! There were rows of Invader game tables, and the potted plants seemed either dried up or growing wildly. It felt like a comic book library. I remember playing Invader at a café before. I wonder what it's like here at night. I already knew what to order: the Katsu Meat in regular size for 1480 yen. The prices seemed a bit high. The regular size for 1480 yen, large for 1780 yen, ultra for 2080 yen, and 1kg for 2340 yen. It seemed overwhelming. When the order arrived, I realized it was quite a large portion, more like 2.5 servings! How can anyone finish 1kg of this?! The thickness of the tonkatsu was decent, and it was served piping hot. The pasta was also topped with meat, which was a nice touch. The meat sauce had a slight tanginess, which paired well with the pasta. I couldn't finish it all, but I did my best. I ordered some for takeout, and they had to pack it specially since it wasn't a standard option. I didn't expect the outcome when I first walked in, but I was happy to finally try the Katsu Meat here after waiting for over two years. The seasoning was a bit of a concern, but overall, I left feeling satisfied. The portion size of the regular Katsu Meat was impressive! Thank you for the meal! There were COVID-related notices posted inside the restaurant. It's been about two and a half years since the pandemic started, and the signs seemed weathered. Overall, it was an unexpected but enjoyable dining experience.

There are times when I just crave Elvia's meat sauce. When I want to boost both my mind and body. Although the impression of the restaurant is that the portions are large, both the curry and meat sauce are very delicious. Just be careful because even the regular servings of curry and spaghetti are quite generous. Let's order the amount that we can enjoy. I think I visited at the perfect timing when they were sautéing the onions, the aroma was so irresistible that it stimulated my appetite. Those onions will surely become that rich curry roux. I believe the meat sauce is also prepared with care. This neighborhood has other delicious restaurants like Elvia's, as well as long-established Western-style eateries, making it a truly happy town.

On December 11th, I had some errands to run in Sapporo after a long time. I rarely come to Sapporo unless I have important things to do. I always worry about accidentally stepping on the accelerator instead of the brake when backing out of a convenience store, or stopping at a merge point on the highway, or mixing up red and green lights when starting the car. It hasn't happened yet, but I worry about it. Sapporo is a bustling city compared to Tomakomai, where I live, and it can be overwhelming with all the hustle and bustle. After finishing my errands around noon, I headed towards Oyachi on the Tohoku Highway. I remembered a place across the street from the house where my grandparents used to live that served delicious hamburgers, called "Towararotto". However, when I arrived, there was a line at the entrance, and even customers waiting in their cars! I was surprised because I didn't remember ever waiting in line to eat there before. It reminded me of a certain dining spot in Tomakomai that is famous for its clam curry, where people line up early in the morning. I never feel the need to wait in line for food, unless it's for a rare video game cartridge. So, I decided to go back to the Tohoku Highway and turned right shortly after. That's when I saw the Red House, a nostalgic place that hasn't changed much over the years. I was seated at a retro chair that looked the same as before and ordered a "Hamburger Curry" while my wife ordered "Napolitan". Suddenly, a woman sitting alone nearby lit a cigarette! I was taken aback because I thought smoking was prohibited in restaurants nowadays. I politely asked if we could move to another table as I couldn't tolerate cigarette smoke due to a past health issue caused by heavy smoking. The table we moved to had a game console on it, which brought back memories of the ones we used to have in our store. The servings at this place were huge, as I soon realized when our dishes arrived. The hamburger curry was served in a plate the size of a B4 paper, filled with rice almost to the brim and a hamburger patty that was larger than a postcard. It was a massive portion that we couldn't finish, despite our best efforts. The Napolitan, on the other hand, was delicious and brought back memories of classic diner-style pasta dishes. Overall, the food was tasty but the portions were too much for us to handle. The atmosphere and the nostalgic feel of the place made the dining experience unique and memorable.

I decided to go for pasta since I've been on a cycle of curry and ramen. I ordered the meat sauce in a large portion, and as always, it was delicious. The restaurant has a very retro look both inside and out, but the food is really good. I think if they updated their style to be more modern, they would become even more popular. This place is known for its large portions, so next time I want to challenge myself and try something even bigger.

Second time visiting. Today, I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the regular size for 1450 yen. Even the regular size was satisfying. The meat sauce was just the way I like it. The parking lot was quite full, but there weren't many people inside, so I found it strange. As I was leaving, I went to use the restroom in the back and found a lot of people there (laughs). It was mostly women. Maybe they were trying to avoid being seen by others. It was a bit amusing.

I took a day off and planned to go walking and eat around. I started by walking from JR Atsubetsu Station to Nango 18-chome Station on the subway. I was aiming for a café in the area but couldn't find one. It was closed! I missed the small sign too and walked past it haha. Oh well, since my main goal was walking, I decided to wander around until lunchtime. And then, I finally arrived at the place I wanted to go, entering at 12:45. It wasn't too crowded, just two other customers. I sat at a table in the back (which was also a gaming table haha). I ordered the Katsu Meat Spaghetti for 1,480 yen. I asked for a normal portion, but it was quite a generous serving as rumored. The cutlet was thick and satisfying to eat. The spaghetti had a slightly strong acidity, the noodles were thin and delicious. It came with soup and coffee after the meal, and I somehow managed to finish it all! At my age, I wish the portion was smaller and the price lower (apparently they have smaller portions too), but that's their selling point so it can't be helped. They seem to specialize in Katsu Curry too, and if they had Katsu Curry Spaghetti, I would definitely come back... I love Katsu Curry Spaghetti!! Thank you for the meal (^o^)

I didn't have any pictures, so I couldn't remember if I had the regular size or the large size. I saw a picture of a chocolate parfait online, so I went back to the restaurant to check. The interior had tables lined up with chairs and I was led to the back. It turns out they can't make parfaits or some other menu items now. I used a 30cm ruler to measure and the pork cutlet curry bowl was shorter than 30cm but about 8cm tall. It had a generous serving of rice and was almost double the normal size. The pork cutlet was thick and the fatty part was especially delicious, juicy and sweet, mixing perfectly with the rice and sauce. My friend ordered hamburger curry, which came in a bowl over 30cm wide and about 10cm tall, roughly four times the normal size. The curry had lots of vegetables and was spicy and rich, while the hamburger was simple but juicy, creating an amazing combination with the curry. We had coffee after the meal, and I had a large cup of iced coffee. It's a fantastic restaurant with delicious large portions, and I plan to come back and try all the menu items.

Today's lunch. I visited this restaurant that I had been eyeing for their jumbo-sized dishes for the first time. The interior of the restaurant was like a classic Showa-era coffee shop. I enjoyed my meal while playing table games on the table, which was a nice change. I ordered the jumbo-sized meat sauce, which was around 1200 yen. And it was huge. I wonder how big it actually was. They had something called "Ultra" size, but I can't even imagine it. The taste was classic meat sauce, delicious in a homey way. Next time, I might try the spaghetti or maybe go for the Ultra size.

I haven't had Napoli-style pasta at restaurants much, but I don't really like the thick and chewy kind. I prefer Napoli-style pasta with thinner noodles that are easy to eat and not too chewy. Thank you for the meal!
