An elderly couple assisted us and they were very friendly. We went there to buy warabi mochi, sesame dumplings, sweet white sesame mochi, and sakura mochi, but it seems like we went at the wrong time as they were not available. I regret not buying more of the delicious sweet white sesame mochi with a perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness. I would like to visit again.

I visited on a regular day. This Japanese confectionery shop is located along Shimoine-dori in Teine. There is a parking space in front of the store. They mainly sell rice cake sweets such as ohagi, daifuku, and dango. This time, I had:
- Daifuku ¥140
- Mame Daifuku ¥140
- White Sesame Mochi ¥140
The daifuku was elegant and not too sweet, allowing you to enjoy the taste of the ingredients. The white sesame mochi, with its slightly sweet and salty flavor, was a delicious treat especially for sesame lovers. Thank you for the meal.

I wasn't satisfied with my lunch, so I decided to buy some snacks on my way home. This is part of the neighborhood series, located on Shimoina Street. Our shop is a small traditional Japanese sweets store, and the only thing I have bought here before is skewered rice dumplings. So, this time I got skewered rice dumplings (soy sauce, sesame, red bean paste) for 90 yen each, 4 in total. The rice cakes were soft since they were made on the same day, and the seasoning was mild. As usual, I got the soy sauce flavor, which always hits the spot for me. It's not fair to compare, but these skewered rice dumplings are completely different from the ones you find at the convenience store checkout. Thank you for the meal.

Along the Teine River in April 2022, the weather was good. I took a leisurely stroll and stumbled upon a mochi shop run by a mild-mannered owner. Despite not having any prior information, the shop seemed popular as there were only two types of mochi left by noon! I bought up all the sakura mochi they had, which was only two pieces! It was delicious beyond my expectations, with a delicate and elegant taste. The perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness, along with the pleasant scent of cherry blossom leaves, showcased the artisan's skill. I'll have to go earlier next time! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is a story about visiting a traditional Japanese confectionery shop called "Kamuin" during the spring equinox. I bought some "Ohagi" which is typically eaten during this time, even though technically it should be "Botamochi." The shop had a refined sweetness in their red bean paste, and the rice cake had a nice texture with visible grains. I had been meaning to visit Kamuin for about 5-6 years now, even though it's close to my home. I might try some other traditional sweets next time. It was a delicious treat, thank you!

I had visited this place once before, but it had been a while since then due to not being able to find the right timing. There is parking space for a few cars in front of the store. The mochi here is firm but easy to bite into, making it one of my favorite types of mochi. This time, I had the walnut mochi, and the flavor of the walnuts was delicious, making me want to eat more. It's not easy to visit this place often due to its location, but whenever I am nearby, I definitely want to stop by. Thank you for the meal.

It's a calming atmosphere at this traditional Japanese sweets shop. They have a wide variety of sweets, making it hard to choose. The service is warm and friendly. The mitarashi dango was exquisite, with a gentle and delicious taste. The sweet potato sweets taste like you're eating a perfectly cooked sweet potato. While not flashy, the shop offers lovely traditional sweets that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. There are still many other treats I want to try, so I will definitely visit again.

I stopped by the "Kamui in" shop on my way back from the Teine Hospital, which I visit once every two months. It is located along Shimoteine Street, near Bikkuri Donkey. You can park in front of the shop. This time, I purchased "Mame Daifuku (smooth red bean paste)" for 140 yen, "Chestnut Manju (140 yen)", and "Japanese-style Castella (chestnut) (140 yen)". I've always known about this shop but finally had the chance to visit. The traditional Japanese sweets were delicious. Although I love Western sweets, Japanese sweets like Daifuku are also great. My wife and I enjoyed them. We also received a small gift, making it a wonderful shop. We will definitely try other Japanese sweets next time.

- White Sesame Mochi
I think it was around 120 yen, but I'm not sure so I didn't include it. Inside, there is smooth red bean paste. At first glance, you can see that it is covered with plenty of white sesame, almost mistakable for kinako powder! The mochi is soft, and the flavor and aroma of the white sesame are delicious! The red bean paste is also just the right amount of sweetness and pairs well with the white sesame! Thank you for the meal!

【Takeout】A Japanese and Western confectionery shop located along a main road in Teine Ward, Sapporo City. The shop is situated slightly towards Otaru from the Trial along Shimo-Teine Street in Teine Maeda, Teine Ward, Sapporo City. One of my favorite shops, where I often stop by after school to indulge in sweets. Visited the shop again in the morning of November 25, 2020. Just like Colette, this shop is well-known among my former colleagues who live in Teine. The building is set back a little from the road, making it easy to miss while driving. I came to buy sweets after a long time, and one thing I always want to buy here is the white sesame mochi. There were only 3 left, so I bought them all. The mochi, with grated white sesame mixed with sugar and sprinkled on top, was soft and the white sesame added the perfect sweetness and texture. I love sweet things, but I usually can't finish them all. However, I finished all the white sesame mochi from this shop on the same day because they were so delicious. I also bought 2 chestnut dorayaki, which were already sold out. The dorayaki with chestnuts inside a waffle-like pastry was delicious just by looking at it. Before coming here, I bought a chocolate cake and 3 white sesame mochi, but I couldn't resist buying 2 of these dorayaki as well. The dorayaki batter and red bean paste were elegantly sweet and delicious, and the chestnuts were delightful to eat. I felt completely satisfied and fulfilled after eating them.

