[Smoking status unconfirmed] Sapporo Citizen's Kitchen, located in Sapporo Chuo Market within the Sapporo Chuo Wholesale Center, sells bento boxes, side dishes, and operates a lunch-only dining area. During the year-end period, the dining area is closed. The shop is located in the middle of the first floor of the Sapporo Chuo Wholesale Center building. On December 28, 2022, around 11 o'clock, revisited the market, including Maruka, Otaru Market, and Sapporo Chuo Wholesale, where I usually lead the shopping. For the first time, my father reacted to something. It seems that he was interested in the simmered beans. I recommended them because I had eaten them before and they were delicious. He ended up buying them. He also showed interest in the squid rings. I suggested that the side dishes here are also delicious. To my surprise, my father said he would buy all the remaining squid rings, which were about 400g, for around 700 yen. The shop staff even gave us some small leftover pieces of squid rings as a service. For lunch, we had ramen and fried rice at Kozuki, so I wasn't very hungry, but after finishing shopping and arriving home, we intended to just taste the squid rings. However, they were so delicious that we ended up almost finishing them all. Despite the squid being quite thick, the fried texture was incredibly soft and crispy. The savory aroma enhanced the irresistible taste, and the slightly strong saltiness only added to the satisfaction. It was a rare sight to see my father, who grew up loving seafood as the son of a seaweed fisherman, so delighted. The squid rings go well with both alcohol and rice, and if they were freshly fried, they would definitely score a 5 out of 5 for taste.

Sapporo Central Market. A place that supports the stomachs of people working from early morning with its food stalls and deli shops. From the lined up bento boxes to various deli dishes, the colorful items are neatly displayed. However, the main attraction here is the "soba" that you can enjoy at the dining area. Unfortunately, due to social circumstances, the dining area is currently closed. It's a shame. Mini Katsudon ¥280 Various bento boxes with plenty of side dishes are priced around 500 yen. I decided to buy a cute mini bento. Fluffy egg on top of a generous portion of rice, topped with a round katsu. It's drizzled with tonkatsu sauce. Enjoyed it with the soup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Marutoku" at the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market outside market, Sapporo Wholesale Center. It's my regular check-up day, so I made a quick stop before heading to work. I already have my wife's bento, but I decided to add another one! Today's recommended bento is 398 yen including tax, it's like a nori bento! It includes fried white fish with tartar sauce, chikuwa tempura, croquette, red wiener, and seaweed on the bottom. It may be a bit small in portion, but it's a side bento, so it's enough! The fried white fish is a bit oily, but the tartar sauce covers it up! The chikuwa tempura is a bit longer than usual, which feels like a bonus! The croquette is just delicious! For 398 yen, it was simply delicious with no complaints! Due to the lack of foreign visitors because of COVID-19, the market is not as lively, so we need to support the locals. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a kitchen in Sapporo, located in the Sapporo Nijo Market at the Sapporo Nijo Wholesale Center. They sell bento boxes and side dishes, and have a lunchtime dining area. During the year-end period, the dining area is closed. The shop is located in the middle of the first floor of the Sapporo Nijo Wholesale Center building. I bought some mochi and then visited this shop. They offer bento boxes and side dishes with a home-cooked taste. I couldn't resist buying some. I bought a rice ball for 198 yen, which had three kinds of fillings: bonito, salmon, and kelp. It seemed to be on the salty side, perhaps catering to those working in the central market. I enjoyed it as a snack during a break from my year-end cleaning. I also bought a seaweed bento, but I forgot the price. I added it to our dinner as a side dish without heating it up since we don't have a microwave at home. It was delicious and made me smile with its tasty flavor.

