We had soba for lunch, with me having clam dipping soba and my wife having tempura rice bowl. The soba was freshly made and had a great texture, while the tempura was crispy and delicious. Overall, the meal was enjoyable.

When I first started at my current job after retiring, there used to be a big box of calendars in the break room with a sign saying "Please take one home," but in recent years, the box has disappeared. I decided to go to the Aeon Mall to buy a calendar for my grandma. When I arrived, I was happy to see that the bookstore that used to be far away had moved closer. They had a wide selection of calendars, which was great. I decided to buy a daily lunch special at a soba restaurant inside the mall. I ordered the Kitsune Soba, which was part of the daily special for 869 yen including tax. The meal was okay, but nothing special. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were good, but the food was not very tasty. I probably won't be going back there next time.

I personally prefer stronger flavors, so maybe my taste buds are off, but the dishes were definitely lacking in flavor. Today is the 9th day of my 12-day consecutive holiday! Finally, the eye patch on my right eye has been removed as my cataract surgery is completed! I feel so happy and excited because I can now drive without glasses for the first time in 50 years! My wife and I are going to order new glasses together. For lunch today, we decided to visit a popular curry restaurant called "Yamawasabi" at Aeon Myojo store. I ordered a mushroom and pork miso dipping soba with tempura, while my wife ordered the special lunch set. The food was visually appealing, but my soba was a bit overcooked and the miso dipping was lacking in flavor. The tempura only consisted of sweet potato and shiitake mushrooms. My wife's soba was generous in portion and the tempura was crispy and delicious. Overall, the meal was satisfying, but I hope they improve the quality of the soba next time. Today is the first day of my three-day weekend. We decided to go shopping at Aeon Nayamidori. It's Tuesday, the 15th. It seems like a good day for seniors and discounts. The parking lot is packed with older customers. We bought a lot of summer underwear at a good price. We had lunch at Danryu for ramen, but I decided to switch to a soba restaurant. We ended up at Yamawasabi, a new concept by the same company as Danryu. I had the shrimp tempura lunch set, while my wife had the pork cutlet and soba set. The food was delicious, especially the soba noodles. The tempura was freshly fried and the portions were generous. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I hope the restaurant continues to prosper. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The soba restaurant that opened in the place where Ootoya closed down. The entrance has a high-energy display that sets a good mood. The menu seems to mainly consist of soba and rice sets. The prices are on the higher side, with a tempura and soba set priced at 1090 yen before tax. This isn't a lunch price. For reference, the zaru soba (cold soba) was 680 yen. The portion size is decent. The tempura in the soba sauce lacks flavor as it is fried in regular oil. The soba itself is quite ordinary and I got a bit tired of it halfway through. I used to frequent Ootoya for lunch, so if this place is a replacement, I personally don't think it lives up to it. It might be okay for an occasional meal while shopping.

Opened on December 2, 2020. I ordered the Wasabi Soba with dipping sauce for 890 yen. When the set was brought to me, my nose was immediately hit with a strong sensation (sweat). I thought this might be dangerous as I cautiously poured the sauce. The sauce was dark in color, so I carefully poured it so as not to make it too salty (laughs). In the end, I poured all of it, but it was still not enough (laughs). I had to ask for extra sauce (sweat). I added too much in a hurry, and it ended up being too salty, what a fool (laughs). Also, what was that strong sensation from the Wasabi earlier? Nothing happened (sweat). I had no choice but to grate the Wasabi on a separate plate. However, the grater was too fine, and I couldn't grate it at all (^-^ゞ I ended up eating it as it was (*´艸｀) Maybe next time I'll go for the mini rice bowl and soba set?

I had the daily rice bowl and soba lunch. On this day, I chose the kakiage bowl and coffee for my drink. Both the rice and soba come with free extra servings, so you can have quite a substantial meal if you want to.
