I came to "Sakanaya Inui" in Nishi-Umeda. It's a popular restaurant where customers who come without a reservation are turned away one after another. I ordered Tokyo, Hachijo Island, Hachijo Development, sweet potato shochu, sake from Jokeshima, and mizuwari. We ordered a course meal for the day. The first dish was a simmered dish of Tsukimi fish. The first assortment of sashimi arrived, including Akou oysters, Kawahagi liver, Kawahagi sashimi, Anago sashimi, and Anago shirako. They were all incredibly delicious. The second assortment of sashimi arrived, including Akagai, Maguro, Toro, Uniika, natural Buri, and Ishidai. They were all fresh and delicious. The grilled fish was Shiromadai. I was thrilled to have my favorite Shiromadai. The meat around the bones was delicious. The grilled vegetables included Manjūji chili peppers, edamame, and lotus root. They were fragrant and had a natural sweetness. The simmered fish was Gin-tara. It came with eggplant, pumpkin, burdock root, and spinach. The fatty Gin-tara was tender and delicious. The tempura assortment included Hamo, firefly squid, bamboo shoots, and burdock root. The Hamo was thick and juicy. The meal came with ikura rice, with plenty of plump ikura. The soup was a clear soup with wakame and mitsuba. The address is B1F, Chiyoda Building Nishi Bekkan, 2-5-8 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City.

I felt like eating fish and luckily there was a vacant seat available. We ordered a sashimi platter, which came on two plates, and it was amazing with its firm texture and sweet umami flavor. The tempura, sandwiched fried fish, and grilled fish were also delicious and filling. If you want to enjoy a variety of fish dishes, this place is recommended. The restaurant has a counter and a few tables, so you can see the whole place. The staff also kindly asked if we wanted anything else when our drinks were running low.

I visited this restaurant that I really liked before the pandemic, after 3 years. The assorted sashimi comes in two plates. The shellfish is incredibly sweet! The seared dishes are unbelievably fragrant and fresh! The conger eel also came out looking very beautiful and refreshing. The two of us devoured a huge amount. I will definitely come back again soon!

Welcoming a friend from Chiba to our restaurant. We have known each other since before the pandemic, and this friend has great skills in networking and negotiation. They even started their own company a few years ago, and I have learned a lot from them. They came all the way from Umeda to visit our restaurant, as it is well-known for its fish dishes in Osaka. We serve bonito sashimi, which is not common, and the Naruto hamo is a great treat for guests. Our conversation mostly revolved around life after retirement. At the counter, we noticed a foreigner looking bored, and after offering them some hamo to try, we found out they were an art professor from the Renaissance period. Despite the challenging topic, they even offered to pay our bill, which was a kind gesture. The food we were served was delicious, although having Wi-Fi would have made the conversation more lively and extended our stay. But if it's the restaurant's policy, then we understand.

I visit this restaurant about once every year and a half. It's a place where fish lovers gather. It's not very convenient from Nishi-Umeda, as you still have to walk, but it always seems to be full. The fish is fresh and you can enjoy various types, but for someone like me who has limited options in terms of what fish I can eat, it can be a bit of a dilemma. However, this time I saw "firefly squid sashimi" for the first time. I've never seen it in Kansai before! My companion was surprised. I definitely want to come back with my partner. Because if it's just sashimi, I might struggle, so I want to try different types of fish. There seems to be a wide variety of alcohol, but there are probably not even 10 types of sake. Today, we had a new masu bottle opened for us, so it must have been delicious. It might be hard to have freedom without becoming a regular.

I found a place where you can eat delicious fish in Umeda. The location is an 8-minute walk from JR Osaka Station. I made a reservation and when I arrived, they didn't have a table set up with chopsticks, but they quickly arranged one for me. The menu included a variety of dishes, with the first being a specialty sashimi platter and a bottle of Kuro Ryu Daiginjo Crystal Dragon sake. The appetizer was tsukune, which had a slightly strong seasoning but was delicious. The sashimi platter included bonito tataki, conger eel, octopus, sea urchin, bluefin tuna (medium and lean cuts), squid, abalone, flounder marinated in kelp, grilled pike conger, and scallop with wasabi. The presentation was beautiful, but the freshness of the fish was not very noticeable. The conger eel was the most delicious, followed by the grilled pike conger. The bone senbei made from various fish bones was surprisingly large and tasty. The sweet red sea bream was decent. The Awaodori chicken tataki was juicy but had a slightly unpleasant smell. The fruit tomato was very sweet and delicious. Overall, the side dishes were more delicious than the fish dishes. The total cost was 9930 yen.