This is a place in Teine Ward, Maeda 5-14 along Shoten Street. Please check the exact location on the map on Tabelog as usual. I visited this shop for the first time after being curious about it every time I passed by on Shoten Street. I parked my car in the front parking lot and entered the shop. I first looked at the sweets in the case and found something that caught my eye - they had both smooth red bean paste and chunky red bean paste daifuku. So, this time I bought one of each and left the shop. Now, back at home, I checked the cross-section. The smooth red bean paste daifuku was slightly flat, while the chunky red bean paste one had a mountain shape. I tried the smooth red bean paste one first. The mochi was subtly salty and delicious, and the smooth red bean paste was smooth and not too sweet, making it easy to eat. Next, I tried the chunky red bean paste one. The mochi was still delicious, and the chunky red bean paste had a rich red bean flavor, not too sweet, and easy to eat. As for which one was better, it's hard to say - it's a matter of preference. Personally, I prefer the chunky red bean paste one.

I bought strawberry daifuku, sesame daifuku, and bean daifuku (with whole beans). The strawberry daifuku is a bit pricey at 370 yen, but it's worth it! The strawberries are huge and very juicy! It's limited to 5 per person, so it must be popular. And it's so delicious! The bean daifuku has a strong bean flavor. There's a famous sweets shop that sells bean daifuku locally, but this one has a different kind of deliciousness. The roasted bean aroma goes so well with the light and refreshing anko. I always end up buying bean daifuku when it's available. And then, my favorite, sesame daifuku! The owner would sprinkle lots of white sesame seeds on top and it's so good! Just sesame and mochi alone are delicious, but when you add the anko... it's just the best. It was my first time trying sesame daifuku, I wonder if they sell it regularly. I'll have to visit when I'm in Teine! Daifuku and dango must be eaten on the same day, so buy only what you can eat that day.

The mochi at "Kamuiin" is delicious, especially the white sesame daifuku and coffee daifuku, which are incredibly tasty and addictive! But what surpasses their regular menu items is the winter limited edition "strawberry daifuku." Inside the daifuku, there is a perfect balance of amaou strawberry and white bean paste, light and refreshing, making you want more after just one. Since it's only available during the amaou strawberry season, the winter limited edition is something to look forward to every year! Last year, it was available from January to February, but this year, it's only available in February. It's a yearly tradition that brings joy!

This shop is one of my favorites. The white sesame mochi is very soft and has a rich sesame flavor, which pairs perfectly with the daifuku. I highly recommend it. This time, I purchased white sesame mochi, beko mochi, bean daifuku, and white daifuku cherry blossom mochi. If you visit early, you can also enjoy small daifuku samples, which is a nice bonus.

Happy New Year! Let's start the year by visiting a local shop in Teine Ward. The name of this shop, "菓夢inCome in," sounds very auspicious as it means things like "winning," "food becoming in season," or "money coming in." What dreams do you have for this year? Last year, I counted the number of my favorite ice creams, but this year I'm thinking of counting the number of my favorite yakitori skewers or donburi bowls...haha. Now, off to the first shrine visit of the year, with a little mishap of not getting all the sweets I bought due to a mix-up. Nevertheless, the mugwort mochi was delicious, with a strong mugwort flavor that was truly enjoyable. The ladies preferred a rival shop nearby, but this one certainly didn't disappoint. The rich aroma of mugwort made it a delightful treat. Thank you for the meal!

On a certain holiday, I started walking from Hoshioki Station, and as I passed by, I discovered this place! Since my home was far away, I entered with concerns about the products. It's a lovely Japanese sweets shop with a nice name. There is a small parking space in front of the store. The interior is not very spacious, with two glass showcases displaying mochi-related items and dried sweets separately, and there seems to be a workshop at the back. On this day, after careful consultation with the owner from the menu, I decided to leave early to enjoy the selected items. I tried a little bit of the "White Sesame Mochi (120 yen)" which was covered in a large amount of crushed white sesame, sweet and salty with a delicious nutty flavor, and I made sure to eat every last bit of the powder. If I visit again next time, this is a must-try item. The "Bean Daifuku with Whole Beans (120 yen)" had a soft and stretchy mochi with plenty of black beans, and the participation ratio of the fragrant bean paste was also impressive. The "Tsubu Dango (80 yen)" with a large amount of bean paste was a good match with the grass dumplings' flavor. The "Black Sesame Dango (80 yen)" with black sesame seeds had a sweet and salty, nutty taste that paired perfectly with the slightly elastic mochi. The "Soy Sauce Dango (80 yen)" had a feature of being served with sauce again after ordering, and the sauce had a delicious umami flavor, enhancing the soft yet chewy dumplings. I was impressed by the unexpectedly high potential of the mochi and the owner's very serious and kind personality, even though it was just a passing visit. It's difficult to find the right timing to stop by, but if I have the chance, I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the delicious treats.

Friendly staff. This time, I tried the red bean daifuku and mugwort mochi. The mochi was as soft as earlobes, with a mild sweetness.
