I saw Happy Man on TV and wanted to try it, so when I was walking at the airport, I found freshly made Happy Man and bought it. It has a slightly sweet skin and a rich, chewy cheese filling. With my now discerning palate, I no longer find this place satisfying. It might be good for someone who has just arrived at New Chitose Airport and hasn't had much soft serve ice cream experience. Lower your expectations and give it a try.

Being a cheese lover who can finish a 1kg shredded cheese in 2-3 weeks, this was a perfect choice for me. After paying, the handsome staff member set a half-cut disk of cheese on a large apparatus next to the cash register. I thought they would just pour melted cheese sauce from the back, but they actually melted real cheese right there. It took a few minutes of slowly heating the cheese until it bubbled and filled the air with a strong cheese aroma. Then, at the right moment, the staff member tilted the apparatus and dropped the mesmerizing cheese droplets onto the skin-on potatoes. They melted a bit more and were served to me. They sprinkled coarse ground pepper on top to finish. I took the dish to a bench. The golden potatoes with white cheese and black pepper emitted heat through the cup. When I skewered a potato, it was fluffy and crispy, with a slightly bitter aroma from the skin. The savory flavor of the cheese added to the experience. Welcome. Found near the Pokémon shop in Terminal 2F of New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal. The shop is filled with famous products from Tokachi. There was a lady who looked like Ayanami Rei. Opens at 8 o'clock. Perfect for souvenirs like pork bowl seasoning. The "Country Home Scenery Ranch Direct Milk Soft Serve" has a rich flavor with a strong milk taste and is refreshing. It served as my breakfast substitute.

I came to New Chitose Airport because I wanted to eat the corn bread from Nocchimu-san and Biei Senka-san on my day off, so I decided to visit other shops as well. Nocchimu-san mentioned that she wanted to try this place, so we decided to check it out. The shop had various products from the Tokachi region on display. Although there were many interesting items, our main goal was to try the Camembert cheese soft serve here. Nocchimu-san couldn't try it last time, so this time was a chance for redemption. We quickly ordered the Camembert cheese soft serve in a cone. When we tried it, it had a rich and creamy texture with a strong Camembert flavor. One of the souvenir shops at New Chitose Airport where you can buy souvenirs from Tokachi in Chitose. The main items are for takeout, but you can also enjoy soft serve ice cream and raclette. I ordered a raclette and while waiting for it to be ready, I looked around at the souvenirs. There are many dairy products and processed foods like beef and pork, typical of Tokachi souvenirs. I picked out some delicious looking items and added them to my purchase. At the same time, I received the raclette. I sat on a bench outside the shop to take a break. The fries were topped with lots of gooey cheese. The cheese stretched really well. The hot potatoes and cheese were a great combination. Once it cools down, the cheese might get hard, but surprisingly, it stayed stretchy until the end! They melt the cheese in front of you and serve it. Oh, it would be nice to buy cheese to do raclette at home too. I enjoyed eating the souvenirs I bought little by little when I got back. They were all delicious. I'm glad I bought the Hapiman (Happy Man) snack.笑

It was a pure milk flavor without any cheese. The soft serve had a swirl that looked like foam, giving a gentle impression. I sat on a nearby chair and started to enjoy it. Hmm, it's not as rich as I expected. I was hoping for a stronger milk flavor from Obihiro. It had a mild and fluffy texture, matching its appearance. The cone was crispy. That's the impression I got. One thing that caught my eye was the yurine (lily root) daifuku. They mix yurine into white bean paste to make yurine bean paste. The white bean paste is probably made from Tokachi white kidney beans. It was frozen, so I was unsure what to do, but they carefully included ice packs. It's rare to see a place that includes ice packs for free, especially when most places charge for them. When I ate it at home, the yurine flavor wasn't very strong, but it was a gentle white bean paste. It was a good and affordable souvenir.

A new shop has opened at Chitose Airport with the concept of "delicious products from Tokachi", offering souvenirs, soft serve ice cream, potato fries, croquettes, ramen, and more. My friend and I visited for the first time after learning about it on the airport's website. We tried the Tokachi Field Fromage Camembert Cheese Soft Serve Ice Cream for 450 yen, the Art Cookies with cows for 1,500 yen, and the Obihiro Coffee Senkayoshida Prezents VALLEYs Original Blend Coffee for 350 yen. The soft serve ice cream was a delightful surprise, with a customer walking around with a fluffy soft serve. The milk and cheese flavors were both delicious, but the milk was our favorite. We also bought the Art Cookies, which were pricey at 1,500 yen but had a cute design. The ginger flavor was strong, and although it was thick and hard to bite into, it was tasty. They also had mini ramen made with Tokachi wheat for 300 yen. There was no seating available, but overall it was a satisfying dining experience.
