《August 2022 First Visit》I have used the Hoshino Coffee Shop in Atsubetsu before, but this Fushiko store is my first time visiting. To be honest, I had visited a few years ago but had to give up because the parking lot was full. This time, I decided to visit on a whim to adjust my schedule. It was mid-afternoon tea time, but since it was a weekday, the parking lot was about 60% full, so I was able to enter smoothly. There was a 2-seater table near the entrance, so I sat there. Initially, I only planned to order a drink, but when I saw the menu, I was drawn to the "Showa-style pudding." There was also a set menu with a drink, so I couldn't resist and ordered it along with a hot coffee called "Hikoboshi Blend." After a while, the coffee arrived, followed by the pudding. The visual truly had a Showa-era feel to it... as I generously poured the caramel syrup over the whipped cream topping. The slightly firm, mildly sweet taste brought back nostalgic memories. The menu listed the drink set at 850 yen, but the bill came out to 780 yen. Looking at the receipt, it seemed they had adjusted it to a cheaper option without explanation, making me feel like I got a good deal. The interior of the shop had dim lighting and a sophisticated atmosphere. The high partitions between tables made it very relaxing, and I didn't even notice the neighboring seats. I would like to stop by again if I have the chance.

I ordered a drink set. The iced coffee was served in a unique copper cup with water droplets, which looked cool. They gave me a straw, but I just drank it straight from the cup. It had a strong and delicious bitterness. It was nice that they offered half-price refills for their main blends and iced coffee. The custard pudding had a pleasantly ordinary taste. The whipped cream on top was unnecessary. Also, the antibacterial and thick hand towel shows they pay attention to detail.

This was my first visit. It was very crowded, probably due to the time of day. I ordered the Beef Stew Omelette Rice Doria for 930 yen. Beef Doria tends to be too salty sometimes, but the one here had a mild flavor and was delicious. The Pot-baked Fluffy Souffle Doria was visually appealing, made with egg whites baked into a meringue-like texture, but it lacked a flavor accent, making it a bit boring. Overall, I found myself wanting more flavor accents. The coffee was delicious. While I won't go into detail about the coffee flavor, it was enjoyable.

I visited wanting to do some office work. There are many Starbucks around, but I wanted a change of pace so I came here. Surprisingly, they focus more on coffee on their café menu. Since it was my first time, I chose the Hoshino Blend. The disposable hand towel was a fancy type. I thought it took quite a while for the order to come, but just as I was thinking that, it arrived. I felt like getting a refill, but since closing time was approaching, I decided against it. Thank you for the meal.

The parking lot was already full by 11:30. It seems like the number of seats and the size of the parking lot don't match. Inside the restaurant, there is a nice coffee aroma. The distance between tables is sufficient, allowing for a peaceful dining experience. The beef stew omelette rice was delicious but the portion was a bit small, might not be enough for men. The beef had a lot of fatty parts. My companion enjoyed the gratin.

On Sunday morning, there aren't many places within walking distance other than family restaurants or fast food to kill time. At such times, I remembered this store that I had been curious about while passing by the circular road. It is a national chain, but there are only two locations in Hokkaido, here and one along Route 274 in Atsubetsu Minami. I visited after 10 a.m. and it was almost full! I didn't expect it to be so crowded... The interior is a bit smaller than Komeda or Miyadaya. There are many tables for two people, which is a feature. The menu seems to have been raised in price recently. I was hungry, so I ordered the Ham and Egg Toast & Salad Plate, which seemed to have the most volume for breakfast. However, at 950 yen, it's already not really a breakfast price... It usually comes with a drink, but I was hot from walking, so I upgraded to an Iced Cafe au Lait for an additional 170 yen, making it 1,120 yen... The bread, salad, and yogurt tasted good, but the portion wasn't that large, and the cost performance was a bit poor. I also decided to try the American Orihime Blend coffee. I chose the default thick slice toast, which cost 450 yen. However, the toast was only half and the coffee was a bit lacking in taste even for someone like me who always drinks American coffee at home. The service is good, but you shouldn't expect great taste or cost performance from places like this. Lesson learned!笑

The other day, I saw a TV feature about Hoshino Coffee Shop, and I got curious about their pasta, or rather, Napolitan, so I decided to come and try it out. There is a group restaurant called Yomenoya nearby, and I heard that they use their recipe to make it. I visited the Fushiko branch, which is close to my workplace. The parking lot is small for the size of the restaurant, so timing is crucial. Luckily, I found a spot to park. I ordered the Napolitan as planned, which came with a drink for 1280 yen. I chose coffee, the Hoshino blend. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. The Napolitan had wiener sausages on top, which was quite luxurious. The noodles were thin and al dente, unlike the thicker and softer noodles you usually find in a cafe's Napolitan. The taste was a bit sweet and ketchup-y, but it was delicious. The coffee, Hoshino blend, was a crowd-pleaser and tasted good. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and look forward to trying out different pasta dishes next time.