Today in Osaka again, in Nishi-Umeda. I visited Sakana-ya Inui-san. Today, I ordered the clam salt ramen for 780 yen and a bottle of beer for 580 yen. The soup is a combination of clam umami and chicken broth. It's well-balanced as a ramen soup, with a good balance rather than a strong clam flavor. The highlight is the noodles. The thick curly noodles are just right. They have a good balance with the soup, satisfying texture, and they mix well with the soup. The chicken chashu is moist and flavorful, well-prepared. The toppings like clams and nori are well thought out, making it a fun dish. This place seems to focus more on evening dining. I sat at the counter, and it seems like they offer good appetizers at night. They also have a nice selection of drinks. The prices are reasonable based on the menu, and the reviews from familiar reviewers are high. Well, 2021 was quite a year. I never imagined experiencing a global pandemic in my lifetime. It's not good to simply think that something big is happening in the world. It seems better to actively take measures rather than blame others. Let's rev up for 2022. Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it. And with that, thank you for the meal today.

Today, my family and I came here. We decided to have lunch before heading to the "Osaka Chuo Hospital" where my family regularly visits. This restaurant is known for its delicious fish dishes, but during lunchtime they serve ramen, so we decided to give it a try. We parked our car at the hospital parking lot, took a wheelchair for a few minutes, and went down the stairs to the dimly lit restaurant on the B1 floor. The interior had a kitchen on the left, a counter with 5 seats in front, three 4-person tables on the right, and a small 2-person table near the entrance. It was run by three men. The menu offered two types of soba: "Clam Salt" and "Shrimp", as well as sets with a side dish and rice. We ordered the "Shrimp Soba", "Clam Salt Soba", and "Young Chicken Karaage Set". The Shrimp Soba had a strong but gentle seafood flavor from the first bite. The noodles were transparent and had a chewy texture, lifting the soup well. The toppings included tender chicken chashu, seaweed, cherry tomatoes, chopped seaweed, shredded red pepper, and green onions. I also tried the Clam Salt Soba, which had a mild and salty flavor with chicken and seafood in the broth. The chicken karaage was soft and juicy, and the rice was delicious. We finished our meal quickly. Personally, I think a bit more chicken flavor would make it even better. Overall, the ramen served at this izakaya was surprisingly high-quality and authentic. The service was good. Thank you for the meal. Note: Not wheelchair accessible, toilet not confirmed, no parking available.

I visited this place for lunch. They operate as a ramen shop during lunch hours. I ordered the clam salt ramen. The clam flavor was strong and the noodles were curly. The chashu was soft and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation after a long time and visited "Sakanaya Inui", a popular restaurant in the Nishi-Umeda area where you can enjoy delicious fish dishes at a reasonable price. It's always full without a reservation! Last time, I tried to make a reservation 2-3 days before when my work schedule was clear, but it was still fully booked. Finally, after asking for a reservation for the following Saturday at 7:00 PM, I got an OK. It's quite a challenge to visit a popular restaurant. The place is located in the basement of a building near the middle of Sakurabashi and Deiribashi on National Route 2. The exterior looks surprisingly lonely. The seats are right inside, a table for two. The space is isolated from other seats, a bit dark but quiet and nice. First, cheers with a glass of draft beer! I carefully read the menu filled with delicious dishes and placed an order. - Tskudashi/Aori Ika to Kogimo no Age-dashi...? yen Crispy fried with a refreshing texture and a slightly yuzu-flavored strong dashi, this fried dish is very delicious. - Sashimi platter...2 servings 5,000 yen (excluding tax) ~ First plate ~ Nagasaki Yaito Bonito Tataki Naruto Conger Eel Akashi Live Octopus Yamaguchi Tiger Puffer ~ Second plate ~ Shimane Sablefish Tataki Nagasaki Akou Shimane Aori Ika Chiba Mackerel Vinegar Miso Natural Indian Tuna Toro・Akami Red Clam A platter of sashimi divided into two plates, each one more delicious than the other. Especially, the grilled sablefish and bonito tataki were flavorful! The tuna, both lean and fatty, were delicious! And, the highlight was the "Conger Eel"!! Oh, the texture and umami were excellent beyond imagination. I was very satisfied with the platter. - Niigata Shime Haritsuru Junmai Ginjo...switched♪ - Aichi Grilled White Eel...1,800 yen (excluding tax) The eel with a crispy and fragrant skin was deliciously grilled with a rich flavor. I like Conger Eel, but I still prefer eel. It came with one cute piece of eel liver. It was delicious with the flavor of sansho pepper! - Bone senbei...480 yen (excluding tax) There were various fish bones, and since the lateral bones were removed, they were easy to eat! The curry salt and shrimp salt were delicious. - Fukui Black Dragon Special Ginjo...switched♪ Also... - Lotus Root Stuffed with Shrimp Paste Tempura...750 yen (excluding tax) - Simmered Tai Fish Roe...650 yen (excluding tax) - Hokkaido Uni Gunkan...2 pieces 950 yen (excluding tax) The oysters from Senpoushi and the silver cod from Hokkaido were sold out!! I wanted to try them. "Sakanaya Inui" is my first time visiting, and my impression is delicious!! Ah, happiness!! I'm glad I came!! I'll come again. It's a restaurant that makes you feel that way. The reservation hurdle is high, so it's not easy to visit casually, but the options for delicious fish in Umeda have increased. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal!

