On the last day of my week-long trip to Hokkaido, I decided to have sushi as my final memory. I found a relatively affordable sushi restaurant in my Hokkaido travel guide and visited this place. It was my first time at a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant, so I was impressed by the traditional sushi restaurant atmosphere. I sat at the counter as I was dining alone. I was a bit worried about finishing my meal, but I ordered the 13-piece sushi set for 3150 yen and the crab soup for an additional 630 yen. The menu included items like fatty tuna, sea urchin, and salmon roe. I was not familiar with sea urchin and salmon roe, but the crab soup was delicious. The price of 3150 yen for 13 pieces seemed reasonable, and the chef was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated.

I love ramen, but since I came all the way to Hokkaido, I wanted to try some delicious fish. I visited this restaurant near Nijo Market around 7:00 PM. I always enjoy restaurants with skilled chefs, and the appetizer this day was a scallop simmered in soy sauce. It was perfectly seasoned and brought out the flavor of the ingredients, definitely delicious. I started with a beer and looked at the menu for a good appetizer to go with it, and then I saw it - Tokachi black wagyu sirloin seared sashimi. It was absolutely delicious, lightly seasoned and seared, served with pickled ginger and wasabi. I tried it without anything first and it was amazing. The grilled eel in soy sauce with a hint of wasabi was also incredibly tasty. And then, the saltwater sea urchin arrived, paired with the Japanese sake recommended by the restaurant. It was a blissful moment. The herring sushi was something I don't often get to try, but it was excellent. The main dishes were outstanding, and the attention to detail in the side dishes was impressive. The service from the waitress was attentive, speedy but not rushed, and full of hospitality. I was truly impressed by the overall experience and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

I had a set of sushi and some sake, and tried a little bit of salted fish roe. Next time, I want to skip the sushi and just finish with appetizers. The grilled egg dashimaki looks delicious. The salt-boiled asparagus also looks tasty. Various sashimi also looks delicious. The sushi was delicious, especially the botan shrimp. I wish I could have tried sea urchin, but not the purple one, the bafun one. The only downside was the clientele at the restaurant. The two couples on both sides kept loudly exclaiming how delicious everything was, which was annoying. If you have the courage to spend over 10,000 yen at this restaurant, I recommend going a little further to the standing sushi restaurant in Otaru station. It is far more delicious.

I was able to enjoy a fresh and luxurious 13-piece assortment of sea urchin, salmon roe, and abalone, among other seafood delicacies from Hokkaido. The melting sweetness of the sea urchin, the firm texture of the shrimp, and the crunchy texture of the abalone were unforgettable. Sushi truly is unbeatable!

Hello, this time I visited Nijou-san, a sushi restaurant I haven't been to in a while due to my homecoming. I enjoyed fresh sushi with wild vegetables, and of course, the bomb sushi (which includes sea urchin but I opted for one without it). I also had tempura with wild vegetables and a shochu highball aged in a whiskey barrel. It was delicious! I don't know when I'll be back for my next visit, but I'll work hard so I can enjoy more delicious Hokkaido cuisine next time! My rating criteria: 4.0 and above - Impressed, will definitely return; 3.5-3.9 - Want to revisit; 3.0-3.5 - Delicious; Below 3.0 - No plans to revisit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This was my second time at this restaurant. We were seated in the tatami room on the second floor with 2 children and 4 adults. As always, the food was delicious, we ordered a variety of nigiri sushi, grilled fish, ikura, uni, and bakudan. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasty, especially the conger eel which was exceptional. The crab was served with a generous amount of meat and miso inside, as shown in the photo. It was amazing. We will definitely be going back!

The jokes and the sushi rice were delicious! The lean tuna was sweet and tender, it was the best! You can also order one piece at a time. I thought about trying other dishes, but I was already full after 13 pieces. It may not be the best cost performance for a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the atmosphere was comfortable and not too formal. Definitely going to come back!

I wanted to buy seafood in Sapporo, so after shopping at the market, I felt like eating sushi. However, there were few shops open at night, so I ended up here. The fish was fresh, but as someone who enjoys skilled sushi making, I found it to be fairly ordinary. I thought maybe a seafood bowl would be a better choice.

I finally had the sea urchin bowl I've been wanting! But it felt like something was missing. It was delicious, but the sea urchin was so tasty that the rice seemed lacking. I also had sushi, but hmm... it wasn't recommended to the extent I expected. By the way, there was so much rice in the bowl, it was funny!

I flew directly from New Chitose Airport at 14:00 and arrived just in time! The manager remembered me and kindly prepared a seat for me, so I ordered my usual routine. The food is always delicious no matter when I eat it! The ikura with its popping texture, the melt-in-your-mouth richness of the otoro, the combination of wasabi and negitoro in the negitoro roll, the tenderness and aroma of the silver cod with saikyo miso, everything was satisfying! This time, I also enjoyed the chewy and bouncy texture of the spear squid! I immediately felt like I want to come back to Sapporo as soon as possible upon arrival! Thank you as always!

I used a nearby meeting room and had lunch there. Since I was in Hokkaido, I ordered a sushi platter with 10 pieces and a soup with fish head. I later checked on Tabelog and saw that they also offer lunch menus, but maybe they didn't have them on this Tuesday. The prices were similar to a sushi restaurant in Chitose city I visited last night, but considering it as a lunch option, the variety and quality of the sushi toppings were more touristy. However, this place has a higher Tabelog rating, so maybe the prices are more reasonable for dinner?

