Today, there was no accident, but I had a scary experience on the icy road. It's not enough to just keep a safe distance and speed. Of course, it's important to maintain a safe following distance and brake early! Moving on to the main topic, I went to "Jikkatei" for dinner. I don't want to say it, but have you noticed that there's been an increase in that thing recently? According to the information, "Jikkatei" may have to close due to the impact of that thing, so I decided to visit before they potentially have to close again. After struggling to find a parking spot, I parked and went to the front of the restaurant where a staff member kindly guided me. Despite being busy with other matters, they opened the restaurant, which made me happy. The owner was friendly and easy to talk to. We chatted about various things, creating a cozy atmosphere! The menu seems to change daily. Today, I was in the mood for meat! I decided to order the "Pork Chop (¥680)", which is a menu I don't usually eat. There were two types of rice, and I chose the rice cooked in a pot. After a short wait, the set meal arrived! Can you tell from the photo the elaborate lineup of dishes? The Pork Chop, cabbage, rice cooked in a pot, a dish made with lasagna sheets and sausage, rolled omelette, small salt yakisoba, simmered konjac and daikon (?), carrot and daikon namasu (with green seaweed!), miso soup with spinach, daikon, and carrot! I also had tea to drink. They even offered a free extra serving of rice! Although there was a burnt bottom, I didn't mind at all because the price was low and the content was so fulfilling. The side dishes were all homemade, not frozen foods! The main Pork Chop was thinly sliced and each piece was tender, reminding me of my mother's cooking. The ketchup was sweet, with the richness of Worcestershire sauce and soft onions, making it perfectly sautéed! The green seaweed was a first for me, and its wasabi-like tingling sensation added a nice touch! All the side dishes, aside from the main Pork Chop, were delicious and none were overshadowed. It's amazing that such elaborate dishes only cost ¥680! And to top it off, they even served coffee and a snack after the meal! The owner's approach of interacting with customers without any barriers creates a warm atmosphere in the restaurant. I'll have to try another menu next time! By the way, there's a day once a month when ramen is available, and on that day, you can also order An-kake Yakisoba! Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for the second time with a friend. I ordered the Stamina Set Meal, which came with a variety of side dishes and was still very affordable. The rice cooked in the clay pot was incredibly delicious, I even had seconds. I enjoyed putting the Stamina Set Meal on top of the rice. The side dishes were also very tasty. The Haskap had a sweet and sour taste, which was great for changing up the flavors. This is just my personal diary, so please do not rely on my evaluation or comments.

The restaurant is located in a building similar to an apartment, in a somewhat hard-to-find place. It seems to be run by a kind mother alone. There are only table seats, and Okinawan souvenirs and handmade goods are also sold. I ordered the Salmon Fry set for 780 yen, and my partner ordered the Pork Chop for 730 yen. Both dishes were very delicious and worth more than their price. Especially the rice, which was cooked in a clay pot using rice directly sourced from a farmer, was so delicious that it stood out on its own. It's understandable why many people go for seconds. It's a delicious eatery that makes you want to visit again and again. Please note that this is my personal diary, so the ratings and comments may not be reliable.

On Saturday, on my way back from drinking, I found a restaurant open, so I had a bowl of ramen as a finishing touch. I had salt ramen with pork back fat, which was just right for my stomach after drinking. The gentle soup and tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat were very delicious. #HokkaidoGourmet #ChitoseGourmet #Ramen #LoveRamen #SaltRamen

It's a restaurant that renovated an apartment. When you enter, a friendly elderly woman greets you. The 680 yen set meal with fried chicken is really good, especially the rice and miso soup. The rice is well-cooked and tasty, and the miso soup is simple yet flavorful. The fried chicken has a slightly sweet marinade, crispy coating, and tender meat that goes well with the rice. The other side dishes are also home-style but well thought out in terms of flavor and texture. The owner is very hospitable, offering extra rice for first-time customers and serving mentaiko (spicy cod roe) as a complimentary side dish. They even provide free coffee after the meal. It's a homely meal but delicious, and I enjoyed it.