In the Zasshichu Wholesale Center, there is a shop called "Marutoku" that sells bento boxes, side dishes, and thick rolls. The layout of the store with items lined up on both sides of the aisle gives off a market-like atmosphere, making the food look especially delicious. The menu includes a variety of bento boxes, side dishes, and thick rolls, with the tempura rice bowl being placed without a lid to prevent moisture. The tempura rice bowl with three large prawns and various vegetables costs 550 yen, offering good value for money. The daily bento box is priced at 500 yen, while the thick rolls range from 400 to 600 yen depending on the ingredients. The side dishes mainly consist of fried items, but there are also a few simmered dishes like simmered hijiki seaweed and simmered fish. I tried the tuna pickled thick roll priced at 600 yen for dinner. The texture of the tuna was slightly weak, and I wished there was a bit more filling, but I enjoyed the taste of the vinegared rice. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the roll was just right in terms of firmness. I would like to try other thick rolls as well.

The store name suggests a well-established shop. Delicious looking side dishes and bento boxes are neatly displayed. They offer fried foods like zangi and aji fry, as well as rice bowls like katsudon, yakitori don, and tempura don. They also have large mackerel sushi rolls and egg-rich five-ingredient sushi rolls. The store is nicely illuminated and everything looks incredibly appetizing. After much deliberation, I decided to purchase the shrimp tempura rice bowl for 550 yen, which looked delicious. The shrimp was a good size and the tempura sauce was tasty. The frying and breading were perfect, making it a great value for money tempura rice bowl. The large five-ingredient sushi roll for 500 yen is also very appealing. The shime mackerel sushi roll for 980 yen is also huge and a great deal. The visuals of the omelette rice and spaghetti Napolitan are also enticing. This shop also offers wholesale prices. I wonder what I should try next? I'm looking forward to it!

I visited Marutoku, which sells deli foods and bento boxes inside the Satsu Chuo Wholesale Center. It was New Year's Eve and the parking lot was full, with quite a few people coming and going, but I didn't see anyone stopping to buy here. Perhaps many people come early in the morning to make their purchases. As a result, the regular bento boxes were already sold out, and the deli section had New Year's traditional simmered dishes like taro with no price tags, as well as tempura shrimp and vegetable tempura for New Year's Eve soba. I decided to try the beef bowl priced at 450 yen. I was tempted by the simmered dishes as well, but decided not to ask about the prices as it seemed like it would take some time to talk to the staff. I thought about putting the tempura shrimp on top of the New Year's Eve soba, but this time I just bought the beef bowl and left. It looked like there was a half-cooked egg cut in half inside, with a gooey yolk that looked delicious. When I actually tasted it, the flavor was not as good as the ones you can get at chain restaurants like Nakau or Yoshinoya, where you can eat it fresh and hot at the store. It was reasonably priced at less than 500 yen, but I have bought cheaper ones at the supermarket before. Since it was a bento, it couldn't be helped, but the texture of the rice was not great, and I ended up leaving some of it. The half-cooked egg with its gooey yolk and the tasty beef were good, but the rice seemed to have absorbed too much of the sauce and had lost its flavor over time. It was already past lunchtime, so it had been a while since it was made, which may have contributed to the flavor decline. I thought I would come back when they have more regular bento boxes available and try to buy one in the morning. ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ I plan to visit again in the future.

In October 2015, this shop offers fried foods, side dishes, and bento boxes at very reasonable prices. I saw crab croquettes priced at 70 yen and asked if they were cream croquettes. They confirmed that they were crab cream croquettes, so I bought them along with some squid rings. The crab cream croquette looked crispy on the outside, but when I reheated it in the oven, the creamy crab filling was rich and delicious. The white sauce was smooth, not too runny or too thick, just right. The squid rings were ordinary but still made a great addition to dinner. Thank you for the meal! ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

