It's not about a restaurant, but a review of mille-feuille. Although it's a delicious shop, it's rare! The cream is too little and it feels too light. If this is their selling point, I would prefer a puff pastry that is more caramelized! This shop is known for Mont Blanc, eclair, and canele. It's quite disappointing to not come across a delicious mille-feuille shop. I think it's not necessary for them to include fruits like strawberries, as it might make the price go up drastically like in the case of BV. I haven't found a delicious shop like PHP that I used to eat in Tokyo. I would like to try to find a crispy pastry with plenty of cream mille-feuille.

I'm happy that my workplace has moved back to Chuo Ward, so I can buy cake on my way home from work. I visit quite frequently. Asaka-san's cakes have just the right amount of cream and sweetness, with a crispy pie crust. Lately, I've been loving their mille-feuille. Even if it's close to closing time, I can still choose a few options, and if they're sold out, they have thin pound cakes available so I'm never disappointed. When I really want mille-feuille, I call ahead to reserve it. It's great being able to stop by on my way home. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Near Nishi-18chome Station on the Tozai Line, there is a cake shop that I had heard of before and always saw people lining up during certain times. This time, I noticed that there was no one inside the shop, so I decided to go in. I tried the Mille-feuille, which was crispy and creamy. The spring flavors of grapefruit, champagne, pistachio, and strawberry were all beautifully balanced. The Mont Blanc was particularly large and satisfying. The shop also offers cookies, which I will try next time. I will definitely come back when I feel like having Mille-feuille again.

On a certain holiday, I stumbled upon a fancy cake shop located on Odori West 17th Street in Chuo Ward while taking a stroll outside after a long time. The shop did not seem to have a parking lot due to its location. Inside, the shop had an average size for a cake shop, with a small display of baked goods on the sides and a long showcase in the middle displaying luxurious-looking cakes. On this day, I chose a few items that caught my eye from the menu. "Tiramisu (570 yen)": I was intrigued by the white tiramisu, which was in a square cube shape with a slight gradient in one corner, and coffee bean chocolate as an accent. The surface was soft and fluffy, and the mascarpone mousse had a milky texture with a moist sponge in the center, giving a hint of coffee flavor. "Eclair au Praline (560 yen)": The staff mentioned that this was a new item, so I couldn't resist buying it. The eclair had a soft choux pastry with three layers of mousse in different colors - pistachio, tangy berry, and matcha. Each layer had a distinct flavor, and underneath was a thin crispy chocolate base. There was a refreshing berry jam instead of the usual custard cream, with cherry mousse and jelly as described. "Chou a la Creme (290 yen)": This was essentially a cream puff, with a surface sprinkled with burnt nuts for a fragrant touch. The soft and slightly unique pastry encased a custard cream that was not overly rich or sweet, but simply delicious. Overall, while the cakes were slightly on the expensive side, they were all intricately crafted and would make great gifts for cake enthusiasts. Thank you for the delicious treats.

I visited "Patisserie Asaka" on January 7th for the first time. It was recommended to me by an acquaintance, but I found out that they used to be closed on Wednesdays until last year. Today, my friend and I visited at 1:00 PM by car. We used the nearby "Odori Nishi 17-chome Coin Parking," which costs 100 yen for 20 minutes (as of January 7, 2023). The shop also offers a free hour of parking at the Times Kita 1 Nishi 17 parking lot for purchases over 2000 yen, but it's a bit far. The shop has a bright interior with full glass windows. They limit entry to three groups at a time for COVID-19 measures. There was one customer ahead of us. At the entrance, there is a register in front, a cake showcase to the right, and baked goods to the left. The items I purchased today were two Mille-feuille for 560 yen each, a Gâteau Fraises for 570 yen, and a L'harmonie for 570 yen, totaling 2260 yen. I got the Mille-feuille for my family (laughs). The L'harmonie had a combination of figs, strawberries, and red wine. The texture of the figs and the acidity of the strawberries were refreshing. The chocolate mousse was quite rich, but maybe a bit too sweet? Overall, it was a delicious experience.

I was taken to Patisserie Asaka right after it opened by my younger brother. Since then, I occasionally stop by for a treat. However, the one thing I always look forward to once a year is the pumpkin sweets. The pumpkin shortcake, Potiron, that appears only for 3 days right before Halloween. In 2022, it was available from October 28th to 30th. The gentle sweetness of the pumpkin and the beautiful color make it a delightful treat. Every year, I also purchase the Creme Potiron, which has an even stronger pumpkin flavor. I have enjoyed them for three consecutive years, and they are truly delicious. "I'm glad I could eat them again this year!" I smile happily. Visited in October 2022.

This is one of the shops that I don't really want to tell people about, haha. In Sapporo, this shop is my number one favorite for mille-feuille, cream puffs, limited edition fresh chocolate éclairs, and canelés. Sorry, it's quite a subjective evaluation, isn't it? After trying the fresh chocolate éclair, I haven't tried the passion fruit ones, but I keep going back for the salted caramel éclair, along with the canelés that I always buy! Oh, it was truly delicious! But of course, tastes may vary, right? The choux pastry here is of the soft type. If you prefer a crispy or flaky pastry, then this may not be for you. If the choux pastry had been caramelized or made crispy like the ones at other places, it would have been perfect. But maybe they intentionally made the choux pastry soft. If the pastry is too hard, the cream inside might spill out! Despite there being many specialty canelé shops that have popped up, this place stands out in terms of portion size, price, and of course, taste, making me not want to buy them anywhere else! When it comes to mille-feuille, it's hard to choose between B Van and C Bon. By the way, there is no parking lot. If you park in front of the neighboring shop, you will be gently reminded, as expected. The service inside the shop, detox water? (Lemon water? Lemonade?) is delicious.