For lunch today, I had the recommended salmon fry at a nearby local restaurant. The fry had a crispy coating and a fluffy interior, which was delicious. The rice cooked in a clay pot was also fluffy and tasty, and all the side dishes were delicious. The ramen and yakisoba with thick sauce are served irregularly. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, making it feel like being at home. When I first saw the picture of the restaurant, I remembered that I had lived in the neighboring apartment for a few months over 20 years ago when my house was being rebuilt. #HokkaidoGourmet #ChitoseGourmet #Home #ChitoseLunch #Lunch #SetMeal

Jikkatei is an interestingly named restaurant located in Hanazono. It is not easily accessible, as it is along a road that is not often traveled despite being in the city. When entering from the east side of the Card Shop Takashima Chitose store, you can see a building with the name of an apartment written on it. Unlike most apartments that face the road, this one has its side facing the road, with a gravel road in front of the entrance that can fit one car, and three parking spaces at the back. Inside the restaurant, there was a woman in her 50s managing the place, with one group of customers already there. Another person entered after us, and it seemed like they were all regulars. The menu was written on a small board, with items priced at 730 yen and 680 yen. Since the curry rice was sold out, we decided on the fried chicken set and the udon with beef set. The fried chicken set that arrived was quite generous for its price of 680 yen. When I took a bite, I was surprised by the sweetness. It seemed like the local preference for sweetness equated to deliciousness. The side dishes and multigrain rice were delicious, but the miso soup was not to my liking. When asked if I liked spicy food, the owner brought out homemade spicy pickles, which were delicious and spicy enough to eat with a bowl of rice. The female owner seemed to enjoy interacting with customers, and her warmth was evident throughout the meal. As we left, she kindly said, "Please come again." It was a pleasant dining experience.

On a certain holiday afternoon, I had the adult Hayashi Rice at Jikkatei located at 5-10-6 Hanazono, Chitose City (730 yen). It comes with three small side dishes, pickles, and sumire soup. The side dishes on that day were pumpkin stew, burdock and hijiki salad, and deep-fried fish and komatsuna stir-fry. You can choose from two types of rice, and I chose the rice cooked in an earthen pot. Jikkatei seems to have opened in July 2019. It's a shop run by a woman alone. It's located a bit off the main road in a residential area, so only locals nearby would know about it. They also serve ramen once a month, but unfortunately, they didn't have it on the day I visited. The menu changes daily, but on the day I visited, they had dishes like hamburger (680 yen), adult Hayashi Rice (730 yen), gyudon (730 yen), fried chicken (680 yen), ginger pork (680 yen), pork chop (680 yen), and breaded hokke fish (730 yen). The adult Hayashi Rice I had was delicious, with plenty of meat, onions, and other vegetables, served with earthen pot rice. It reminded me of the Hayashi Rice I had at the house of a teacher from the small elementary and junior high school in the mountains I used to attend when I was a kid. As it was my first visit, they also served me coffee for free, along with a chocolate. Next time, I'll definitely try their challenging ramen! It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

I found this place on Google Maps and checked it on Tabelog. kimumiyu-san has visited here. Good job! There was no one inside when I arrived, and only one person came in after me. The background music was nostalgic J-pop. The owner said they have ramen once a month, and this week they have tonkotsu ramen. The salt ramen was delicious, with plenty of noodles (190g) and a strong ginger flavor in the soup. The clay pot rice was also delicious and fluffy. The ramen (with rice and coffee as a service) cost 600 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

While looking at Google Maps, I discovered a new restaurant I didn't know about. It was a weekday and I went alone for my first visit. They serve Hirekatsu for 730 yen in a room of an apartment in a residential area. There was a sign outside and a plate on the doorknob saying "Open" and "Please come in with your shoes on." I thought they only had one daily special, but they actually had a variety of menu items ranging from meat to fish. When I asked if they served ramen based on the photos I saw on Google, they said they serve it about once a month, usually around the second Thursday. The food was served with many side dishes, just like the name suggests, it felt like home-cooked meals. The food was marinated with salt koji, and the vegetables were abundant, providing a well-balanced nutrition. The Hirekatsu was tender and delicious. They also served pickled haskap berries, which tasted like umeboshi, and I finished it by putting it on top of the rice. They mentioned that they cook the rice in a clay pot, but it was served in a regular bowl. The sign also mentioned something about "clay pot." I ordered coffee, and they said it was free for first-time customers. The bright female staff was handling everything alone, and I found myself talking too much and staying longer than intended. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

This is my second time here. The price has gone up from 720 yen to 800 yen. This time, I ordered the silver salmon set meal. Everything I order here is delicious. The cheerful mother runs the place by herself, and it has become a gathering spot for regular customers. The atmosphere is great, but it's a shame that the regulars smoke cigarettes. In the winter with no ventilation, the smell of smoke is strong, which can be tough for non-smokers.
