2023/1 Revisited my always helpful Caldi. Of course, I bought a lucky bag for New Year's. My family member, who has always been weak for special promotions, naturally reserved it. It came in a cloth eco bag and was quite heavy. With high expectations, I opened it up. It contained honey, olive oil, cabbage sauce, pasta, and mentaiko mayo, among other things. There were also snacks and Caldi coffee. In total, there were over 20 items. This lucky bag felt like a good deal compared to previous special sets. All in all, our family are fans of Caldi. I stopped by after buying groceries at Ario. I purchased ◆Carla Hazelnuts which are quite delicious. ◆Honey Roasted Peanuts have a strong flavor that is sweet and salty, perfect for accompanying drinks. ◆Roy Thai Green Curry is my favorite product that I have purchased many times. I will come back regularly to buy it again!

KALDI is located on the first floor of the commercial facility Ario in Higashi Ward, Sapporo City. I visited around 12:30 on a weekday. As I was passing by the store, a staff member called out from the storefront. She mentioned the popular Lemoncello that sells out quickly every year, and that the version with a shot glass is limited. The Lemoncello is made from lemons from Campania, Italy, with no artificial coloring or preservatives, and has an alcohol content of 30%. It has a refreshing lemon scent and is sweet and delicious. It can be enjoyed straight from the freezer, mixed with carbonated drinks for a summer feel, or even mixed with beer for a fruity beer taste. The shot glass this year has a design with red and yellow lemons on it, while last year's was light blue with yellow lemons. KALDI has many interesting products to explore, making it an enjoyable shopping experience.

During a revisit to Sapporo in February 2022, the city was still dealing with heavy snow damage. In times like this, you have to head to a large supermarket nearby, and we ended up stopping by "Kaldi." It turns out my spouse had reserved something for this day. The staff at this store are better at drawing you in than any other "Kaldi" I've been to. Whether it's wine or chocolate, they skillfully lure you in with phrases like "this is the last sale of the year." Apparently, it was "Cat Day." I guess we were reeled in by that. By the way, we have a useless dog at home. We've never had a cat. (laughs)

I like to stop by "Caldi Farm" regularly without buying anything. I enjoy browsing through the various products displayed and sometimes find cooking inspiration or good deals. This time, I bought Italian dressing (30% off), Gorgonzola spread, oil sardines, prunes, and various nuts. The Italian dressing was a new product for me, and while the taste was normal, I usually prefer non-oil dressings. The Gorgonzola spread was not too strong, which I liked. I tried it on toast and would like to use it in pasta or other dishes. As for the oil sardines, I'm still thinking about how to use them and haven't consumed them yet. The prunes are pitted and semi-dried, and surprisingly tasty. They are not too sweet, making them a good snack for kids. They seem like a healthy addition to breakfast or a snack. Revisited in June 2021, I went to AEON Sapporo, which is close to my home, to buy something. First, I went to the bookstore on the third floor, while my family spent plenty of time at "Uniqlo" and "ABC Mart". Afterwards, we went down to the first floor for some shopping. If there is a "Kaldi", we tend to stop by, but since the "COVID-19 pandemic", the coffee tasting service is no longer available. At this AEON store, there is a woman who is very good at selling, explaining the products while offering coffee tasting. Before we knew it, we ended up buying a wine set with phrases like "last of the year", "only until the end of the year", "very cost-effective", etc. The "Summer Set" for 1,840 yen includes lemon sangria, lemon-patterned plates, lemon cookies, and a tote bag. For some reason, my family bought it, even though it didn't seem like a great deal. This female employee here is really something.

At Kaldi, there are many things I like, including seasonal and limited edition items that you may never see again. For example, Uni Senbei, dried banana with chocolate, cinnamon-flavored Shine Muscat with honey. Since it's February, I expected a wide selection of chocolates, but they were actually having a bread pairing fair. They didn't have Shine Muscat jam, so I tried the La France version from the same series. It was delicious! I thought Shine Muscat was a seasonal item, but it turns out it's only available for a limited time. It's sold out at Kaldis nationwide, and the next restock date is uncertain. If La France runs out, maybe I'll try the Tar Tar with Iburi Gakko...

I finally got my hands on a hard-to-find seasoning! I saw it being used by celebrities on TV while cooking, and they introduced it as a "versatile seasoning". I was very curious about its versatility and taste. Finally, I got it! Maximum Yakiniku Punch is a seasoning that I saw at Yokado, so I thought it would be available everywhere. The staff recommended it to me, and I purchased it. It has a garlic aroma, black pepper, and chili. You can use this seasoning to make yakiniku sauce with citrus juice. It's recommended for those who like lemon, yuzu, and other citrus fruits. Maximum has various spices, including cumin, so it has a slight curry flavor. It's not too strong. It's a versatile seasoning that can be used for grilling, stir-frying, frying, soups, dressings, and more. If you tend to cook quickly for yourself, especially as a man living alone, it's very useful. Thank you for the meal!