I believe there are many good fish restaurants and sake bars out there, but finding a place that offers delicious fish, good value, and tasty sake or shochu all in one is rare. Thanks to Tabelog, I discovered such a place. The key is to always order the best sashimi platter, have beer, shochu, and sake ready in advance, and enjoy a drink with every delicious bite of fish. This restaurant has consistently provided excellent service and food, even during the pandemic. I highly recommend it.

Weekend around 6:00 PM. It was not crowded. It was my first visit in a while. The interior was still stylish and the staff was polite. - Assorted sashimi The sashimi here is truly delicious no matter which piece you try. It comes in two separate plates with a variety of around 11 types. The sea urchin, tuna, and even the octopus were all tender and tasty. So satisfying! - Simmered bamboo shoots Large pieces of bamboo shoots. The wakame seaweed was soft and tender. The broth was elegant but not too light, just perfect. Delicious. - Shrimp mayonnaise Large, firm shrimp with a generous portion. The crispy fried coating and just the right amount of mayonnaise sauce made it really tasty. Really delicious. I want to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the meal.

A favorite restaurant of an acquaintance. I had always wanted to go there, but every time I called for a same-day reservation, I was told they were fully booked. Finally, I was able to make a reservation and visited with high expectations. I ordered a sashimi assortment. It was served on two plates, one for eating with soy sauce and the other with ponzu sauce. The presentation was luxurious, and the tuna was especially delicious. The sake was also great, so I will definitely go back.

The fish was very delicious. The sashimi platter was the most expensive but truly impressive. The innards of the shellfish I tried for the first time were very bitter, but went well with the Japanese sake. The pufferfish tempura, oyster fry, everything was incredibly delicious. We finished with eel sushi and sea urchin sushi. And one more thing I realized was that good fish definitely tastes better with Japanese sake. The sake here was poured to the brim. The conversation flowed and the sake kept coming. On the way back, I felt drunk for the first time in a while. Thank you for the meal.

I tried to make a reservation four times before finally getting a seat without one. It turns out that asking someone to make a reservation for you can actually work. There were three of us dining and we sat at a table. We started with some draft beer and ordered a sashimi platter for 2000 yen per person. The variety of sashimi was impressive and delicious! We began with a platter to eat with ponzu sauce, which included Umazurahage sashimi and liver, Hokkaido white fish roe, and torafugu sashimi. The Umazurahage liver was especially amazing! The platter with soy sauce included abalone sashimi and liver, raw Indian tuna, snapper from Naruto, Hokkaido scallops, and mackerel from Aomori. Everything was truly delicious! The steamed egg custard appetizer was a nice touch. We also had salad, tempura with vegetables, grilled kinki fish, simmered silver cod, simmered sea bream roe, ankimo (monkfish liver), and deep-fried lily bulbs and chestnuts, all of which were tasty. I would love to visit this restaurant again soon if I can get a reservation. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is my first visit. This restaurant seems to be famous for its seafood dishes. The assorted sashimi is rich in variety and very good. Depending on the season, we enjoyed firefly squid, yellowtail, fatty tuna, sea urchin, and shrimp. We also tried various fried dishes, all of which were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have visited this place many times, and the fish is excellent, paired perfectly with drinks like Kuro Ryu. The grilled conger eel and aburi dishes are the best, along with the taihirame from Akashi, fatty tuna from Nagasaki, Hokkaido sea urchin, and more. The sashimi platter served in two rounds was exceptional. The water eggplant and grilled eel with liver were perfect for the hot weather!

Sashimi is served with explanations of the regions where the fish was caught. The menu and drinks selection are extensive, and I always end up drinking too much (laughs). However, the prices are reasonable. It's a great place to go when you want to eat delicious fish.
