I visited the bar "pontdoux" located on the 3rd floor of the Chofu Building, a little off the main street! I called in advance around 22:30 on a weekday and they welcomed me, saying, "Sure, we'll be waiting for you." The interior of the bar has a mature atmosphere with plenty of seating. I recommend going in a small group! Here's what we ordered: - American Lemonade (650 yen) - Highball (850 yen) - Pate de Campagne (650 yen) - Beet Marinated with Iberico Pork Salami (400 yen) The American Lemonade is a layered drink with lemonade and red wine that you mix while drinking! It has a low alcohol content, making it refreshing and easy to drink. The Highball was made with Glenfiddich 12 years, not too strong and also easy to drink. The Pate de Campagne was firmer than expected, easy to cut and eat. The minced pork in the Campagne was delicious! The Beet Marinated with Iberico Pork Salami paired well with the drinks. The slightly sour beet marinated and thinly sliced salami complemented each other, making it delicious with the alcohol! The appetizers were all very tasty! I heard the desserts are also delicious, so I'd like to come back for them next time. Thank you for the meal!

You can also use this place as a coworking space. It feels like a bar, like a bistro, open and familiar. There is a sommelier, so it's fun to try different drinks depending on your mood. I recommend the "Cold Assortment" even though it's not on the menu. You can enjoy their specialty dishes in small portions. My favorite is the "Cheese Shoe."

I decided to have a cold dessert and visited Pontdoux for the first time in a while (^-^)/ Pontdoux is located on the 3rd floor of Choya Building in the center of Obihiro city. It has a cozy interior with 8 counter seats, 4 tables for 2, and 1 table for 3. I ordered the Plum Sorbet for 400 yen (tax included) and an alcoholic drink. The sorbet was sweet and sour, refreshing, and delicious. My companion said it tasted like umeshu, which made my husband burst out laughing because he has never had umeshu before. The food is prepared by the wife who used to make desserts at a French restaurant, and it's really tasty. I'll come back next time to enjoy a leisurely meal. After returning from a social gathering, I decided to have a solo drink at this place to savor the lingering atmosphere a bit longer. I enjoyed the gathering to the fullest. I said goodbye to my boss and made my way here. The night view of Obihiro city can be seen from here. Today, I chose to sit at the counter. I ordered a craft beer to start. Cheers. It has been a tough and challenging year. I managed to get through it quite well. My job will change next week. I will start fresh and work hard again. Excuse me, could you recommend a wine for me? The bartender chose a sparkling wine for me. Even though I am not knowledgeable about wine, I can enjoy it. The owner recommended some salami as a snack. Shall I have another glass of wine? I enjoyed quietly drinking while looking at the various unique items around the restaurant. The unpleasant memories were washed away by the bubbles of the wine. It's time for me to leave. A curious bug was bothering me, so I quietly slipped into the bar for a quick drink by myself. I ordered a beer and a couple of cold appetizers at the counter. I chatted with a regular customer and tried the appetizer platter they were having, which was delicious and fun. I ended up being late for the next gathering because I was enjoying myself so much.

My wife and I came to town for a movie and wanted to have a nice meal before the show. Unfortunately, all the trendy restaurants we wanted to try were full, which was a good sign that things were getting back to normal post-COVID. We ended up at pontdoux, a cafe-like place with stylish decor and a great view from the third-floor window seat we chose. We asked for recommendations and ended up with a cold dish assortment that included delicious cheeses, topped with Japan's award-winning cheese. The staff were flexible and accommodating, even offering a choice of three wines with a knowledgeable explanation. The colorful cold dish assortment paired perfectly with the full-bodied Italian red wine we chose. The homemade pasta was rich and flavorful. This new and stylish spot, opened just last December, is definitely a hidden gem!

The place was spacious and bright, with a cafe-like atmosphere. They had a delicious craft beer called Obihiro Beer Mugi Biyori. The food menu changes daily, and the chef, who used to work at a popular bakery called Mugioto, makes homemade bread which is incredibly tasty. I chose a variety of appetizers and had them served together, including carrot rapé, marinated leeks, green olive paste mixed with lotus root, liver paste, and red onion confiture. Even though the presentation was not very colorful, the combination was excellent. I also had a sweet and easy-to-drink rosé wine. I ended up eating firefly squid and wild garlic all'arrabbiata as well. I was in the mood for Indian curry and wanted something more substantial. The restaurant is run by a couple who moved from the Kanto region, and it was a very nice place. They also have a shop selling leather goods, kitschy miscellaneous items, and even books by a local author named Asao Kamon. You can find things here that you can't even find in Coachanfo. They also have live music nights, and it seems like a trendy spot for art enthusiasts in Obihiro. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I went to Pontdoux! This is the third place I visited in town, aiming for a bar. It's a building where "beasts" used to be. The lighting is dim and it has a very bar-like atmosphere. I got a seat by the window. I can see the night streets of Obihiro. I ordered three appetizers to go with red wine. There are also sparkling water and espresso around. The restaurant started to get crowded and lively. Once I entered, I found the atmosphere to be very nice. The owners were very friendly, so I would recommend this bar for its food, drinks, and atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

23/04/07 Extra edition of the social gathering with just two people. A sudden decision for tonight's drinking party. I parted ways with my colleague at the second bar and met up with an acquaintance. The bar they took me to was really nice. The craft beer I tried for the first time was delicious. The atmosphere of the bar was also really good! However, my memory started to fade as the night went on. Next time, I'll make sure to visit earlier in the evening!

I was tasked with choosing a restaurant, so I visited pontdoux, a place I had been curious about. Located on the 3rd floor of Chouchouya Building, in the former location of 'Kemono' (for various reasons), this restaurant had caught my eye. The only way to access the place was through stairs, and once inside, I decided to sit at a table. I couldn't decide on the menu, so the staff suggested two platters of assorted dishes. I started with a craft beer for 800 yen and then enjoyed a cold appetizer platter which included marinated octopus, egg with tapenade sauce, carrot salad, liver paste, Sapporo craft ham, and more. The flavors were delightful, and I particularly liked the liver paste and pickled eggplant. I also tried the deer sausage, which was surprisingly delicious. The potato and ragu sauce gratin was also tasty. The restaurant's staff provided detailed explanations of the food and drinks, but I felt it would be more helpful if they clearly stated the price of the assorted platters. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and the introduction of coworking hours starting from January 10th was an interesting addition. I didn't post pictures of the menu as it may change in the future. The pastry chef's desserts seemed promising, and I look forward to trying them next time. Thank you for the lovely meal.

I ordered a light assortment of cold dishes, including carrot rapé, prosciutto, Ezorisu Valley cheese with edamame, and broccoli and shirasu marinade. The food was delicious, prepared by the wife who used to make desserts at a French restaurant. The interior is stylish with a fresh wooden scent.