Recently, there has been an increase in large cafe-like shops calling themselves coffee shops. They offer free bread with morning coffee, set meals at a reasonable price, and even all-you-can-drink coffee, each store highlighting their unique features, which is a delightful service for us consumers. This particular shop provides thick toast (with boiled egg) or mini pancakes as a side when you order a drink, which is already a treat in itself. I tried the "Winter Limited Coffee: Blue Mountain Blend (550 yen)" and chose the morning set with thick toast. The slightly sweet thick toast was fluffy and delicious, and as I sprinkled salt on the boiled egg, I couldn't help but wonder what Eiji Bandou is up to these days. Sipping the coffee, I was pleasantly surprised by its rich aroma and depth of flavor. It was so delicious that I couldn't help but think how it had been a while since I had such a tasty cup of coffee. Looking at the kitchen counter, I noticed the words "HAND DRIP COFFEE," indicating that each cup was carefully hand-dripped. The best part is that you can get a refill for half the price, which I would love to try if I had more time. The highlight of this shop is not just the free bread but the beautifully brewed coffee. It was a delightful treat during my morning break.

I remembered the morning limited menu at Hoshino Coffee in the past when I used to visit the Atsubetsu store on weekends and holidays! I suddenly decided to visit while driving on Sapporo Shinmichi! The morning menu is available from opening until 11:00, and I arrived at 10:45 just in time. For the morning drink, I chose the "Decaf Iced Coffee" (495 yen). With the morning service, you can choose between toast or mini pancakes! I chose toast, and my companion added a "Salad & Pancake Set" with iced coffee! The coffee was served first. The decaf coffee was mild in bitterness and acidity, very refreshing! My companion's iced coffee had a strong acidity, which they didn't like much. The food arrived after 10 minutes. The toast was crispy and delicious. The sandwich bread with less sweetness was perfect. My companion's pancakes came with a big bottle of maple syrup, which they poured generously and enjoyed. They joked that at their age, they should be careful about getting diabetes. The pancakes themselves were not too sweet. The gratin and lasagna on the menu looked very delicious, so I will try them next time during lunchtime! Thank you, Hoshino Coffee Fushiko store!

I was feeling hungry after early morning activities, but there were few restaurants open at 10 o'clock. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. We parked in the small parking lot and were seated inside. Looking at the menu on the table, I ordered the Beef Stew Omelette Rice Doria, while my partner ordered the Beef Stew Souffle Doria & Pancakes. The waitress informed us that they would start making our dishes at 11 o'clock. We had to wait a bit, but our food arrived shortly after 11. My partner seemed to enjoy their dish, but I didn't get to taste it as they finished it all. The beef stew was light and refreshing in flavor. The combination of omelette rice and doria was interesting. I'll have to come back to try their regular morning menu next time!

The omurice and black tea were delicious. The interior of the restaurant was clean. It was my first time trying souffle cake, but it seems I don't like it. I'm not sure what the right way to eat it is, but it felt like just eating sweet meringue.

The morning time (from opening until 11:00) includes a drink with either one pancake or half a toast and a boiled egg as a bonus, which seems like a good deal! I ordered the morning drink with an additional 100 yen for a café au lait, and also got another pancake called the Mont Blanc Rich Pancake as part of their 10th-anniversary special. The drink was a soy milk latte without sugar, but it still had a sweet taste for some reason. The pancakes had a good texture with a light buttery flavor, and the maple syrup came in a convenient pouring bottle. The Mont Blanc pancake had more whipped cream than chestnut cream, so I think reducing the amount of whipped cream would be better. The cocoa and powdered sugar sprinkled on top looked fancy, but didn't add much to the taste. As for the parking lot, it was quite full even on a weekday during the late morning, so there might be a shortage of space during lunchtime or on busier days.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for the first time and then came back a few days later for another meeting. We tried the pancakes and brunch toast, but I preferred the French toast. The portions were small, but the taste was good! The coffee was delicious as well. Both the pancakes and French toast were very tasty. It may seem a bit pricey if you don't plan to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. I will consider using this place for meetings in the future. The interior of the restaurant was calm and had a nice atmosphere. Thank you for the meal! :)

Finally, it's time to post a review of this restaurant. The post date will be October 9th, two weeks after the visit on September 26th. I'm a bit lonely, so I like to visit the restaurant with my family when I go back home, and then post about it when I'm away on business to relive the experience and memories. I cherish the restaurants I visited during my September visit. That concludes those posts. Looking forward to November now! While waiting for the train at JR Naefu Station, we're killing time at Hoshino Coffee. My son has ice milk, I have hot coffee, and my wife... I can't remember what she had. We always enjoy delicious drinks at reasonable prices there. I wonder how long this business trip will last. It's inevitable for a constantly relocating family like us, but I hope to return to Hokkaido in the next transfer. My son is growing up so fast. He still clings to us and holds our hands as we walk. I wonder how long he'll continue to do that. My wife told me that our son read a letter to me during a remote class observation. She said he's looking forward to me coming home with the letter. I'm so happy and excited. Alright, let's work hard next week to make the November visit come quickly!

