"Nishimura Noodle Shop (Tsurumi, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) - The owner, who previously served as the manager of Tsurume Tsurumen Tsurumi Main Store, took over and opened this lively and popular shop in May 2020. The restaurant is known for its energetic atmosphere and has been a hot topic on Twitter. Date: February 28, 2023. Pork belly slices and burdock tsukemen for ¥1250. Noodles: Thin, with a fresh and smooth texture that effortlessly absorbs the dipping sauce. The perfect balance of slipperiness and firmness allows the sauce's flavor to shine, while the supple chewiness creates a satisfying bite. Dipping sauce: Light but rich, with a savory sweetness and a hint of acidity that complements the umami of chicken and seafood flavors. Toppings include sliced pork belly, tender bamboo shoots, crunchy burdock, green onions, chili peppers, and yuzu peel. The reviewer enjoyed mixing the burdock with the noodles to enhance both the texture and flavor. Wrapping the pork belly in the noodles elevated the overall taste experience. A must-try tsukemen at Nishimura Noodle Shop! #NishimuraNoodleShop #SoySauceTsukemen #OsakaRamen #OsakaGourmet #Ramen #Noodles #RamenLover #Tsukemen #Foodie #JapaneseFoods"

I was curious about the ramen topping that looked like a face, so I decided to visit this restaurant. There was no parking lot for bicycles, so some were parked in the bushes. I arrived before 12 pm and there were already 2 groups waiting. More groups started lining up behind us, so if you plan to come, it's better to come early. The restaurant operates on a ticket system, only has counter seating, and no space for luggage. It might be difficult for those with baby strollers or wheelchairs. I ordered the limited "Doteyaki Maze Soba" for ¥1,100, which was a thick and sweet dote-yaki poured over noodles. It surprisingly had a lot of meat chunks in it! It's quite sweet, so I recommend adding plenty of shichimi spice. There was leftover sauce, so you could even mix in some white rice at the end. My husband ordered the Chicken Paitan Ramen for ¥1,050 with additional toppings of half-boiled egg for ¥150 and extra green onions for ¥200, and they made it look like a face. The taste was mild... maybe it's a low-salt menu? The chashu was also thin and not very satisfying. My husband, who loves hearty meals, ate with a blank expression. I might try a new limited menu if they have one, but I wouldn't come specifically for this or wait in line for it. It's just not really my preference.

I ordered a large serving of soy sauce ramen with boiled eggs and egg over rice! The chashu and menma were not that great, but the boiled eggs were delicious! The ramen was a light soy sauce flavor that was easy to eat and tasty! I forgot to take a picture of the egg over rice, but it was amazing! The ramen was delicious, but the egg over rice was so delicious that I was surprised haha. I want to go try the tsukemen next time.

I visited this restaurant today. I tried to go during Obon but gave up due to the heat and long lines, so I decided to give it another try while visiting for a friend's wedding. I arrived around 1:30 and had to wait for about 10 minutes. I used to come here a lot during my college days, but haven't been able to since starting my job, so I was really happy to finally make it back. This time, I ordered the soy sauce tsukemen with an egg topping. It was as delicious as ever. I added some black shichimi pepper for a different taste and even enjoyed the soup wari.

Tsurumen Tsurumi Honten, formerly known as one of the top 100 ramen shops, is a ramen shop that changed its name. Another top 100 shop, Gamou Smile, run by the owner of Tsurumen Osaka Castle Kitazume store, is located in Kamou. I arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to enter smoothly without any wait. Both the owner and the staff are very friendly. As soon as you enter, there is a ticket machine on the side, so I quickly purchase a meal ticket. I decided to buy the popular regular menu item "Tsukemen (soy sauce)" that is often talked about on Tabelog. After purchasing the ticket, I sit down and wait for the Tsukemen to arrive. This time, I am proud of myself for creating a perfect combination of meals from Nishimura and Nishimura. The Tsukemen arrives. The slightly reddish soy sauce dipping sauce stimulates my appetite. I dip the noodles in the sauce and take a bite... The balance of umami from seafood and chicken, the acidity from the soy sauce-based broth, and a hint of spiciness create a very delicious dipping sauce. The noodles, made with whole wheat flour, are smooth and easy to slurp, with a chewy and fragrant wheat aroma that is very pleasant. The crunchy texture of the green onions adds a nice touch to the chewing experience, and the chashu is meaty, well-flavored, and delicious. The young bamboo shoots are also flavorful and have a great texture when chewed. Sprinkling black shichimi pepper adds more spiciness, allowing me to enjoy the noodles until the last bite. The soup, when mixed with the noodles, becomes richer and maintains its deliciousness until the end. I discovered some nuts at the bottom of the soup! The crunchy texture was delightful. The owner saw me off warmly, and I left the shop feeling satisfied. I would like to come here more often as it is easy to access.

