It was a bit (quite) overcooked, but the A5 Nupuk Wagyu was truly delicious with its sweet and tender marbling. The overcooking and soft rice were a bit disappointing (laughs). The dice steak costs almost 3000 yen and is a bit fatty, so if you prefer something lighter, the hamburger or omurice is delicious and reasonably priced.

It was a bit confusing near the entrance due to the presence of a notice, but when I opened the door, I found that they were indeed open for business. I ordered the sirloin cut steak without a reservation, and was pleasantly surprised by the beautifully trimmed and delicious meat that arrived, weighing a perfect 200g. It was so good that I finished it in no time. This made me curious about their hamburger, as good meat usually means good hamburgers too. I decided to order one and it was indeed delicious. This is my first visit. Despite the scorching heat of over 30 degrees, I first took a look at the garden. The lavender was past its peak, but the Casablanca lilies, roses, salvias, and others were competing beautifully. After walking around the garden and working up an appetite, we headed to the restaurant. The highlight seems to be the A5 rank Tokachi Nupuk beef menu, but I was looking for the ultimate ginger pork dish, so I ordered the ginger pork (my companion ordered the Nupuk beef dice steak). When I ordered, the waiter asked, "Do you mean the pork ginger pork?"... I wonder if they also have beef ginger pork? (laughs) It arrived in about 10 minutes. The slices were thick and tender. The sauce was sweet, but unfortunately the ginger flavor was a bit weak. All the windows face the garden, so you can enjoy your meal in a pleasant atmosphere throughout the seasons. In addition to the heavy meat dishes, the menu is also diverse. The udon and curry look delicious too. I will come back when it cools down.

A restaurant that specializes in dishes made with Tokachi Wagyu beef. They have table seats facing a beautiful snowy garden and private rooms with sunken kotatsu-style seating. I couldn't decide between the set meal, curry, or hamburger, but ended up choosing the hamburger curry because I was craving Wagyu beef. The curry was on the sweeter side and the hamburger had a good meaty flavor, although it didn't taste freshly made, so they might have pre-made it. The coffee I ordered after the meal was delicious. I ended up staying longer than closing time, but the staff were kind and didn't rush me out. The cozy atmosphere with the bright sunlight streaming in was very pleasant.

Today's lunch was here. I used it for a business meeting, and our client made a reservation for us. They use their own raised black Wagyu beef called "Tokachi Nuppuku Wagyu" for their dishes, which is very appealing. We ordered the following based on everyone's preferences: - Sirloin steak set meal 1,595 yen/tax included I apologize for the blurry photo taken quickly with a silent camera... It comes with rice, miso soup, and pickles. The appearance of the dish is just a regular sirloin steak, but when you taste it, it is quite tender! The meat juices spread in your mouth, sweet and delicious. You can also taste the goodness of the lean meat at the same time. Truly the mark of high-quality beef! I finished the rice quickly as well. Thank you for the meal! I don't usually order sirloin steak, I have a cheap image of it, haha. However, the sirloin steak here is high-quality, truly a bite-sized luxury steak. Today is a beautiful day, so I decided to go on a solo drive. I visited Nupukugarden in Tokachi, just to check out the dog run. The garden looked a bit lonely after the autumn leaves had fallen. I ordered the cheeseburger set for 900 yen, which I was looking forward to. The A5 ranked patty was smaller than I expected, but it was thick and juicy with plenty of lettuce and tomato. The hamburger had onions in it and was unfortunately well done, but it tasted really good with the cheese and vegetables. The buns were not toasted, but they were soft and delicious. Personally, I think toasting the buns would have been better, especially since the hamburger was so tasty. It would be nice if they had larger US-sized burgers with more personality. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

I had the dice steak and it was delicious with tender meat. I bought some meat as a souvenir right away. When I asked to purchase the sauce because it was so tasty, I was told it's not for sale.

I was healed by the owls! I stopped by a place called "Tokachi Nupukugarden" in Obihiro. They don't let you choose the menu, everyone gets a cake set prepared in advance! I think that's the right decision (laughs). I had a friendly chat with the locals while looking at the garden, it felt like a social gathering. Let's take a tour of the premises until departure time. Oh, there's something on display! Is it an aquarium? Wow, there are live owls! A cafe where you can spend time with hawks, eagles, and owls... I have always wanted to go to one in Sapporo, so I'm happy to see live owls here. This might actually be my first time seeing live owls outside of a zoo. It was actually the thing that made me happiest on this trip.

My trip to Obihiro quickly came to its final day. Although I wanted to stay longer and enjoy more, I have already had a vacation, Golden Week, and this trip, so I had to cut it short this time. On the last day, I rented a car and followed a planned route around Naka-Satsunai village. I visited a newly opened garden first, which I hadn't been to before. The garden was compact but had a lovely Japanese-style design with flowers scattered throughout. After a stroll, I had an early lunch at the restaurant on-site. The restaurant had a nice view of the garden, but the food, a black beef hamburger, was lukewarm and not as flavorful as expected. The overall experience was okay, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations.

