"Lounge Cafe Kato" 1-20 Minami 6-jo Nishi 16-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo 064-0806 About 4 minutes walk from Sapporo City Streetcar Nishi Line 6-jo Station I went with my wife to coincide with the free streetcar day. It is a cafe on the ground floor of an apartment building. When you open the door, there is a hidden adult hideaway. It feels like a cafe in a hotel... truly a lounge. With a calm carpet, heavy fabric-covered single sofas, soft lighting, subtle background music, and a lovely dry garden in the Japanese rock garden style. It is a very quiet space where time flows slowly. I had the Moss Coffee (dark roast) and Napolitan. My wife had the Iced Cafe Latte and Basque-style cheesecake. The Napolitan was very gentle in flavor. I like this one, but I also like Napolitan with lots of ketchup. My wife was very satisfied with the cheesecake and cafe latte. She liked the ratio of milk to espresso in the cafe latte. The cheesecake was not too sweet. Even though I'm not a fan of sweet things, it was a delicious cheesecake that I could eat. It also went well with black pepper! Anyway, I loved the atmosphere of the shop. It's a great place to relax and spend time without thinking about anything in a quiet space.

One day cafe hopping on a day off @ Part 2 I was taken to "Lounge Kisai Cafe" by my companion. The cafe is located on the first floor of an apartment building with 2-3 parking spaces in front of the store. As I opened the door and stepped inside, I was momentarily taken aback by the luxurious atmosphere that emanated from the facade. The spacious interior resembled a hotel lounge, with comfortable single sofas, low tables at four tables, and five counter seats, totaling about 20 seats. The large windows reaching up to the ceiling offered a view of a beautifully maintained garden, although the snow outside obscured the full view. I sat at a table by the window and perused the menu. The menu included a variety of coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer, whiskey, shochu, and a wide selection of teas, showing attention to detail. The food items offered included curry, pasta, rice bowls, and pizza, with daily dessert specials such as cakes and terrines. I ordered the "Napolitan @ 800" with a drink set, pairing it with the deep-roasted coffee "Koke @ 550 (set price)" and another "Koke @ 650" as a single item. For drinks, I ordered the coffee after the meal. The Napolitan arrived in about 10 minutes, with ingredients such as sausage, onions, and green peppers, giving it a traditional, rich flavor with plenty of sausage pieces that would please any dad. The coffee after the meal was a beautifully brewed cup with a crema on top, made with a DeLonghi machine. It had a strong acidity from medium to dark roast, which may vary in personal preference. Personally, I used to enjoy a similar taste for a long time, but recently I have been avoiding it in favor of light roasts. However, I don't dislike it at all. The menu also included a few pages of postscript about the small birds that visit the garden and an introduction to the owner, "Kana Nishino" (please see the photo for details). Some people may find the ambiance unsettling, but the customer-first, relaxed and attentive service was of high quality, suiting the mature generation who have lived life to the fullest more than young couples. I would love to revisit during the beautiful fresh greenery of the garden and try having a beer during the day. Thank you for the meal.

I found it on Instagram, and initially thought the cake set for 850 yen was a good deal, but it's now 1200 yen ( ´ •̥⌓•`) The atmosphere, the food, and the friendly staff at the restaurant are all wonderful, and I definitely want to come back here♡ It's a bit hard to notice as it's on the first floor of an apartment building, but there is a parking lot in front of the store, so you can also come by car. The interior is a sophisticated lounge with a lovely garden, even though there was snow. I'm sure it will be full of flowers and greenery once the snow melts ( ˶˙ᵕ˙˶ ) The Japanese-style table mats are beautiful, with cherry blossoms as accents, which is adorable! The Japanese atmosphere in the store also brings peace to the heart♡ They also have WiFi and rental space available. They have a variety of food and sweets, all of which look delicious! I was curious about the cheesecake, so I might try it next time (ꕤ ॑꒳ ॑ ) The Napolitan I ordered was a classic café dish, with bell peppers, onions, and wieners, a comforting taste♡ The coffee I ordered after the meal seemed to be made by a machine, but it had a strong and stable taste, and it was delicious! The counter seats are like a meeting place for the regulars, and it seems to be a sanctuary for the locals ( ˶ˊᵕˋ˶) I wish I could blend in as well! Thank you for the meal♡