Welcome! In Sapporo Chuo Wholesale Market in the Kuwaen area of Chuo Ward, there is a place called Sanchu Center where Foodie-san is said to appear often because they wake up early, even in winter. There used to be an eat-in space behind the store, but it might have only been available in the summer. I couldn't help but be amazed by the size of the sushi roll in front of the lovely lady. Sorry, sorry! The daily bento in front had salmon and tonkatsu, and even though I intended to go for the tonkatsu, I ended up being unfaithful due to the location. This is a good thing! There was also a rich variety of healthy side dishes, making me wonder if the store could keep up. But I bought them without worrying. From handing over the goods to receiving the money, there was a natural smile throughout the transaction, and I was soothed until the end. It was a time that didn't waste, so I left the market. Now, time to eat! The salmon bento from the daily specials had a variety and volume of side dishes! The salty and fatty grilled salmon was delicious! The saltiness made the rice go down smoothly, and the bento was packed full. The fried items included squid rings, korokke, shrimp fry, chikuwa, red wiener, sweet thick omelet, simmered hijiki, and nori with bonito flakes on top. Basil pasta, mayonnaise macaroni salad, and pickles finished off the meal. I was full! The beef korokke was 5 pieces for 130 yen, making supermarkets cry. The moist korokke had a strong flavor of beef and sweet potatoes, and you could taste the power of the ingredients. It was much more impressive than the supermarket version. It didn't need sauce, thanks to the perfect seasoning. I want to eat the thick sushi roll like a lucky direction roll, but oh, it's so delicious! There were two thick omelets in the bento! One was wrapped in crab sticks, simmered gourd, and shredded shiitake mushrooms, and the other had a generous filling with cucumber, sakura denbu, and more. It was voluminous and easy to eat, even for children or those who are picky eaters. I went back the next day, and it was still crowded. Customers naturally had smiles on their faces in this cozy place. Thank you, and it was a delicious meal! I would love to try eating in during the summer!

◆◆◆◆◆◆【Second Submission】◆◆◆◆◆◆【July 2013】This is my second submission, so I'll briefly introduce the creative Japanese cuisine "TAKU" in Maruyama, which came up with "Tomato Soba," and also add "Uno Hana."■Tomato SobaCreated by the creative Japanese cuisine "TAKU" in Maruyama, this is a cold ramen with tomato soup. The noodles are made from 100% Ebe wheat, a local variety used in ramen. The soup is slightly diluted and made using domestic tomatoes. The soup has a hint of dashi flavor and is slightly thin. It combines a mix of Japanese, Chinese, and Western flavors. Since the soup is light, it feels more like cold ramen than traditional ramen. It doesn't come with toppings, so you can add your own. Available at Kikusui for 398 yen for a pack of 2.■Uno HanaThis is a homemade dish with a gentle flavor that offers good value for its price. It's moist and easy to eat. Available for 148 yen per pack.Tomato Soba is perfect for hot summers. I think it would taste even better if the soup were richer. Instead of mustard, I tried it with Tabasco. Uno Hana is healthy and affordable.◆◆◆◆◆◆【First Submission】◆◆◆◆◆◆Marutoku is a store that offers bento boxes and croquettes with a nostalgic Showa era vibe!【April 2012】Marutoku is a store that exudes the nostalgic scent of the Showa era, offering bento boxes and croquettes. It opens at 5 am and closes around 2 pm. If you go around 1 pm, there may be limited items left. Located near the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market, it's a popular spot for market workers. The store is in the Kuwazon area of Chuo Ward, Sapporo, within the Sapporo Chuo Wholesale Market Center. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. The Wholesale Market Center itself has a Showa era atmosphere. They fry croquettes at the back of the store. They are cheap and delicious, priced around 50 yen each. The items are displayed on platforms rather than in showcases, reminiscent of old market styles. You rarely see this in the Maruyama area, and it's becoming scarce even in the neighboring Kuwazon area. They sell bento boxes and side dishes at reasonable prices. In the fall, they also sell cheap Chinese-style oden bags. For 120 yen, you get 5 items like eggs, daikon, and konjac. It's much cheaper than convenience stores and very convenient for singles. Marutoku captures the taste, price, and atmosphere of the Showa era, making it a delightful place for a meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

