A traditional Italian restaurant with a strong, salty flavor. It's a hidden gem in Kitashinchi. The portions are generous and reminiscent of authentic Italian cuisine. They use seasonal ingredients like octopus, matsutake mushrooms, and edible chrysanthemum, making the dishes delicious. The owner chef runs the place alone, so it's best to arrive early and be prepared to wait in the hallway, following Italian time.

Lunch was a 3,500 yen one-on-one match. I was surprised by the size of the Atlantic salmon and tomato salad. The salmon was surprisingly large and cooked perfectly. The dill aroma from the dressing mixed with the tomatoes was really nice. The three-element pork shoulder loin was cut with a Laguiole knife. Good knives make a difference. The stir-fried leeks and mushrooms underneath complemented the pork well. Overall, the dish was salty enough that there was no need to spread butter on the bread. The scallop and broccoli pasta had something special on it that really enhanced the dish. The dessert was panna cotta with fruit. Despite being short-staffed, everything was made efficiently. Thank you.

Italian WEST, a hidden gem that was ranked 79th out of the top 100 restaurants in Western Japan in the 2023 Tabelog rankings with an overall rating of 3.67. I visited on a Sunday at 11:00 and ordered the Chef's special lunch set (4 dishes) for 3,500 yen each. The dishes included a salad with octopus from Akashi and eggplant from Baba, grilled Ise Akadori chicken with lemon sauce, eel and zucchini spaghetti, and panna cotta. The restaurant only has 6 seats and operates on a reservation-only basis. The owner-chef runs the place single-handedly, and it was fascinating to watch his meticulous craftsmanship up close. The flavors of the dishes were rich and intense. The octopus salad was delicious with tender octopus and crispy eggplant, although the dressing was a bit too acidic for my taste. The grilled chicken with lemon sauce was surprisingly flavorful and well-cooked, surpassing even some beef dishes in quality. The eel and zucchini spaghetti had a slightly salty taste, with fish roe adding an interesting touch. The panna cotta was exceptionally creamy and indulgent. Each dish showcased the chef's skill and attention to detail, offering great value for the price. The small, one-man operation may explain the reasonable pricing. While service may be limited due to the solo operation, a cooperative attitude from customers can enhance the dining experience.

The dandy owner runs the restaurant alone so don't expect great service. But the food is delicious with generous portions. The marinated octopus and eggplant served at the beginning were refreshing and tasty. The chicken sauté was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The pasta with rare eel eggs was elegant and delicious. The wine selection was great and reasonably priced. A lovely restaurant with great effort put into it. I will definitely visit again.

This time I made a lunch reservation in advance. I can't believe this restaurant is run by just one person. The dishes I had were Akashi octopus and Baba eggplant salad, Ise Akadori chicken grill with lemon sauce, conger eel and zucchini spaghetti, and for dessert, panna cotta. The salad had plenty of octopus which was incredibly delicious, and the flavor and texture of the eggplant were also wonderful. The grilled chicken had a crispy skin and a gentle flavor, which was really tasty (even though I'm not a fan of chicken). The pasta had the perfect amount of salt, and the combination of conger eel and zucchini was exquisite. And of course, the dessert was also top-notch. The food was fantastic. Thank you very much. It was a wonderful meal.

A renowned Italian restaurant in Osaka's Kita-Shinchi area! The master is reserved but his skills are unquestionable. Whenever I come to Osaka, I always make sure to stop by here. I used to come here for lunch often, but now I only come for dinner, so this time I visited at night. Every dish had a rich flavor and I was satisfied.