Hakoke Lounge is like a hotel lobby lounge. If it were in Susukino, it would be considered a high-class club haha. Just by the name, it seems like Totoro wouldn't fit in here ;) But when I saw the sign outside that said coffee for 650 yen, I felt relieved. The atmosphere of the place is very luxurious, with a heavy and elegant interior design, and well-arranged furniture creating a quiet and calming ambiance. They also have a good Wifi connection, so it's a nice place to browse the internet on your laptop or smartphone. There was one customer already seated, and two people behind the counter who seemed like the owner and his daughter. The owner was very friendly and easy to talk to. The daughter was also very pleasant, making you want to stay there forever. Feeling hungry, I ordered the Spice Chicken Curry for 800 yen. It was served on a large round plate, with curry and vegetables neatly arranged. The vegetable salad looked appetizing with its colorful presentation and tasted delicious. The rice was a blend of five grains. The Spice Chicken Curry lived up to its name, with a warm and spicy flavor that spread in your mouth as soon as you took a bite. It was a delicious curry without any sweetness, perfect for adults. The level of spiciness was not like the typical curry at a cafe, it had a strong spice flavor which I really enjoyed. After the meal, you get a 100 yen discount on your drink. I opted for the Hana coffee, which is a medium roast with a hint of acidity. They also have Koke coffee, which is a deep roast prioritizing bitterness. You can choose according to your preference and enjoy a leisurely time in this lovely space. This place is not for those who prefer a lively atmosphere, but rather suits young ladies who appreciate a more refined setting. It's a place where you can bring a book, sit by the Japanese garden, sip on coffee, and read peacefully. I found a great spot at the back of the counter and I definitely plan on visiting again.

I found a charming cafe during my exploration and decided to visit it with a friend. When we opened the door, we were greeted by a relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful Japanese-style garden view from the window. I had a cake set since I had already eaten lunch, while my friend ordered a Bulgogi salad rice. The Basque-style cheesecake was rich and creamy, absolutely delicious. I also tried a sip of the milk miso soup that came with the salad rice, and it was surprisingly tasty. It was a wonderful place to unwind and we ended up staying longer than planned, enjoying the lovely ambiance as it gradually grew dim outside. Definitely a place I would love to visit again. 🌸

On a certain holiday in Hokkaido, I wandered around and bookmarked a lounge cafe located in Chuo-ku, Minami 6-jo Nishi 16-chome. The cafe seemed to have irregular opening hours. As I entered, I was greeted by a beautiful garden visible through large windows, a spacious area with elegant table seating reminiscent of a hotel lounge, and a counter seat for regular customers. The atmosphere was complemented by soothing Western music playing in the background. Despite intending to only order a drink, I couldn't resist ordering the "Matcha and Red Bean Pound Cake with Carbonated Plum Juice set (900 yen?)" due to the allure of the cafe and the lovely staff. The pound cake, made in-house, was surprisingly delicious with a perfect balance of matcha flavor and subtle red bean filling. The sweetness was just right, and it paired well with the light whipped cream. The plum juice, made from plums grown in the cafe's garden, was exceptional, with a natural sweetness and a hint of carbonation. The accompanying plum syrup added an extra punch of sweet and sour flavor. Overall, the experience in the peaceful ambiance, enjoying the high-quality desserts, made me look forward to trying their food menu next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This place feels like a lounge cafe with a relaxed table arrangement, a wide window overlooking a garden, and tropical fish. The coffee, covered with crema, has a rich deep roast flavor with a clear taste, a gentle sweetness from the coffee beans, and a subtle acidity towards the end. It's easy to drink even as black coffee. The cafe offers two types of coffee - Hana and Koke, as well as espresso, cappuccino, tea, herbal tea, and natural carbonated juice. Alcohol is also available, making it a place where you can enjoy a drink from noon. The interior is mostly wood-themed with new chairs, tables, and carpets in shades of brown. The BGM fits the atmosphere perfectly. I tried the Koke drink and had a peaceful and quiet time. The cafe has parking for three cars. It seems like it's not well-known yet, having opened in August 2019. I want to come back to try the lunch menu.