"Chicken white broth ramen" for 1050 yen, no parking available, ticket machine system.
[Soup] The soup has a yellowish surface, smooth and just the right amount of chicken flavor, slightly lukewarm.
[Noodles] Smooth and slippery medium-thin straight noodles.
[Toppings] Hearty chashu pork, crunchy tip bamboo shoots, early red, snow peas.
It had been over 3 years since I last visited this place. I had been wanting to try their chicken white broth ramen, which is said to be popular. While the broth had a similar light texture to Gamo Smile's version, the rest was different. The energetic and cheerful service was a nice touch, with each bowl being brought directly to the counter. The chashu pork had a satisfying meaty taste, and the bamboo shoots were crunchy with no unpleasant smell, making it a great choice. At 1050 yen, it's a bit pricey, but overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you for the meal."

Despite opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, this place quickly became a hot topic. I later found out that it was a renewal of a previously famous restaurant. I visited around 2pm on a weekday and was seated immediately with no wait. I tried the soy sauce ramen for 1,050 yen. The noodles were thin and cooked perfectly. The soup, made with both chicken and bonito broth, had a very gentle and flavorful taste. It was delicious with a rich umami flavor. I think I could easily get hooked on this soy sauce ramen alone, but I also want to try the chicken white broth and morning curry next time.

Today's second stop is "Men-dokoro Nishimura" in Imafuku-Tsurumi. We arrived a little after 1 PM and there were about 6 people waiting in line, so it seems to be quite popular. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes before we could get a table. Oh, I recognize the manager here! I didn't want to call out to him right away, so I decided to buy my meal ticket first. They offer ramen and tsukemen in soy sauce or salt flavors. I decided to go with the "Tsukemen Soy Sauce (Regular) 200g" and purchased the ticket from the machine. The dish arrived and I dug in. I could taste the chicken and seafood flavors in the broth. The soy sauce tare had a slight acidity to it. The taste reminded me a bit of the Kadoya Shokudo style. The noodles were smooth, chewy, medium-thick straight noodles with whole wheat flour. The dipping sauce included chashu pork, menma bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, and some kind of beans. The chashu had a nice chewy texture. After saying hello to the manager, we left the restaurant. It was a delicious meal.

It's hot... Thursday, I came here for the first time in a while, from Tsurumen. In terms of the group, I remember that Cliff at Osaka Castle North Moat was really good. Today I had the soy sauce ramen for 950 yen, with an additional 300 yen for extra bamboo shoots. I remember in the past, the bamboo shoots were so delicious that I asked Cliff to pack some to take home, but he said no. The soy sauce ramen had a gentle soup with two slices of pork, thin straight noodles, and plenty of bamboo shoots. I chose hot ramen, and I have no regrets. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a new favorite restaurant, where Mr. Nishimura, who has long supported the renowned restaurant "Tsurumen," opened his own shop in the same area in May 2020. I ordered the "Tsukemen Shoyu" - a tangy soy sauce dipping broth with firm noodles that you can slurp up deliciously. Perfect for this season! My favorite side dish is the "Pork Mixed Rice with Raw Egg on Top" - a dish I've loved for a while. The rich pork fat is truly delicious, and the thick egg yolk is irresistible.

Yes, it's ramen time at "Men-dokoro Nishimura"! "Hiyashi Shio Niboshi Ramen 1,250 yen", "Umibudo (sea grapes) 250 yen", "Ajitama (flavored egg) 150 yen" ~Ramen circuit tour~ One of the must-visit ramen shops for cold ramen lovers is "Men-dokoro Nishimura" in Imazufukurumi. I visited a bit late this year, but I ordered the "Hiyashi Shio Niboshi Ramen". Of course, I didn't forget to add the "Umibudo" topping. And then, I completely forgot, but happened to see a poster on the wall and remembered to take out the "Ramen Circuit" booklet. I thought it might be a special offer from Nishimura, maybe an Ajitama? But it was coffee! I was so happy about this! As I was admiring the colorful presentation, the ramen was served. The visual was so appealing! Topped with shrimp, scallops, vegetables, and me. The soup was warm and comforting, perfect for a cold ramen. Adding vinegar to adjust the refreshing taste was a nice touch. The noodles were chewy and delicious. The toppings were so luxurious, it was hard to decide where to start. After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed the warm rice as a kind of ochazuke. And let me tell you, the cucumber pickles served with it were amazing! Overall, it was incredibly delicious once again! Thank you for the meal. By the way, when I arrived, there was an unexpected event - no other guests! I've never experienced that before, so it was quite rare! Here's a lovely shot of the owner, which I usually wouldn't be able to take. (laughs)

I rarely ride my bike around this area, so I decided to stop by since it was just about opening time. I went to a noodle shop called Shimura-san. I arrived 10 minutes before opening and was able to be seated a bit early. I couldn't decide between the regular ramen or the cold ramen, but considering the hot weather and my bike ride, I chose the limited cold ramen - chilled salt dashi ramen for 1250 yen. The bowl arrived shortly after I sat down. It looked cool and refreshing. I added a seasoned egg as a topping, and the bright yellow yolk looked beautiful. The bowl was decorated with shrimp, scallops, summer vegetables like tomatoes, okra, snap peas, and baby corn. The soup was ice-cold, and the essence of scallops was more prominent than that of dried fish, leaving a delicious taste in my mouth. The noodles were cold and firm, complementing the soup well. To finish, they served rice with the cold soup for a refreshing ochazuke. Although it was a bit pricey, the bowl was well-crafted and satisfying.