The 3,500 yen lunch course includes salad, meat, pasta, and dessert. At first glance, it may seem a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth it. The salad, which was supposed to have eggplant but had water eggplant instead, was a great start. The grilled Ise Akadori chicken with lemon sauce was delicious. The pasta with conger eel and zucchini was unique and tasty. The dessert was also delightful with a great fruit flavor. Even though I dined alone, the staff were attentive and made me feel elegant while enjoying a delicious lunch. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

First visit. Starting at 6:00 pm on Sunday in Kita-Shinchi, it was a private reservation status. The dishes made by the seemingly intimidating gray-haired owner were all very delicious (^O^). Of course, the owner was not scary at all and kindly answered my foolish questions about Italian cuisine. The dishes of the day were: 1. Tuna tartare with Yamachu tomato flavor, a perfect harmony. 2. Cold capellini with Toyama white shrimp and yuzu, light and refreshing. 3. Grilled Chiba clams with Genovese sauce, the sauce was incredibly delicious. 4. Tortellini stuffed with apple and Gorgonzola, a unique and delicious flavor. 5. Grilled asparagus with cherry shrimp scrambled eggs, a perfect combination of flavors. 6. Fried conger eel cutlet and caponata, the conger eel cutlet was unexpectedly delicious. 7. Grilled wagyu beef ichibo with jumbo mushrooms, enhanced by garlic butter sauce. 8. Saffron risotto with sautéed abalone, a rich flavor that matched well with the abalone. 9. Panna cotta, extremely rich and delicious. Everything was really delicious. Just a lot of dishes, so ended up with a full stomach, but you can't resist delicious food (^◇^;). I would love to go back again. It was a restaurant that made me want to visit again. It was delicious ♫ Thank you for the meal (^O^)

Italian restaurant in a mixed-use building that requires reservations! Made a reservation online about a month in advance and visited. For lunch, there are two shifts with a strict one-hour limit. You can't enter until your designated time, so be careful. Lunch is a set course for 2200 yen. When you enter, you'll see it written on a sign, so get excited and just wait to be seated. The interior is quite narrow with only a counter, and you'll be quite close to the customers next to you. The chef is working alone and will serve and clean up across the counter, so it may not be recommended for those who dislike that. On a day in November, the lunch included yellowtail salad, grilled chicken, scallop and rapeseed pasta, and panna cotta with slightly intense flavors, but all were delicious and generous portions! It's hard to believe that all this can be done in one hour by one person from appetizers to dessert, but the food is cooked right in front of you and the aroma is irresistible. The chef may seem a bit temperamental, but I enjoyed this place for its delicious Italian lunch. I'd like to visit for a leisurely dinner next time!!! Thank you for the meal.

I had some business in Umeda and wanted to have a leisurely meal by myself, so I stumbled upon this restaurant. I made a reservation for 12:30 and arrived a little early, waiting outside the restaurant. When the time came, all 7 counter seats were already reserved. The course menu was fixed and chef's choice. The daily menu was written on a blackboard, but I didn't notice it until a while later. There was beer and wine available to drink, but I had to refrain from alcohol that day. The appetizer of persimmon and shrimp salad was very delicious. Next was the chicken sauté. The crispy skin with mustard sauce-coated cabbage underneath was delicious. The pasta was fish and kujo green onion in tomato sauce. The thick noodles had a satisfying texture that I love. The dessert was panna cotta. I was impressed by how they managed to serve all 7 dishes at once. The restaurant is small and only has a counter, making it easy for even one person to dine comfortably. Thank you for the meal.

Cost performance was good, but the taste was not as expected. I ended up feeling a little disappointed after getting full. We were rushed because the second group was coming, so we were hurriedly seated. The service at the restaurant was cold. Also, I saw that they reused the spoon that was used for tasting without cleaning it properly... I wish they had wiped it with a paper or washed it! Especially during the time of COVID-19, I felt that there was not enough consideration for hygiene.

