After a week since last Friday, I returned to Ikebukuro Tamagawa Teppanyaki Issetsu Steak & Bar. The starter dishes and desserts have new versions, with some content in a square box being revamped. The dish featured angel shrimp and white eggplant in an ajillo style, and the dessert resembled a kind of dorayaki: a thin pancake filled with sweet bean paste and cream. Both the cute presentation and the flavors were very much to my liking. The lobster and Sendai beef steak were reliably delicious. For the finishing touch, the garlic rice is made using finely chopped raw garlic, giving it an outstanding taste and aroma. This restaurant is perfect for dates, business meetings, or any occasion.

I heard that they only open for lunch on weekends, so I made a reservation for three people at 12 PM for Mother’s Day. When we arrived, the place was completely full. The chic, dark-themed interior creates a sophisticated and calming atmosphere, which is lovely. We started with drinks for a toast, and for the appetizers, we had stir-fried squid with a Chinese twist and duck meat on crackers. The original salad came with a sesame-flavored dressing. Although this was a simple set course, I enjoyed being able to sample a bit of fish and meat.
The fish dish was a perfectly cooked tai (sea bream) fillet; it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just delightful. The meat was a tender steak made from Sendai beef, served with a rare lake salt and wasabi. It was rich, soft, and juicy, truly delicious.
For dessert, we had an anniversary plate that featured an elegant arrangement: something like a crepe cooked on a teppanyaki grill filled with red bean paste and cream, alongside vanilla ice cream and some fruits. They even included a message, which made my mother incredibly happy. I was glad to convey my feelings of gratitude.
I would love to come back for dinner next time and try the red meat steak. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited this restaurant with my colleagues. The interior is spacious and clean, with a great atmosphere—it's a wonderful place. We enjoyed the sparkling wine so much that we had to order more. I went all out and made a reservation for the best course for my partner's birthday. The course included a dessert plate with a personalized message for my partner, so I didn’t post a picture of it.
**Service:** You might think that great service is expected for a higher-priced restaurant, but I was genuinely impressed. From the phone conversation during the reservation to the service we received at the restaurant, everything was excellent. When they brought out the birthday plate, they also took a Polaroid photo for us and gifted it on our way out, which was a nice touch.
**Food:** Everything was delicious, from the steak and lobster to the appetizers and dessert. One standout dish, aside from the steak and lobster, was the scallop that came with the lobster. It was larger than I expected, and it paired wonderfully with the sauce, making it very tasty. If you’re undecided about which course to choose, I would recommend one that includes the lobster and scallop combination. Additionally, I appreciated that we could choose between garlic rice or chazuke (tea over rice) for our final dish. Given that I had just eaten meat and was feeling pretty full, I thought it would be better to opt for something lighter like chazuke.
**Conclusion:** This was a great restaurant that I would love to visit again if the opportunity arises.

This was my first visit, and I enjoyed watching the chef prepare the dishes at the counter while savoring the delicious meat and food. That day, I had a course meal. From the appetizers onward, every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We shared red meat and sirloin, and the sirloin was incredibly tender and tasty. This might actually be my first time going to a proper teppanyaki restaurant. The appetizers were very sophisticated, and both the presentation and taste were excellent. The beef stew, large Hokkaido scallops, and a flatfish were exquisite. However, the A5-ranked Sendai beef's lean meat didn't quite match with the lake salt that was served on the side. I think I should have upgraded to the filet for a bit extra. The garlic rice and ginger soup that followed were also incredible. The highlight was the dorayaki filled with sweet red bean paste, cooked on the teppan. It was a very satisfying teppanyaki experience. At this age, I might prefer this over yakiniku!

This is a teppanyaki restaurant in Futakotamagawa. As the name "Steak & Bar" suggests, it has a bar-like feel with a great selection of cocktails. We chose a course menu, and I was impressed by how carefully the dishes were presented before the meat course, reminiscent of French cuisine. However, the portions are not overwhelming, allowing us to enjoy the meat without feeling too full. Considering the quality of the meat, I think it offers a good cost-performance ratio for a pleasant dining experience.

About a 5-minute walk from Futako-Tamagawa Station, this is a cozy teppanyaki restaurant. There are counter seats and table seats, but since there are more tables, if you prefer a counter seat, it's better to discuss it with the restaurant in advance. The service is very polite and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere suitable for regular visits.
The meal consists of an appetizer, seafood, meat, a finishing dish, and dessert, which is a fantastic lineup. The portion for the meat is 80g, but you can request more for an additional charge. The appetizer, skewered sukiyaki, was an interesting dish. I chose to eat the meat without upgrading, and I found the lean cut to be refreshing and enjoyable. For the finishing dish, I should have simply gone for the garlic rice. I chose the grilled rice ball with meat miso, but it couldn't quite compete with the garlic rice.
As for dessert, they served pancakes made on the teppanyaki grill! This was quite a unique and imaginative dessert that I hadn't encountered at other teppanyaki restaurants. Thank you for the meal!