A healing place where you can enjoy interacting with animals in addition to strolling through the garden! This year, they started offering horseback riding experiences, as well as encounters with owls, hedgehogs, and axolotls (lol) ... so cute! About one-third of the tulips were blooming, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. It's now a delightful season for garden walks, looking forward to visiting again.

Lunch with family. The wind was strong so we didn't go for a walk, instead we had our meal while looking at the garden. The restaurant has table seating and also traditional tatami seating at the back. The menu offers a variety of udon dishes. The hidden gem is actually the beef. The recommended dish this time is the A5-ranked diced steak. It's a great deal. The beef smoked salad is also delicious and a good value, and the Nupuk burger is full of meat. Of course, the udon noodles are tasty too. Next time, I want to try the hamburger. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to discover this restaurant while passing by. The parking lot is very spacious, even buses can park there. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with 9 table seats and 2 raised tatami tables. It can accommodate over 50 people! The view from the windows is fantastic, although it's a shame to visit in winter. Inside the restaurant, the summer garden is displayed on a monitor. The flowers are beautiful! I ordered the "Zaru Udon and Kogedon Set for 1,050 yen" as udon seemed to be recommended despite it being an udon shop. The Kogedon consisted of a large piece of meat and half a piece of meat on top of a light pork bowl. It was nice to be able to adjust the sauce to your liking. The udon was excellent, with a strong texture and delicious flavor. The grated radish was also coarsely grated, showing attention to detail. It was a leisurely and relaxing lunch. The weather this year has been lackluster, but on a rare sunny day, I decided to have a solo lunch at Tokachi Nupuk Garden. Heading towards Hiroo, once you pass the "Taisho" era, you arrive at "Showa Town". Next to the Tokachi Livestock Artificial Insemination Center, there is a spacious parking lot with quite a few cars parked. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed that the table seats were almost full. I pointed at the menu photo and ordered the cold (Nupuk) snow-viewing udon, as well as the homemade (A5) black wagyu beef Nupuk Burger that caught my eye on their website. The staff mentioned that the burger would take a bit of time, so I opted for takeout. Since there were many customers waiting, my udon and takeout burger were ready in about 12 minutes. The udon was not exactly what I ordered, but it was still good. The special noodles made with Hokkaido wheat were not very firm but had a chewy texture, and the broth was flavorful. The Nupuk Burger, which I had as a snack later, was small but satisfying, with a juicy and tasty patty. After finishing my meal, I visited the free-entry garden, which was the reason for my visit this time. I enjoyed the scent of roses and even encountered a squirrel along the way. The garden, owned by the president of the Tokachi Livestock Artificial Insemination Center, spans about 4 hectares and features various styles of gardens, a dairy farm with Jersey cows, and a flower field with around 1200 rose bushes. Overall, there are about 100 different types of flowers and trees in the garden. The sight of small fish swimming in the stream was quite soothing. I look forward to visiting again on a sunny day to enjoy a meal and explore the garden at a leisurely pace. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant mainly serves hand-made udon noodles. I ordered the "kake udon and small tempura bowl set" this time (*^-^) The udon noodles had a chewy texture and a delicious broth with bonito flavor. It was simple with grated yam and green onions as toppings. The small tempura bowl had shrimp, eggplant, and shiso leaves, but the tempura was a bit soggy. After the meal, I explored the garden with a pond and waterfall, which was well-maintained and beautiful. There were also koi fish in the pond. The restaurant offers both chair seating and traditional Japanese private rooms, and reservations are possible. The name "Nupuk" is an Ainu word, referring to the Nupuk River next to the garden. The Nupuk area is named after this river. The Ainu name "Nupuk River" is believed to mean "river flowing through the field," reflecting the surroundings. You can enjoy the garden throughout the seasons, with autumn foliage and winter scenery to look forward to o(*^▽^*)o~♪"

In winter, it is covered in snow. The lunch menu includes udon, hamburger, beef ginger, pork ginger, tempura, and more. I tried the hamburger lunch set (1,200 yen), but the taste was just average. It includes hamburger, salad, rice, miso soup, and pickles, which seems slightly expensive for the price. There are many other cheaper and tastier options around Obihiro Station. The hamburger set (1,500 yen) comes with dessert. The udon starts at 500 yen for plain noodles, but adding toppings or making it a set easily pushes the price past 700 yen. They also offer original hamburgers. It seems like the cost of maintaining the garden might be included in the meal prices, as you can freely enjoy the garden and take a stroll.