I found a shop that can serve a mini course meal in about 1.5 hours. The pasta seasoning seems to go well with wine. The drink menu is displayed on the wall, but I didn't see anything other than wine, so I refrained from drinking alcohol that day. It's a counter-only shop. The dishes come out efficiently and they are delicious. #TimeDifferencePost #Memories #MemoryGram #Osaka #Kitashinchi #Gourmet #OsakaGourmet #KitashinchiGourmet #KitashinchiLunch #Italian #HappyBirthday #Neighbors #NeighborFriends #ilpepe

On Sunday night, I made a reservation through Tabelog and visited the restaurant. There were no other customers, so it seemed to be operated by just one person. Because of this, it was a bit difficult to take pictures, so I only have a photo of the exterior. However, the food came out smoothly and overall it was delicious. The only downsides were that they only had wine and beer for drinks, and some dishes were a bit too salty.

I was able to watch the chef cooking from the counter, and he moved on to the next menu while observing us. When I made a reservation, I requested not to use tomatoes in the Italian dishes, and I thank you for accommodating my request. First, the salad with spear squid was amazing with the perfect balance of sweetness from the squid and vegetables. The crunchy vegetables were addictive. The second dish was a voluminous roasted pork loin with a great meat texture that tasted delicious with the sauce, which seemed to have a lot of tomato sauce, but the owner was considerate enough to make sure it was okay for me. The third dish was pasta with conger eel and celery, which was unusual for a main course, but it was surprisingly delicious. The conger eel added a nice touch, and the pasta was well done. For dessert, we had panna cotta with melon and watermelon, which were very sweet and rich, and absolutely delicious. The price was not expensive, but I had a luxurious time and would like to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I chose this restaurant to have lunch with a friend in Kitashinchi. The lunch is available in two time slots, 11:15 am or 12:30 pm, and reservations are required due to the limited seating of 6 counter seats. The lunch menu consists of only one option priced at 2200 yen. The meal included a firefly squid and water eggplant salad with a rich dressing, a generous portion of roasted pork loin, asparagus and prosciutto pasta with a refreshing aftertaste, and a creamy panna cotta dessert with sweet strawberries. The dishes are served one after another quickly due to the limited time, making it a good option for those looking for a delicious and cost-effective lunch without lingering for too long. Thank you for the meal!

I visited for the lunch course from 11:15. The lunch is divided into two sessions, so the dishes are served quickly and you have to eat quickly. There are appetizers, meat dishes, pasta, and dessert, and the portion is sufficient. The pasta was Carbonara, with a strong and authentic flavor. I would like to visit at night next time.

The lunch course was really great! The portion was just right and very delicious. I think it's amazing for 2200 yen. The atmosphere of the restaurant was like a hidden gem and lovely. I got a bit lost and arrived a little late, but the restaurant called me right on time and although I apologized for getting lost and being late, they just said "Hurry up" in an angry tone and hung up, which made me feel reluctant to go. However, I'm glad I went. The food was delicious and since it seemed like only one person was running the place, I felt really sorry for calling while they were preparing dishes. (But the phone call response still made me sad, so I deducted one star, sorry.) If you are planning to visit the restaurant, I recommend being punctual with your timing! You will have a luxurious time there. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small building and a bit hard to find, so consider the time you might spend getting lost and plan accordingly.

I went to a restaurant with high ratings on Tabelog, but it was quite small with only 6 seats. They had lunch in two shifts with full reservations required. The meal consisted of appetizers, meat dishes, pasta, and dessert, but they didn't ask for drink orders. There was a bug in the appetizer, and even though I dropped a plate and made a loud noise, the owner didn't say anything. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. It was my first time there, and I will never go back.

I visited this restaurant for dinner. The chef manages the 6-seat counter alone. The service is a bit slow, but I enjoyed sipping on a glass of champagne while waiting. I'm not a fan of fish dishes due to the strong smell, but the risotto, oysters, hirame (flatfish), and pasta were delicious. The wine selection was good. I would love to try the risotto again for lunch. I had red, white, and sparkling wine, and the total bill for one person was around 13,000 yen. The dishes I tried included: tuna cheek salad, crab risotto, sakura shrimp frittata, swordfish cutlet, oysters meuniere, large mushroom, wagyu beef, hirame (flatfish), white asparagus, and hotaruika (firefly squid) capellini.