I wanted to focus on my writing, so I came here. I often come here when I have books or reading materials. I ordered the Mont Blanc Rich Pancake set with coffee. It is a sweet consisting of souffle pancakes sandwiched with whipped cream and chestnut cream. The small souffle pancakes are filled with plenty of whipped cream and chestnut cream. The cream has a good volume, and the milky whipped cream and rich chestnut cream go well with the coffee. It is a limited quantity item. I stayed for about 2 hours. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is located next to Sapporo Elementary School along the circular road in Fushiko. Across the street, there is a Coco's. When I arrived, I had already eaten lunch and wasn't hungry, so I thought about getting a cake set. However, since the price for a cake set and a parfait was about the same, and it was a hot day, I decided to go with a parfait. The shaved strawberry parfait (880 yen) had shaved strawberries as the main topping, along with cookies, sliced bananas, and berries. The bottom layer had a cocoa-flavored sauce (I think) with grapefruit-flavored jelly. It was delicious, but I felt that the main ingredient, the strawberries, didn't stand out as much as I expected. Visually and in terms of texture satisfaction, I felt that having at least one whole strawberry (or even a half-cut one) would have been better. It has been about a year and a half since I last visited this shop, and my remaining coffee voucher is still valid. However, it's not really worth using the voucher since you can get coffee with a set for an additional 350 yen. I think I'll have to come back for their morning set to make the most of the voucher. I'd like to come back for their "Beef Tan Stew Souffle Dorayaki, Pancake Plate" (1000 yen) as well when I visit for a meal other than breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

The café menu is extensive, with plenty of options for both adults and children, all of which looked delicious! I tried the spring limited edition menu item, the strawberry soufflé pancake. I ordered a double portion with tall pancakes. The taste was like traditional hotcakes - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with plenty of butter on top. It was surrounded by strawberries and drizzled with strawberry sauce. Additionally, maple syrup was served on the side, allowing me to add as much as I wanted. The coffee was the Hoshino blend. The combination of sweet pancakes and coffee was unbeatable. My family ordered the omelette rice, Neapolitan pasta, and pork cutlet sandwich. All were simple, with no unnecessary garnishes, and undeniably delicious! I now want to try other items on the menu. I understand why this type of café has been gaining popularity recently.

This kind of cafe is great for concentrating on work. Just take a sip of coffee and get things done quickly. I used to be like that, but now I just sit back and relax while drinking my coffee. I remember those days fondly, wondering if I might run into someone unexpectedly. I chose the thick toast for the morning service, even though I only needed coffee. I couldn't resist the temptation to eat. I ordered the Hoshino Blend. I'm not an expert on coffee flavors, but I like this level of bitterness. The quiet chatter around me is soothing, and I find it calming. There's another coffee shop nearby, but it's too noisy for me, so when I need to focus, I come to Hoshino. Thank you for the meal.

I really like this space because it's very calming. There are partitions that block the view from the side. I didn't eat it on this day, but the pancakes are really delicious! They are fluffy and you can put on unlimited maple syrup. I might gain weight though... The morning set comes with coffee and mini pancakes for 450 yen! You can get a refill of pancakes for just 100 yen!!! I will definitely try the pancakes next time!! Thank you for the meal.

Beef tongue stew omelette & pancake plate with drink for 1000 yen. Ordered at 12:17 on a weekday lunch. The parking lot is very crowded. The clientele seems to be divided between those who want to relax and chat (the parking lot is spacious) and those who just want a quick lunch, but there are mostly women. I was expecting a traditional omelette, but it seems like it's not on the current menu. However, they have omelette variations like omelette doria. 5 minutes later, coffee was ordered. 10 minutes later, the plate arrived. The omelette is a fluffy type with ketchup rice inside. No filling. It tastes like the usual Central Kitchen flavor. But the rice is still hot, so it's not bad. The omelette is small, a half-size, as it comes with pancakes. The salad has just a bite of lettuce. It's better than nothing. I wasn't expecting much so this is fine. The pancakes are a bit... not as fluffy as expected. They are souffle pancakes, but they are a bit dense, you know? The coffee is still okay. Oh, there was no alcohol for disinfection at the entrance of the restaurant...

I revisited this restaurant for breakfast at 8:40. Today is the last day of my trip back home. It was a fun outing during my stay back home. The last stop was here, where it's easy to adjust the timing to catch the limousine bus from the loop line. I was guided to a private room. It's so nice to have such a private space for free. Since I have a child, having a private room where we can talk without bothering others is much appreciated. I had a hot cafe latte with the morning service for 450 yen. My wife had a set with morning drink, French toast, and a hot cafe latte for 580 yen. Our child had the mini pancake from the morning service. I forgot what drink came with it (laughs) for 450 yen. It's quite close to home, relaxing, and the food is pretty good. It's also wallet-friendly, so it's a good place for everyday use. Having tea with my wife like this is always a wonderful time. We have the same preferences, and we are truly happy. I would like to visit again for timing adjustment for the limousine bus. Thank you for the meal.