This is Meshiya Shimura‼️ On this day, they were serving morning ramen but unfortunately I couldn't make it, so I visited during lunch hours‼️ It was right after opening at 11:30 AM and there were already a few customers inside, with more coming in afterwards‼️ On this hot day, I decided to try the Cold Shio Ramen with shrimp, scallops, vegetables, and a soft-boiled seasoned egg on top‼️ The gentle cold bonito dashi broth and light salt seasoning made for a delicious soup‼️ The noodles were thin and firm, perfectly cooked by the skilled noodle shop, Teigaku‼️ They paired well with the cold shio bonito soup‼️ The dish was topped with plenty of vegetables, including sweet and tangy cherry tomatoes, tasty okra, crunchy baby corn, and snap peas‼️ The bamboo shoots were tender and flavorful, while the steamed scallops added a nice aroma and texture‼️ The shrimp was also deliciously plump‼️ The seasoned soft-boiled egg on top was perfectly balanced in flavor‼️ After finishing the noodles, they served a mini bowl of rice and pickled cucumbers‼️ The cucumber was crunchy and tasty, dressed in sesame oil‼️ I mixed the leftover egg with the rice and poured the cold soup over it, turning it into a delicious cold shio bonito rice dish‼️ I finished it off with a refreshing taste‼️ It was a delightful and cold dish that I was able to enjoy again this year‼️

I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area around Imazuruken Station for lunch. The high ratings caught my attention, so I visited with high expectations. I ordered the tsukemen because I liked the shiny appearance of the noodles in the photos on the website. I chose the soy-based dipping sauce, which was a rare find these days. The soup contained two thick slices of chashu pork and chewy bamboo shoots. The noodles had a strong "wheat aroma" that was enjoyable. I could see why this place received such high ratings. I highly recommend this restaurant to ramen lovers.

"Kamatama Tori Paitan Tsukemen" for 1,300 yen. On this day, my family of four went out for some noodle exploration. We visited Nishimura-san's shop. We arrived around 11:45 and there were already 3 people waiting outside, so we joined the queue. They have cold noodles as a summer specialty, but today we felt like having tsukemen. Let's try a bit of the cold noodles that my family will be having. After about 10 minutes, we were seated inside. When I looked at the ticket machine, I saw they had "Kamatama Tori Paitan Tsukemen" available, which I thought they didn't have today, so I was happy! I also decided to order the pork rice bowl, which I hadn't had in a while. The dishes arrived promptly. The flat noodles were served warm, topped with a raw egg, making for a beautiful presentation. The dipping sauce had a medium thickness with a bit of foam on top. Let's dig in! I first tried the noodles on their own - smooth and wheaty. When dipped into the sauce, the chicken paitan soup coated the noodles perfectly, creating a delicious combination. The egg added a mild flavor to the dish. The chashu pork submerged in the sauce was also incredibly tasty. The pork rice bowl had a light sauce, and the diced chashu pork was excellent. The mustard on the side added a nice touch. For the finishing touch, adding the soup to the remaining sauce combined the chicken paitan with seafood broth, resulting in a delectable flavor. It was simply delicious. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

"I visited 'Menya Nishimura' in Tsurumi Ward and tried their limited edition dish, 'Kamatama Chicken White Soup Tsukemen - Soy Sauce Flavor -' (Regular size, 1300 yen). The broth is made from Anami Jidori and Kuro Satsuma Jidori chicken, with a low viscosity soy sauce dipping sauce mixed with egg yolk. The medium-thick noodles are well coated with the dipping sauce, which has a good balance of umami from the chicken broth, acidity, and sweetness, resulting in a rich and flavorful taste. The noodles used are the medium-thick straight noodles from 'Menya Taikei,' with a good chewy texture and firmness. The dipping sauce also contains slices of thin pork shoulder and meatballs, adding a tender texture and delicious flavor. You can also adjust the taste using the black shichimi pepper, ichimi pepper, and black pepper available on the table."

I visited a ramen shop near Imafuku-Tsurumi Station for the first time based on the highest rating on Tabelog. I ordered the tsukemen with medium-thick flat noodles and soy sauce dipping sauce. The noodles and dipping sauce were okay, but nothing special. It lacks a distinctive feature, especially with Tsuruya nearby, which follows the style of Kadoya Shokudo. I wish it had more unique characteristics.

I have always seen a long line at this ramen shop whenever I pass by. Today, while shopping at Lopia, I decided to line up and try their pork mixed ramen. It was recommended to add chili oil, vinegar, and black shichimi pepper and mix it all together. The noodles were chewy, not too rich or bland, just really delicious! Next time, I want to try their chicken broth ramen. ^^