Located in the Sapporo Nijo Market area, this sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant also offers lunch. The prices in this area tend to be geared towards tourists, but this restaurant is more affordable. The seafood bowl I ordered that day was 1200 yen, which is significantly cheaper compared to the neighboring restaurants where similar bowls cost around 2500 yen. Additionally, the meal comes with salad and miso soup, making it quite a good deal. The seafood bowl included scallops, tuna, shrimp, squid, yellowtail, tamagoyaki, tobiko, and pickled ginger. The portion of rice in the bowl is quite generous, making it a great option for families with children. The food is not only affordable but also delicious. It could be a good strategy for parents to order the seafood bowl for their children and enjoy sushi or sashimi with some drinks themselves.

We used a spacious private room on the 2nd floor. It was nice to have cutlery for children. The prices are more reasonable compared to Tokyo, and everything was fresh and delicious. We ate a lot of salmon roe and sea urchin. I would like to go again.

I felt like having some sake and had just one glass (⑉･ ･⑉) The corn tempura was freshly fried and crispy, with the sweetness of the corn... so delicious (⸝⸝ ´`⸝⸝)♡ All the dishes were delicious, so the sake kept flowing (ง ᵕωᵕ)ว♪ I finished with some rolled sushi as a light ending. The pickled mackerel was delicious ∑(๑ºдº๑)!! The mackerel was fatty and melted in the mouth, but the pickled flavor balanced it out nicely!! The restaurant is clean and spacious. Located near Tanukikoji and Nijo Market, it is a famous place for Japanese cuisine and sushi. It is popular among tourists as well as regular customers and celebrities. This time, I enjoyed seasonal delicacies such as sea urchin, corn, and herring. As a drinker, I indulged in a mix of high purine content dishes. During the day, they also offer delicious seafood bowls for tourists. If you want to taste the delicious blessings of Hokkaido, this restaurant is highly recommended.

I visited this place for lunch. Nijo Market is a treasure trove of seafood. No matter where you go, there is no disappointment, I think ^ - ^ On this day, it was here. The restaurant was quiet in the early afternoon. Yay! We had the place to ourselves. We ordered the Lunch Set with 8 pieces for 1200 yen, which came with salad, chawanmushi, and soup. The octopus, shrimp, flying fish, lean tuna, white fish, salmon, squid, and cured mackerel were all fresh and delicious. The chef was preparing some fresh herring as we chatted with him. How about this? Sure, we'll take that! We enjoyed some finely diced herring, which was superb. It's a rare treat to have fresh, seasonal ingredients like herring and smelt. We had a great time chatting and enjoying the food at the counter. This place is great for learning about what's in season and I definitely want to go back. Thank you for the delicious meal! (◕‿◕)

Finally, after a few years, I was able to come back to Sapporo, and of course, the restaurant I always visit is here. I have been coming here for about 15 years now. The manager always remembers me and I always leave the counter sushi satisfied with the taste and atmosphere. The small clam appetizer, the delicious ikura bowl that I always order, and the tasty miso soup are all amazing. I can drink as many Sapporo Classics as I want with just the pickled ginger. There are not many restaurants where the pickled ginger is this delicious! The silver cod with saikyo miso that I always order is also an outstanding dish. The taste and the perfect grilling timing always make it even more delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the melt-in-your-mouth chutoro and the superb otoro on top! It's too delicious!

I was disappointed at Daruma-ken, so I decided to try Nijo Market for some seafood. I went to a Japanese restaurant and sushi place for lunch. Since it was Saturday, there was no lunch menu, so I ordered the Special Nigiri set of 13 pieces. There weren't many customers, so they served each piece one by one. The set included: flounder, tuna belly, squid, salmon, crab, tuna, abalone, scallop, mackerel, prawn, sea urchin, and miso soup. I also added a cucumber roll. I was full and satisfied. They have a good variety of dishes, so I want to come back for dinner. It was delicious!

This is a sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant near Nijo Market. The customers here seem to be mostly doctors from the nearby hospital, as it was busy with reservations. The fish is really fresh, with a live tank ensuring high quality shellfish. I wanted to try cod milt this season, but they didn't have it, although I appreciate that they don't compromise on quality. The herring sashimi was delicious this time! The sake, including the stylish Tanshu brand, was great. They always have a selection of unique drinks, which I love as a drinker! The whisky barrel-aged shochu has a lovely aroma. I personally would love to try corn tempura during corn season, but this time I enjoyed the fish with sake. The beef kaburi steak was also amazing, with a perfect balance of fat. We enjoyed a lot of delicious Hokkaido specialties for around 4000 yen. My husband and mother were also very satisfied. They always serve delicious fish, meat, and vegetables, so I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This time, our trip to Hokkaido was disrupted by a typhoon so we couldn't go to Ishigaki Island, and we had to change our destination at the last minute, so everything was booked last minute (*_*) We also visited this restaurant without a reservation. The location is near Susukino in the center of Sapporo, at Nijo Market (^^♪ It's a convenient location with good transportation access. We parked our car at a coin parking near the market, wandered around the market... Overall, there were many seafood bowl restaurants in the market, but since we didn't want a heavy meal, we chose this restaurant where we could order individual items. We entered and sat at the counter. From the menu, we chose chilled tomatoes, fresh oysters and sushi as individual items, as well as squid, shrimp, tuna, salmon roe, medium fatty tuna, scallops, sea urchin, bonito, and cucumber rolls! It's a restaurant at the edge of the market, and considering it's in Hokkaido, we may have had slightly high expectations without a reservation (ーー;) The taste was okay, not great.
