During the COVID-19 pandemic, we visited a yakiniku restaurant in Fukagawa for the first time. We were the only customers that day due to a previous cluster outbreak at the facility. The food was not particularly delicious, but we did receive a complimentary assortment of pickles and grilled vegetables. The only thing that was tasty was the rice. The atmosphere was quiet due to COVID, but the service was lacking as the staff were too chatty. Overall, it was disappointing and we probably won't be going back. Sorry.

When you go to Takagi, the must-try dishes are "sagari," "horumon," and "liver." Most of the menu items allow you to choose between salt and miso. Last time, I went with a large group of friends and ordered "yukke," "horse sashimi," "Genghis Khan," and "mino." I highly recommend the "yukke"! They also have a good selection of rice dishes, like stone bibimbap, but surprisingly, the curry rice is also recommended. It's packed in a small bowl and costs around 350 yen. It's not like the curry at a specialty curry shop, but it has a homemade taste that I really like. Personally, I enjoy drinking alcohol with my barbecue, so my per person spending tends to be on the higher side. 😂😂😂