This is a review of a product I purchased in March. I'm not sure if this store is currently closed for self-restraint or open. I saw this strawberry liqueur on Twitter and decided to check it out while shopping at Ario. It happened to be on sale for 908 yen, so I bought it. I looked it up online and found out that it's recommended to mix it with milk. I'm not good with alcohol, so I'm happy that I can drink it with milk. Even though I'm not good with alcohol, I don't dislike it and sometimes feel like having a drink. When I tried it, it had a smooth taste like strawberry added to Kahlua milk coffee, making it easy to drink. I just opened the bottle, so only the liquid came out, but there are small strawberry pieces inside the alcohol, so I'm looking forward to when they come out. For people like me who don't drink much and aren't familiar with alcohol, going to a liquor store or department store's alcohol section is a bit intimidating. But this store mainly focuses on food and coffee, so it's nice to be able to casually browse for alcohol as well. I will definitely use this store again. Thank you for the meal ☆

I really wanted to eat canelé, and I saw online that the canelé from Kaldis is delicious, so I went to look for it right away. Unfortunately, the Apita store didn't have the freezer equipment, so they didn't have it. Finally, I was able to get it. I love eating it after letting it thaw naturally for about 30 minutes at room temperature since I don't have a toaster at home. The crispy outside and chewy inside texture was exactly what I was looking for! I don't like when this type of pastry has a strong caramel taste (I don't like caramel), but this one had a subtle rum aroma that I really enjoyed. It's like a chewy version of a croissant. When warmed up, the inside becomes gooey, which is also delicious, but I prefer the natural thawing method for the chewy texture. I think I will end up buying it every time I go to Kaldis because it's reasonably priced. Next time, I want to try canelé from a proper bakery since my first experience was with Kaldis' canelé.

I bought a cup of mulled wine (red) again. I have bought cups with blue, white, and yellow bases before, but the one I really wanted was the one with a red base, which I missed out on buying online. Red seems the most Christmas-like and warm. The shape of the cup this time is slightly elongated, different from the round ones I had before. It's still cute, but this shape looks sleek. I wonder if they will sell the same shape with different base colors next year? The price should be the same as the white mulled wine set I bought last time, probably around 767 yen. It's affordable with a cup included. I also bought Christmas chocolates in a tin case. Although I don't really use pen holders, I couldn't resist buying it. Even if I never use it, just looking at it makes me happy. The taste of the chocolate was okay. I will visit the store again. This shop is located on the 1st floor of Ario Sapporo. The season for Gluhwein (hot wine) has arrived again this year. For Sapporo residents, the encounter with Gluhwein may also be at the "Munich Christmas Market" in Odori Park. In recent years, Caldi has been selling Gluhwein in 250ml sizes with a different colored original cup base every year. Last year, the red wine set had a blue cup base, and the white wine set had a white base. This year, the white wine base color was yellow. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the color, but if you've come this far, you might want to collect them all. For those who don't need the cup, they also sell full bottle size Gluhwein. I think it's a seasonal item, so it's limited time only. If you're worried about buying a full bottle right away and not liking it... trying a small size might be a good idea. The price was very reasonable at 767 yen. I would like to purchase it again next time. My wife and I came to Ario Sapporo with no particular reason, just to kill time (laughs). As usual, we peek into the Kaldi store. I want to try the coffee samples too. There is a "Coffee Day Drawstring Set" on display. Hmm, it seems a bit expensive, but we, the foolish couple who are weak to limited edition items, will buy it (laughs). So, we bought it! It comes with a Halloween mask (laughs). The drawstring bag is quite large. What should I put in it? The coffee is a simple drip style. It seems to contain slightly expensive coffee like Ethiopia, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Rwanda. I tried Ethiopia and Brazil, and they are indeed delicious. It has a nice aroma. Thank you for the meal! This shop is located on the first floor of Ario Sapporo. I came here because they were selling 6000 yen worth of shopping vouchers that can be used at specialty stores inside Ario for 5000 yen. I had participated in a similar promotion about a year ago where I bought 10,000 yen worth of vouchers and used them up, so this time I bought 2 sets again. Since I was already at Ario, I did some shopping at various stores. They were offering a sample sale of natural cheese with white mold on crackers inside the shop, and it was quite delicious so I bought some. This shop offers imported products, local goods, and original items, making it enjoyable to just browse around. They often have coffee tasting at the entrance as well. It's fun to sip coffee and leisurely look around at the products. I used 2000 yen of the shopping vouchers I bought that day. Since no change is given, I used a Nanaco card for the remaining amount. Located on the east side of Sapporo Station, on the first floor of the large commercial facility Ario Sapporo.Visited for the first time at 7:30 pm on November 23, 2018, and couldn't help but stop by Calbee. I came to Ario Sapporo after a long time, so I also looked around the store and bought some for my colleagues as a gift. Calbee's potato chips - Laab flavor. I bought 3 bags this time because I bought them the other day and they were delicious. The sourness of lemongrass and the savory taste of minced meat. I went to Ario's Kaldi in the morning on the day of release to buy the Gluhwein and cup set (753 yen) released on 11/6. Last year, the same set (with a red base cup) was released, and I wanted it, but it sold out quickly and I missed out, so this time I came to Ario for this. It's hot wine with spices. It's an original limited set, so it sells out quickly. The wine is 250ml, so it's convenient for trying it out. As Christmas approaches, Kaldi's paper bags become more festive and lovely. This shop is located on the first floor of Ario. This spring, it was renovated and moved to the adjacent space. It was my first time shopping there since the renovation. At Kaladi, they sometimes release cute original sets. In the past, there was a set with apple liquor, snacks, and an apple-patterned tote bag. I remember finding out a few days after it was released, calling about six Kaladi stores in the city to check stock, finally finding it at the faraway Kuwan store, having them hold it for me, and going to buy it. This time, it's a set of lemon liquor, lemon donuts, a lemon-patterned tray, and a lemon-patterned eco bag. I love fruit patterns, so just looking at them makes me happy. And all of this for 1800 yen including tax is quite reasonable. I found out about the release on Twitter two days before, so I came to buy it on the day of the release. Caldi Coffee Farm Sapporo has reopened with a new renovation. They have moved to a new location, previously occupied by a bakery on the first floor. Everything is 10% off, and all Caldi coffee products are half price. I decided to try their Premium Dark Roast coffee, along with their usual honey and herbal tea. They also had affordable wines, so I picked up some for my daughter who is returning home. The store layout is now more organized and easy to navigate.