The mille-feuille pastry at this shop is incredibly crispy and flaky, with a harmonious blend of bitter pastry and custard cream. The shop is located near Nishi 18-chome Station on the Sapporo tram line, in a stylish area. The shop has a retro design clock with a Michelin logo, which the previous customer asked about. It's a great place to enjoy delicious cakes, hopefully one day I'll see a red plate there. Thank you for the delicious cakes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The shop is run by the Azumi family from Patisserie Shiya and Egurudo, with a personal connection to Mejiro. The shop itself is not very big, but they offer around 15 types of wagashi (Japanese sweets) along with cakes and baked goods. Products purchased (tax included): - Mont Blanc (550 yen) - Rating: 3.8 - Gâteau Frais (500 yen) - Rating: 3.7 - Choux à la Crème (260 yen) - Rating: 3.7 - Champagne et Agrume (520 yen) - Rating: 3.5 - Tartlet aux Fraises (500 yen) - Rating: 3.3 Some products resemble those from Egurudo, but they have their own unique flavors and compositions. The appearance is quite authentic, but the taste is more approachable than expected, making it suitable for family use. Overall, the experience was positive and worth a revisit in the future.

We rarely buy cakes, but after having lunch at a nearby udon restaurant, we happened to pass by a glass-fronted shop on our way back to the car. Inside the shop, we saw beautiful and delicious-looking cakes displayed in the showcase! We had noticed this shop before going to the udon restaurant, so we decided to stop by. There were already about three groups of customers inside. The staff told us they would take our order anytime. However, we were indecisive, so we spent some time staring at the showcase. Then, we noticed a note at the bottom right mentioning that the Mont Blanc and pie cakes are made to order and have a shelf life of only one hour. We decided to order a pie cake that we couldn't imagine the taste of. We also ordered a strawberry tart, a mille-feuille, and an éclair-shaped apple pie-like dessert. The names were complicated and we didn't remember them (laughs). The prices were around 500 yen each, which seemed a bit expensive. If we bought four, it would easily exceed 2000 yen. When we brought the cakes home, we found that they were all quite sweet, and maybe we made a poor choice because they all tasted similar. If we had bought something like chocolate, we could have compared the flavors. They were all so sweet that they might be a bit too much for those who prefer lighter cakes that won't cause heartburn. Nonetheless, all the cakes were visually beautiful, so if you happen to pass by, you might find yourself stopping by this cake shop.

It was my first time at this restaurant and the customer service was very polite. There were many types of chocolate cakes available. I chose a cake with fig and strawberry inside the chocolate, and another one with pistachio. The pistachio cake had a smooth mousse on the outside, with cherry-like fruit pieces and sauce inside. The sponge was moist with a delicious chocolate sauce. When you put the fork in, the sauce inside came out, creating a perfect balance of flavors in your mouth. It was really delicious!

It's White Day, so it's time to get some cakes. There is a security guard at the entrance, ensuring safety. Today, I tried the Truffle Chocolate Cake, which is like a work of art. I wonder how they make it. The Mont Blanc cake is rich and delicious. The Yuzu Mont Blanc has a strong yuzu flavor with a hint of chocolate and a good balance. It's not too bitter and has a refreshing taste. I got three cakes for 1600 yen, and I am satisfied!

On the 5th occasion, I ordered a whole cake for my daughter's birthday. My son was born and we celebrated with sweets every month for a year, but we won't do that for the second child. It can't be helped, it's just how things are. So, as a way of making up for it, or rather because my wife wanted it, I bought a whole cake this time. Actually, I don't like whole cakes (I prefer a variety of desserts), but my wife really wanted one. There's not much to say about it, but it's basically a Gâteau Frais, so refer to my previous review for that.

The fourth dessert, Sicily 500, is a refreshing pistachio treat, which is a staple for my wife. The Sonata 490, featuring cheese mousse, cream, and strawberries, is also very good. It is light and refreshing, yet still impactful. On the other hand, the Symphony 520, with four types of chocolate, is rich and decadent.

I searched for a cake shop because I wanted to eat cake, and found this shop online. When I arrived at the address I found online, there was no cake shop there. I called the shop and they told me that the address was wrong. It was actually located in a completely different place, so I was quite lost. Haha. There were a few customers inside the small shop, and they had a wide variety of cakes. The prices were a bit high, but all the cakes were delicious! I sat on a bench outside and ate a cream puff, and when I finished, the staff came out to collect the trash. That kind of customer service is really nice! ✨

When visiting hundreds of dessert shops throughout the year, you start to be able to tell just by passing by which ones are delicious. This place got my blood pumping after a long time. I happened to walk by and decided to take a peek. The Mont Blanc and Pure d'Amour are made to order, so when I asked the staff for recommendations, they suggested these two. I chose the Mont Blanc and the Lychee and Raspberry cake from the showcase. The Mont Blanc was a classic choice, and the Lychee Raspberry cake was textbook perfect. Both were delicious, but I feel like they still have untapped potential. I look forward to trying out their new creations next time.

On a sunny day, the shop door was open as part of COVID-19 measures. I purchased two items this time: ① A Fraisier cake - I wanted to compare it with other shops. The buttercream was lighter than I expected, but the sweet strawberries on top created a perfect harmony. ② A Sicilian pistachio cake with cherry compote inside! Most pistachio cakes I've had only had the pistachio flavor, so I was surprised by the addition of compote. A customer who came in later said, "Oh, you have bread today. Last time I came, you didn't have any..." and bought some. So, I'm curious about the bread too. I might try it next time. Thank you for the delicious treats.