Located on the outskirts of Sapporo's off-market, in the Sapporo Central Wholesale Center (Sapporo Chuo Oroshi Center), there is a bento and side dish shop that also serves rice inside. The male ratio, excluding staff, is 90 percent. The dress code is casual, workwear, suits, anything goes. Orders are placed by looking at the board at the entrance and paying the bill, cash on delivery style. Despite the limited menu options, it can be quite difficult to decide. Customers receive a numbered ticket and wait to be seated. Even during busy times, the food is usually served within 10 minutes. Self-service corner for water, tea, and condiments. Everything costs 500 yen, with good portion sizes, presentation, and balance. The food is surprisingly delicious, despite not being entirely homemade. It feels like a "staff cafeteria" for those working in the area. There are ample parking facilities in the vicinity. If you're in the area and on a budget, definitely give it a try. The curry is spicy and tasty. The beef bowl tastes like a stew without potatoes. On the other side of the chilled Chinese noodles in the photo, there is a hidden soft-boiled egg. I will continue to visit this place. Thank you for the delicious meal today.

This is a shop located in Sapporo Central Wholesale Market, inside the Sapporo Wholesale Center, that sells side dishes and bento boxes. They offer daily bento boxes with either a main dish of meat or fish. I bought the fish main dish bento box along with some meat side dishes like croquettes. The fish was marinated in miso flavor and grilled, and it was surprisingly delicious. The bento box also included mini tempura, mini croquette, red sausage, a little spaghetti, potato salad, and simmered hijiki seaweed. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The shop also offers a variety of side dishes and pickles, so you can customize your meal to your liking.

Number of visits: Many times The shop "Okazu Koubou Marutoku" is located inside the Sapporo Wholesale Center and sells various side dishes. It has already been reviewed, and I'm sure my fellow reviewers are familiar with it, but it is my favorite shop so I would like to review it as well. From 12:00 to 13:00, you can enjoy a cost-effective lunch at this shop. There is an eat-in space at the back of the side dish shop. Various seasonings such as water, tea, soy sauce, sauce, mayonnaise, etc. are all self-service. It is customary to clean up the dishes yourself after finishing your meal. The eat-in space is surprisingly spacious once you enter! It has an L-shaped counter with 7 seats and a side counter with 6 seats. The menu includes soba noodles and mini gyudon set (with small side dishes and simmered dried daikon) for 500 yen, and pork cutlet set meal (with miso soup and small side dishes) for 500 yen. Other options that vary by day include scallop fry set meal for 500 yen and vegetable stir-fry set meal for 500 yen, among others. The taste is also quite good. The soba noodles come with chopped green onions, tempura crumbs, and naruto fish cakes, while the gyudon has a taste that has been described as "similar to nikujaga" by another reviewer, which is a wonderful expression. It has a nice Japanese taste that I personally enjoy. Today, I had the "pork cutlet set meal" and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal! On a different note, I just saw a news report that Sapporo City refused to accept disaster debris from the earthquake. Is it okay to only care about ourselves? Are the people in Iwate, Miyagi, and the Tohoku region irrelevant? It brings tears of anger to my eyes.

While strolling from Sapporo Morning Market towards the vegetable market, I was lured by a magnificent tendon (tempura rice bowl) calling out to me (lol). Uh oh! Only available on Saturdays! Shrimp tempura bowl for 550 yen! Three shrimp towering over the rice bowl (lol). I had to buy it for dinner. I asked the staff if takeout was possible, and they said many people take it home. That makes sense, since it's a deli shop, right? (^ ^) It looked delicious and reasonably priced, so I got it to go. Looking forward to enjoying it for dinner!

On the morning of April 28, 2022 (Thursday), I went in search of soba noodles, but the restaurant was closed for a while. I had no choice but to go elsewhere. If we meet again, I definitely want to go there. However, it's so lamentable how many drivers blame the automatic lights and don't turn off their lights when parked, causing inconvenience to pedestrians and other vehicles.
