On the 4th day of my business trip in Sapporo, feeling tired from three consecutive nights of heavy drinking, I decided to give my tired organs a shock therapy by visiting the restaurant called "Hihihi Odori" for their soup curry. The restaurant is located at Minami 1-jo Nishi 2-chome, just a 2-minute walk from Odori Station. It is on the same floor as the popular hamburger restaurant Toshi-san. Hihihi is a soup curry restaurant that also has a shop near Sapporo Station. I arrived at 11:00, which was the opening time, giving me the flexibility in my schedule. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a cozy atmosphere. There were about 20 seats at the counter and tables, with two groups of customers already seated when I arrived. I sat at the counter alone. The table was set with spoons, forks, toothpicks, wet towels, tissue boxes, gum syrup, and a water pitcher, and I was served water after being seated. I ordered the Hamburger Curry for 1,380 yen, with a spice level of 5, a large serving of rice for an extra 100 yen, Okra as a topping (using a coupon from Tabelog), and Braised Pork for 400 yen, totaling 1,880 yen. As usual, I ordered two main dishes. The Hamburger Curry, exclusive to the Odori branch, was packed with juicy meat, while the Braised Pork was incredibly tender. The Okra topping and various vegetables added a nice touch. The soup had a perfect balance of umami and spiciness, just right with a spice level of 5. Soup curry after a night of heavy drinking never disappoints! The fact that they open at 11:00 and operate until 21:00 is very convenient. I highly recommend visiting Hihihi Odori at least once.
